    Love mine, thanks for the review, mine doesn't have the scalloped safety lever on the right side, it's the same as on the left, but I don't mind. CCI Blazer Brass works great in mine, what you experienced was an out of battery detonation I haven't had any, it can happen in all straight blowback rifles, it's usually because the round didn't seat all the way into the chamber so the bolt isn't 100% closed and then the brass blows out at the back, for some people they'll get a failure to feed and causes a jam, then it deforms the brass and the person instead of ejecting the failure to feed and examine the brass, then shove the messed up round into the chamber and it causes the out of battery detonation, I had the Ruger PC9 Tactical and I prefer the K9, way nicer and less chunky, as I said out of battery detonations can happen in all straight blowback rifles, even the FX9, the Ruger, JR Carbine and all other pistol caliber straight blowbacks, even higher end ones like a Scorpion Evo (Banned in 2020). Make sure that the screws are tight, if they loosen you can get blue loctite for the screws and I've only heard of one person who had their barrel loosen so give it a twist by hand left to right once in a while to check on it, I doubt you'll need to, it's also common for stuff to loosen on pistol caliber rifles if it's not properly torqued or doesn't have loctite on the screw threads, besides that I love it, excellent choice and 100% Canadian made! Don't let anyone tell you it's "Canadian made crap", welcome to the club and make sure to vote Conservative in your riding and Poilievre for Prime Minister next election and get a membership for the Conservative Party so we can get Turdeau and the criminal Liberals out of power and get those gun bans undone and clean up the mess the Libs made!

      How would you compare the k9 to the Ruger pcc?

      @@Scotttt34 I don't have that much hands on experience with the pc9 appart from during a few mags through one but they Handel very similarly. The pc9 is almost half the price if you get the standard version and a few hundred bucks cheaper if you go with the tactical version and has a pic rail attachment for the stock so you are able to customize the gun with Sig folding stocks as well as the fact it has a quick detachable barrel. I enjoy shooting both guns a lot but definitely prefer the ergonomics of the k9

    Good objective comments. I really like my K9, so far about 75 rounds. Did one field strip & clean. I asked Kodiak Canada twice for a manual and didn’t get a response… so not impressed with their customer support/ service. Shooting mine with an Sig Romeo 5 red dot which has been good at 25 & 50 ranges. The firearm is smooth and accurate. Mags are stiff past 3-4 cartridges so I bought a Mag Loader.
    Overall happy with the product but relatively new to sport shooting and my other LG is a GSG so not a big sample size. Appreciate the review, all the best.

      I just had my first encounter with their customer service one of the screws holding the handguard backed out at the range and fell out i contacted kodiak and within a week had 5 replacement screws in the mail

      @@CandaianMinuteman Don't know if you read my original comment, loctite will stop the screws from getting loose, what size allen or hex head size do the screws use? I don't have the proper ones so I want to buy a set of them so I don't strip any of them.

    I received my K9 on Wednesday. Took it apart this afternoon and gave it a cleaning, it was already clean but can’t be too careful. I had the same issue when putting it back together, the rear pin wouldn’t insert into the hole of the bolt. The alignment was off. After watching a couple videos on the take down and reassembling I noticed something. The rear of the 2 guide rods are not completely round. They are “shaved” and must be inserted through the removable part of the bolt in a certain way, the part where you insert the take down pin. The left rod must have the “shaved” edge at a 2 o’clock position and the right at a 10 o’clock position. At that point you just insert the entire bolt as usual. Yes you will have to pull back on the charging handle, lock it back it will make it a lot easier. Then push the pin though the bolt assembly, no need to use a rubber mallet, it inserts effortlessly.

      @@CandaianMinuteman It's common for screws to get loose on PCC's, blue loctite will fix that.

    To get that rear takedown pin out, you just have to flip your rifle upside down on table or hard surface, and squeeze you upper and lower receiver together, then push the pin out at the same time.

      I'll have to give that a try next time I clean the gun thanks for the tip

      @@CandaianMinuteman I also had trouble with the rear take down pin. Disassembly wasn't too bad but pushing it back in was a pain in the ass. I figured out that I needed to pull the charging handle all the way back to make the holes align (it's kind of weird when you're used to an AR). Too bad Kodiak Defense didn't write a manual for this rifle, it would have saved me from a lot of swearing.

    hi, do you have any issue with changing the grip, after I changed my grip, the safety selector was so loose

    • @CandaianMinuteman
      @CandaianMinuteman  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      if your safety is really loose you might have damaged or lost the spring goes into your grip they are relatively affordable to replace. check out my newest video on the trigger replacement it you will see what im talking about when i remove the grip on the wk180

    Take your low round reviews, and shove em. That’s a break in period, not a review.

      @CandaianMinuteman  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      yes, this is stated multiple times that these issues are likely just a break in period. and that I haven't had any issues sense the initial 50ish rounds
