Must be nice to have so many pokestops. Makes the Nearby tracker actually relevant. Without Sightings, there's really no incentive for me to go randomly looking for pokemon, even for Dittos.
Agreed. They should've kept the nearby system as well -- made it a combination of the nearby tracker and nearby sightings, because just having the nearby tracker doesn't work for rural players.

I've decided to make a high IV Zubat my buddy, just in case Crobat comes along on the seventh. His name is Alucard and he's got like 176 candies atm due to all the Zubats I've been catching, but I'm not making him my buddy for the candies, it's more 'cause I wanna replicate how Zubat becomes Crobat--through max happiness and friendship with its trainer :3

Another question for Nick - why do you use a lucky egg before you get a new Pokemon, but don't use a lucky egg before a 7 day streak? That's roughly 10,000xp right there with the lucky egg.

I caught a Ditto today and a Kabuto. The Ditto was disguised as a Pidgey. The Kabuto was at one of my local parks which was at a park that used to be an Onix nest in the first or second migration but hadn't been updated on Sliph Road until today on the eighth migration.

Can Ditto hatch from an egg?
They changed Eevee to a 5km egg (from 10km egg), so I was reading speculation out there that Ditto replaced Eevee's 10km spot.
Well if you place Ditto as a buddy, you will receive a candy for every 3km walked. If ever it can be hatched from an egg, it'll probably be from a 5km egg.
Quinn Reynolds The thing is though, is that this game is already breaking rules. Hitmonchan and Hitmonlee hatch from eggs. Pikachu, Jynx, Clefairy, and Jigglypuff hatch from eggs.
If the game is breaking rules for those Pokemon, why would Ditto not hatch from an egg too?
Puggalug: Gen 2 isn't out in this game so it makes sense.
Puggalug the reason you get all those pokemon from eggs still makes sense to someone who plays the core games. Pichu, cleffa, igglybuff, Smoochum, and Tyrogue are all baby pokemon, which unless you somehow manage to find them in the wild or a safari zone can only be obtained in the core games after their debut through breeding their original forms while they carry some kind of specific hold item, usually some form of incense. Unless they've changed it for gen 5-7 thats the only way I know of to get the baby forms. Without those hold items you would get those original forms. The exception may be Tyrogue when they add it to Pokemon GO, as Tyrogue has a branch evolution into all three Hitmons (Hitmonchan, Hitmonlee, and Hitmontop) depending on calculated stats in the core games.

My 552 CP Ditto transform into much stronger pokémon. For example, my Ditto vs 2200 CP Dragonite. My Ditto transforms into 2900 CP Dragonite.

7:40 because ditto's HP stays the same after transformation, i don't think it will be used that much. But, know you know what charge move the lapras has, so ditto can be used to see the opponent's charge move (so you know what pokemon to use against it based on its moves)
*Humble brag* But WOW am I pumped. I just caught a Ditto with 447 CP, 3000 stardust to power-up, and 97.8% perfect IVs!! 14/15/15. How useful will this be in battle if I power it up?

Congrats on finally getting Ditto! (too bad about it's cp though) I got mine about 4 days go, it was a Rattata (was about to dismiss it too, thought it was just any old ordinary Rattata, - so glad I bothered to catch it!)
There are still some accurate trackers. I don't know what the deal is with that one.

If you bring baby powder on your beach trips you can use it to remove sand, especially from your skin. Dry off as much as you can and then apply the baby powder and brush it all off; the powder absorbs moisture and coats the sand grains so they all slide off. Just get a travel size bottle of baby powder and leave it in your car, your beach trips will be so much easier! Thanks for all your awesome videos, I'm looking forward to visiting the Santa Monica pier in a few weeks.

Yeah because he said its transformed CP is based on Ditto's level/HP/IVs and the opponents attack/defense stats. So if you power up your Ditto, you increase its level, which will result in a higher transformed CP.

The Pokemon will attack straight away and it will continuity do that.It should also escape 1 time.It does not matter about the cp

I really wanted to get a Pixel XL but Verizon never had any and I had to get a replacement for my Note 7. So I got the v20, can't say I'm disappointed, but the Pixel was my first choice.
Got myself a Pixel XL. Moved from Windows Phone. Really great phone. Almost bought an iPhone 7 Plus but so glad i didn't. iPhones are good but Pixel XL is perfect for me.

Hey Nick, can you use your influence to get Niantic to introduce gym bonuses (such as defense or prestige boosts) for theme Gyms? For example, monotype or little cup pokemon only, that sort of thing. I think it would help improve the variety.
but ditto is more of an exotic pokemon, for looks and filler for the pokedex, i dont see ditto as a viable battler

If you have a maxed out ditto you should be able to beat anything with it except possibly a chansey or something else with crazy high HP.
actually it sounds like its fairly broken cause a Ditto whit perfect IV,s and maxed out CP can beat any dragonite or snorlax that anyone places at a Gym if the pokemon has the best moves AND it will stay as that pokemon during the remainder of the battle!!! if anyone puts a lapras and a dragonite in the same gym then the dragonite will be fucked if you have a ditto

I have a maxxed out level 30 Ditto and it's very effective, especially against normal type pokemon. When it transforms, it (so far) has always had a higher CP.
Problem with Ditto is that it doesnt copy Health so you should try and get a high IV health ditto with as much health as possible in cp.
that's when you know Nick's excited with the game, look at his face,reaction and the sound of his face when he caught that ditto compared to his usual self. Great video tho
congrats on the upgrade to the pixel. i upgrades from the lg g3 to the lg g5 and gameplay is so much better.

when you are working with the pokemon map, consider that timing isn't accurate. Thats means that the machamp appeared in the map when the map scaned his. The sec the map scan a pokemon, it gives it 15min, and yes, it can scan a pokemon who actually has 4min left and it still gonna say 15min. The machamp was there, but you were too late...
