THIS is the kind if film Hollywood needs to be producing. There was more entertainment in this 8 minutes than a years worth of full length releases from the major studios.
A 7 minute short that felt like 3 minutes of insane stylistic dedication, masterful editing and pure fun. If only Hollywood had half as much passion for art like this… Made me feel like a kid watching samurai movies and 80’s action flicks all over again.

After many years of watching Zatoichi films and the show. I'm stumped that this is only a short instead of a full film. I would pay mad money to see a full movie of ZVP. Brings me back to the days of watching crazy but awesome Japanese flicks of the bygone era.
absolutely, and I haven't even watched the zatoichi movies. I just absolutely loved the reveal and how it was done. This was a pleasant mish-mash of characters from different stories.

This has to be the best concept for predator movie next to the original. how has this not been crowdfunded and not turned into a movie yet. This short film was just utterly amazing. And whoever did the score for this hit it spot on. Excellent job.

Anyone who is a fan of swordplay who doesn’t know the zatoichi blind swordsman series of movies I suggest you take a look because the work is really amazing. I still remember my first zatoichi movie as a child and how amazing it was.

Waking up sleepy eyed from a previous late night I opened TH-cam & this was recommended to me?. Begin watching with eyes & mouth wide open, glued to the screen.... saying to myself "WTF .. WOW ... WTF .... OH COOL ..... WTF ...... This is absolutely AMAZING". I instantly wanted MORE!!! (One & only time TH-cam's recommendations actually worked)
As absurdist as this is, it absolutely nails the atmosphere of Z1, gives some nods to the movies like the rice-cake scene and had some nice lore touches for predator. Love it.

The premise is a fresh take on a outdated story that we've all seen before, the predator hunts down his quarry with the latest hi tech gizmos and gadgets. This re- imagining would allow for more balanced action/combat sequences between two warriors skilled in their own distinctive combat styles. Fans of chanbara ( Japanese films dedicated to historical sword play ) and sci-fi both would benefit from having this production hitting the theatres. Bums back on seats, cash flowing through the tills, what's not to like. That being said I do take your point on the samey samey way in which these type of films playout.

How many times can the " good guys " blow up a planet sized threat = death star, twice in the original trilogy , command ship in the phantom menace, somehow they beat the odds time after time, and we love them for it. Star killer base in the last lot of the saga.. The same film over and over, and we watch over and over again.

ハリウッドが前世紀以前を舞台にプレデターのスピンオフを作るとなったら、おそらく自国の歴史を踏まえて西部劇ものや南北戦争ものになってしまうでしょう。それはそれで良い。素晴らしいものが出来上がるでしょう。

Waking up sleepy eyed from a previous late night I opened TH-cam & this was recommended to me?. Begin watching with eyes & mouth wide open, glued to the screen.... saying to myself
"WTF .. WOW ... WTF .... OH COOL ..... WTF ...... This is absolutely AMAZING". I instantly wanted MORE!!! (One & only time TH-cam's recommendations actually worked)
As absurdist as this is, it absolutely nails the atmosphere of Z1, gives some nods to the movies like the rice-cake scene and had some nice lore touches for predator. Love it.

Nope....we have plenty of bad Chinese films already....and they are ALL the same. I fight...i get beat...i train...i come back an beat the bad guy...end of film.
@@2laughandlaugh : firstly the film in question is Japanese, not Chinese. The premise is a fresh take on a outdated story that we've all seen before, the predator hunts down his quarry with the latest hi tech gizmos and gadgets. This re- imagining would allow for more balanced action/combat sequences between two warriors skilled in their own distinctive combat styles. Fans of chanbara ( Japanese films dedicated to historical sword play ) and sci-fi both would benefit from having this production hitting the theatres.
Bums back on seats, cash flowing through the tills, what's not to like.
That being said I do take your point on the samey samey way in which these type of films playout.
@@unkleenkil2764 don't get me wrong...i love Chinese films....been watching them since I found " Kung Fu Theater" in the early 80s....just always thought it was funny how they all basically follow the same formula.
@@2laughandlaugh : winning formula's always work, take star wars for example. How many times can the " good guys " blow up a planet sized threat = death star, twice in the original trilogy , command ship in the phantom menace, somehow they beat the odds time after time, and we love them for it. Star killer base in the last lot of the saga.. The same film over and over, and we watch over and over again.
