i bought lenovo z50-70 laptop in 2014, still using it everyday, i use both linux centOS and windows OS for different purposes, never felt the need for apple products, i never went to lenovo service center for a single repair or for any software issue, no security issues faced, just because you had money to buy apple products, flaunt the logo and feel like others are 3rd class products, my laptop still working 16 hours a day to prove you wrong and will continue to do so.
What is best for Professional use, I.e for software developers.

Windows for general purpose and support many apps and programs.. MacBook for high end security and specific customer group,won't support many Android apps and programs.
Even windows is providing strong security, but we make it vulnerable by using cracked softwares. Windows warns us before installing the cracked softwares. Apple has airdrop. Windows has onedrive. I don't know about video editing tools. But almost every 3d software publishers or student related software are providing student/community editions. No need to go for crack. And obviously maximum gamers, game developers, animators go for windows.
My suggestion is, if you have money to spend on mac and you really want mac, go for it.
And Mac Arm processor . Most softwares for developers require x86 platform , Mac don’t support
But ARM is the Future of development of apps., its so easy to develop compared to x86-64. Becoz x86-64 have lot of instructions set and difficult to code only by profess programmers
