I agree with Jacques, it’s because of the make up. Japanese idol make up is more natural. They dont use much eyeshadow, fake eyelashes, or heavy base makeup. Young japanese idols in their teens age usually wear even less makeup. Korean idol make up is actually a little too heavy for young teens. Even korean idols as young as 13-15 yrs old wear a lot of makeup nowadays.
