Thank you for what you’re doing here! My 22 year old daughter has been dealing with this for years. We had no idea this was what was happening and causing it. I thought I was going to lose her. The doctors haven’t been able to find anything through all the testing. Now, we have an answer. Keep up the good work. Oh, and I’ve been clean from opiates after a 20 plus year addiction. Bless you! ❤

i’m 19 and have been smoking daily for maybe 10 months? I was diagnosed with CHS yesterday in the ER and am currently in the bath. I honestly have no desire to smoke right now as I’ve been nauseous for the past 3 days straight. I think it’s so interesting because i was told about CHS before by my psychiatrist and was told to cut back but i didn’t listen. I feel like at least for me, after smoking for so long, the nausea comes when i don’t smoke. I was in a cycle of smoking to momentarily get rid of my nausea, not wanting to accept the fact that THC was the underlying cause of my nausea. I can’t wait to feel normal again. i’ve stopped throwing up but i’m still so nauseous and i’m scared that if i do eat I’ll get nauseous again. I have almost no energy all i’ve been doing the past 3 days is sleeping or staring at a wall because i barely have the energy to be awake. anyways i genuinely feel like i’m dying and really hope i can start getting food in me as I am also underweight and don’t know if I can afford to not eat for much longer. I was also perscribed a proton pump inhibitor as I had some inflammation in my stomach from throwing up so much so i hope that helps me too
edit: it’s been 8 days since i originally posted and i feel like myself again! i can eat and drink fluids without feeling nauseous and i am just so grateful. i have never been so grateful to have the ability to chug water. i just wanted to come back so people know that at least for me, the symptoms lasted 10 days. i genuinely never plan smoke again after this, but it is also difficult. i’m so emotional now that i’m sober i’ve literally cried every day but at the same time it’s also really refreshing to be sober after being consistently high for so long. i can actually remember what i did yesterday lol. i wish the best to anyone else dealing with chs and/or an addiction 🫶🏻.

bro ive been looking for someone with a similar experience, its the exact same for me and im on day 3, ive never thrown up before after quitting weed but this time was differetn, i had been doing it for 6 months and the strains kept levelling up each month to the point where i was spending £50 just for a few days worth, at my young age as well all this definitely contributed to getting CHS. I feel your pain man and it's good to know that it does go away.

This sounds like everything I'm dealing with but I've abused so many substances that the sickness has all blurred together through the years. I'm so confused. I'm thinking that it's stomach problems but it could be this. Could you drink water? I seem to not be able to stay hydrated. I'm losing weight because I keep throwing up and can't stay hydrated. No energy. But I puke if I don't smoke too and that's what's confusing me and making me think it could be stomach issues. This is all been so confusing. I'm starting to go to the gastro Dr for stomach issues. I guess I can't get a good picture of how this experience has went for others. Also, I feel I can't regulate my temperature. Hot one minute and freezing the next. Sweat dripping off my hands to my feet being so cold that they turn purple. But most of my symptoms are stomach related. Lots of nausea and intense stomach pain

Appreciate this man currently going through this right now and it does feel like your dying I’ve been chilling in my shower for the past 48 hours and have never felt worse. I’ve been a smoker for 5 years and never thought it could get to a point like this. I work at a vape shop that sells THCA and your video encouraged me to tell the customers about this and make as few people go through this as possible!!

I’ve been struggling for 2 months straight! Days on end of intense vomiting, sweats, chills, extreme abdominal pain. Have to get promethazine, morphine and ivs to get through the terrible nights. I went to the er for the 5th time last night and finally told one of the doctors that I smoke cannabis and he urged me to quit to see if it helps me. He said he sees at least one person a day with this illness. I feel so helpless and like I’ve been on my death bed for months. And I feel so in the dark, I never knew smoking could lead to something like this.. I’m excited and hopeful to quit and see the benefits both physically mentally and emotionally… but also scared because of how serious and intense this pain is, pls keep me in prayers!

Are you feeling better now?? Were you able to quit and stick to it? I hope you're feeling better now. I have recently set it all down and hoping to feel better once my body regulates. It really is a strange phenomenon... I'm about a month into quitting and do feel better but good lord I had a bad flare up of some sort about 2 weeks ago that was miserable. I never want to feel like that again, so as much as I loved zoning out stoned the chance of feeling the bad side of it isn't worth it.

The higher the thc content it seems the worse I am. I just went to a dispensary and got an ounce of granddaddy purple and an ounce of grandmommy purple very high thc content smoked for a few days. Started throwing up non stop. I went to the hospital got out the next day. Ate, smoked again and started throwing up later that same night. All red. All hot. All painful as hell. Really did feel like I was gonna die each time. I really do think I’m done with weed.

    *READ THIS*
there are forms of chs where there is no vomiting. for months, i have suffered with weird body pains, brain fog, and heightened anxiety from excessive marijuana use (shitty carts). over the summer, i started to feel a little better, then i smoked weed one night. for the ENTIRE week after that night, i felt like absolute shit. i felt like i was going to violently throw up every second, and like there is acid burning in my esophagus and i’m getting punched in the gut. it was some of the worst pain i’ve ever felt in my life, like literal hell. even though i was in front of a trash can 24/7, i never actually threw up. i wrote this off as “bad acid reflux from the smoke” and shit like that.
well, recently, i smoked weed again. this time wasn’t as bad, but all my weird shit is back: mild nausea, brain fog, body pains, etc. coffee makes me freak out all of a sudden too. i think this is because with chs, it slows down your liver and your digestive system (which is why constipation can happen) so your body has trouble metabolizing coffee too. WAIT FOR YOUR BODY TO HEAL! i was chillin and drinking coffee after my body healed but since i smoked again i have to wait again. once your body gets the thc out, then you can look into having a drink once in a while or a coffee. weed is great, and very beneficial for some people, but don’t bullshit yourself and ruin your life even when you know it isn’t for you.

Chs is absolutely brutal. I would wake up every morning at like 5:00-5:30 am sweating and for me it felt like i was always on the verge of throwing up. It would usually take up to an hour of dry heaving and feeling like i had the stomach flu before i actually threw up. Hot showers, ginger, and capsasin never worked. Its terrible. Dont put yourself through torture. A few days break is the best remedy.

@@chimchim2069at first I would take a month break then smoke almost everyday after that but since last December I've quit smoking flower all together, I still have a jar of bud from the last ounce I bought from December and I haven't smoked any bud since then. I still enjoy edibles though. 5 to 10mg is plenty for me to have a good time. This year I'll take a couple edibles every other week on my days off. I've realized that the weed I was smoking was to strong and it caused anxiety for me so I just quit smoking it. With edibles I don't have that issue, I can take 5mg of an Indica gummy and feel pretty relaxed without feeling anxiety or feeling like I'm on the edge of a panic attack. So after I quit smoking flower which wasn't really as difficult as it used to be my head became less foggy and my tolerance dropped enough for me to be able to really enjoy edibles.

I suffered with this for the last 5 years. Kept trying to quit and every time I would quit I would violently throw up. Have been spending..... So much money on weed. Not even to get high, just to keep the symptoms at bay. Last month I decided that I have to do something so I made a point to keep track of my smoking with a notepad, and slowly reduce the amount I was smoking each day. I'm not completely clean yet but I've finally got down to smoking once every couple of days (whereas before I was smoking 10-12 times a day). Have had basically no symptoms this time around. If anyone else is dealing with this I'd heavily recommend trying my method. It takes a lot of willpower but it beats puking for weeks on end.

I've been dealing with this for a year now! Violently throwing up 100 times a day.. I've never been diagnosed with CHS. So I'm praying when I see my Gi next apt they're familiar with this condition and can help diagnose me!😭 it's such a murder scene having to go through your everyday lifestyle throwing up and feeling constant fight or flight mode. And omg I only eat soup because that's all I can tolerate and I get overly FULL! Such a horrible feeling no one should ever have to go through this ,especially so young!😢

I had totally the same. From one day on the other, out of nothing I started vomiting immediately after I ate or drank. Nothing stayed inside my stomach and lost 12 kg in a weed. I quit weed after a week vomiting constantly, after 4 days it was gone. Now i smoke again for 15 years and never had any problems again and I still love my life.

I had this.... I stopped smoke 2 months ago. I would be sick daily and could never hold down food.. Crazy heartburn. Years of being sick and never seen a video on it until now. It was routine too be sick daily for me. It was a built up anxiety. I love smoking although for me now its over... Ill maybe have a smoke in. Few months later for a treat too explore the multiverse once again... I had the pain through my body everyday... I was diagnosed with fibro... Over the years sensitivity becomes overwhelming. When you First start smoking you feel your own heartbeat and like I said over the years smoking you become over sensitive... I was told the word I had too climatise too my body again... I've been a chronic smoker for the last 30 yrs. from the moment I wake up until I go to bed. Been in and out of ER 3 times in last 3 yrs. A few times prior. I always thought it was just a stomach flu/ bug. Warm compression helps, I put a pillow under my tummy and lay on it. Eventually comfort sets in, but if I move the pain returns. I quite last yr. For 2 months after my er visit. Just as you said, I felt good and rewarded myself back to smoking. Back in er 7 months later. I mainly used weed because it helps induce my appetite. I have to quit now. I couldn't even keep water down. I'm on day 5 of scromiting, still have minor pain, sipping water and eating dry pieces of corn flakes cereal slowly. One more thing, had just about every stomach test done, all negative results. It's as if there's no trace to detect it.

You just confirmed my suspicion of what’s causing my CHS. I’ve partaken for controlling my fibromyalgia for over 10 years with no problems. Back in December I purchased vape cartridges for when I travel and teach, but I loved them so much because it took away the paranoia of smelling, that I started using them more then flower. 2 weeks ago is when the CHS symptoms started, I thought IBS was just my cross I have to bear, because I had a flare up like this years ago from too much Prilosec until I stumbled across some video testimonials from people suffering from CHS on TikTok. Makes total sense too, because I had been on Prilosec for so long it caused my body to stop making its own digestive juices, and that’s the same exact thing that CHS is doing. Stay away from using vape cartridges daily! If I can use again after this, I will only vape in extreme circumstances, like the time I was teaching across state and staying at someone’s house and couldn’t sleep the whole night and woke up delirious and sobbing before my class, those kind of extreme circumstances.

Yeah same for me, all 5 of my CHS bouts were triggered by hammering the liquor in the days leading up to it... talking 1L of Rum per day plus more... I could sense it was about to start since I was getting horrible morning nausea and threw up every morning for a week before the CHS finally set in and dehabilitated me again... ER Doc said to stop smoking or try infusing in tea or food in lower amounts so may try that and leaving liquor out of the equation for a long time.

I’m a week sober tomorrow after 12-13 years of daily cannabis use, I never quite got to the projectile vomiting stage (unless I had alcohol) but I’ve been in and out of the doctors and even hospitals over the last 3 years with horrible pains all around my midsection, weight loss, breathing trouble and most worrying and prominent for me, constipation / diarreah. I feel constantly bloated, full of gas/fluid in my belly (mostly the left side) and literally can’t remember the last time I went to the toilet and felt genuinely empty. I know it’s a disgusting subject but I just cannot seem to fully empty my bowels or have any sort of healthy bowel movements. Does this take time to recover from or is this permanent damage? As I said I’m a week off cannabis but bowel movements are still a huge problem and causing me sever discomfort through the day as they have done over the last 2-3 years while smoking. Any help would be massively appreciated!

Hey there, as someone who struggled with similar issues (IBS, abdominal pain, constipation / diarrhea etc..) with no real solutions after YEARS of dealing with it (I tried to change my diet, Low FODMAP diet.. avoiding foods that ferment in your stomach.. then I tried a prescription of Dicyclomine recently which kinda helped a little..) but the main thing that is now where I'm at with it is after what they call a Stool Elastase test!! You have to give them a stool sample but it turns out that my pancreas has exocrine pancreatic insufficiency (EPI) but basically the pancreas isn't generating enough enzymes when I eat, so causes horrible indigestion (ie having to go to the bathroom immediately after a greasy meal..) or feeling bloated / constipated, etc..
But I really recommend you do one of those tests (stool elastase) If your result comes back low (or in my case- severely low..) it may be the main culprit for the symptoms. BUT the start of CHS type symptoms (and just smoking trees causing more anxiety / shaky gut etc..) may be contributing to it ...
The unfortunate thing is the prescription is very expensive without health insurance (in the States..) and even with some killer health insurance I am paying 60$ for a month prescription.
I hope this was somewhat helpful. I know it can be hellish and become depressing having to deal with those type of things (not able to plan going out socially or worrying you may have an 'episode' etc.. ) but both the Dicyclomine (Bentyl) and the Creon (EPI prescription) seemed to help in their own ways. I hope this gives you a better idea in mind of what to look into.

Now i’m 28, had a recent diagnosis of ADHD + I smoke cannabis daily (a lot) and knowing now about CHS makes me wonder if it was this all along.. because I still smoke a lot on a daily basis and every now and then I have a flare up day ://

Im not necessarily going through this but..
I first tried cannabis when I was 15. Took one puff here and there every few months. It was never a daily thing. Started smoking in weekends with friends when I was 17-18. Quarantine rolled around when I was 19 and I had nowhere else to smoke but in my backyard. I’d do that once a day. Then I realized how easy it was for me to sneak out and smoke and I started doing it a lot more and a lot more freely. I’ve slowly started smoking more after that. I noticed that when I started smoking more, I lost a lot of weight, and started losing a lot of hair. I developed an eating disorder and thankfully I’ve been able to fight it. But it’s so hard for me to gain weight. I weighed 120 when I started, dropped to 90 pounds within one month (October 2019) im 24 now and I still haven’t been able to gain that weight back. I’ve struggled to make it to 104 pounds. I smoke every day. Haven’t taken a tolerance break in over a year now besides like day breaks

The more you have to come back the more money they make (for-profit healthcare) so there really no incentive to find out what wrong with someone... just treating the symptoms is normally what's done... here's a pill, hope it help you... bye bye. I even have to use a space heater sometimes when I run out of hot water. I really do think I’ll die from this….no one can understand why I keep smoking, but after 4 plus weeks of being sober and still feeling miserable, I give in and smoke a little, it’ll mask the symptoms for days, weeks or months sometimes but I always fall back into sickness. I wonder if this is what was kind of my problem. I never really got nauseous or vomit, but I have such bad congestion and I would wake up every morning in so much pain as if I’m 50 years old already

I wasn't throwing up either but had nausea waking up with body aches and pains. And also dizziness and sometimes felt like I was literally going to die. I feel better after only one day of quitting smoking after 37 years not easy

I've been suffering for this for awhile. I just recently stop smoking. But if you do have to go to the ER ask for Haldol and Benadryl it's not a long term fix but it does relieve the pain and sickness for a day or two.

I smoked 70% carts at the start of this year for only two months and have been in hell the past week. I think i got out fast enough but i resonate with some of this. Lucky i can keep water down and small amounts of food so i might have really bad withdrawal and not this.
I have never been so motivated in my life to never do any drugs ever again.
Scary to see if i had ignored my body and kept going for the rest of the year it could of ended up life threatening for me.
I hope i start feeling better in another 7-14 days this first week has been hell. I'm really focused on staying hydrated.

I couldn’t stop smoking. luckily I was joining the US Army which forced me to be in a place away from weed. I was in training for 6 months, my mind, body, everything was clear. After a few years I got out and then started again. It’s been 3 years and Im deciding to stop again. Let’s see what happens

I’ve dealt B with it for more than 15 years. Even got my gallbladder removed. That didn’t fix the problem either. Still facing gastric issues for this. Quitting seems to be the only option.

I felt like I was dying the last time I smoked, the pain was unbearable. I was so dizzy I couldn’t stand up I couldnt stop puking, the pain was just as bad as when I had labor pain. I was in unbearable pain for hours. That was from only two puffs. I was sick for two weeks could hardly get out of bed, my body was aching. I haven’t been diagnosed by a doctor with CHS but I very much belive that’s what caused this I’ll never smoke again to find out for sure either.

23 years old here me and my friend were also in denial of thc being his problems he went to hospital and doctor many times they couldn’t tell him what it was other than they “think” it’s thc which it was. They sent him to a gastroligist and he would take several hot showers a day. I did not suffer from these things like he did I only suffered from the mental health part. But he thought he was dying always having abdominal pain. He also was given a bunch of anxiety and nasseusa medication he didn’t actually need. Now we are both clean from the

That is typically a symptom of the first phase of CHS which can last for months or years. It could also be a symptom of something else that you are self-medicating for it. Always best to check with the doctor. You can also take a three month tolerance break and see if it clears up

Some days, I take a break from smoking. On those days, if I eat something that is overly greasy (bacon is a culprit), I'll get the CHS symptoms. It makes me think that I have something else, but every single professional labels it CHS, even when no consuming has taken place.

I'm a severe addict to everything. Weed helped me stay away from everything that i recently got better from. But now I'm really ill. I don't know if i have stomach problems or this. It is so confusing. I started using pot around the same time i got better from withdrawing from opiotes so the sickness just all blurred together. The sad thing is, i took every addiction i had to the brink of death. I feel like I'm going to die. I guess i need to stop using pot or die. I feel like I'm starving because my body is rejecting everything. I can't even drink water. I gave myself a hernia from the vomitting. The real question is, is it this or is it stomach issues? How do i get out of this?? Thank you for this video. A lot of people don't believe this condition is real.

I used to smoke but stopped because of the way it made me feel and cough like hell. I will never smoke anymore because I really feel that it has chemicals in it and is not natural at all .

I suffered from this lost 28 pounds didn’t eat for 14 days. It was the worst pain ever only thing that made it better was indeed hot showers. Unfortunately after two months i relapsed and started smoking again. I decided to quit 4 days ago luckily i haven’t had any crazy side effects besides not eating and headaches. What i did different this time was add NAC supplements this magical pill has made me stable.

I am 99% have this. The hot showers not a thing for me. But I had 5 of these episodes in last 2 years. The good thing is, I'm not addicted. I truly haven't enjoyed pot since 2015 when Sour Diesel went extinct

I consume cannabis daily. Sometimes all day long. As of lately, I’ve been starting to feel dizzy and sick. Hot showers helps alleviate the sick feeling. High level cannabis/hemp 19-25% I believe the higher the more prone we are to CHS. I am to the point where I don’t want to use anymore because what’s happening! Kidneys feel like they’re struggling. Liver levels are also whacked. I am assuming all this is happening because over consumption..
