    I just loved this sermon. It added a global comprehensiveness to all the themes that I've been studying for years. No joke, I'll be sharing it with whomever is beginning to study Scriptures before any other study. I'll also share it with everybody I know, especially with my long-standing SDA friends. I wonder how God brings such truths so late in time when little more truth is expected. Thank you Jesus!

    Mind of God. That is to be a king. Honored by God. To realize that surely. Faith not just hope but hope already received, given and portrayed. That is to be a king. Jesus is more. Son of man and God, Servant, teacher, doctoral legislator( priest),- only one. The way, the truth and the life. Never did he self proclaim. God is the beginning and the end.

    Because I seldom watch a video that’s more than twenty minutes long, I was tempted to comment on the title without watching the video. This being the sabbath day, however, I did have time to watch a forty minutes video in the hope that the title was merely click bait. Because the majority of professed Christians think the purpose of the second coming of Jesus is to set up a political kingdom, I can see why some pastors might think it is appropriate to say that the kingdom of Jesus is a political kingdom - just a different kind of political kingdom.
    On the other hand, no matter how a pastor might try to introduce a definition of the word “political” different from what is in common use, the current common usage should be taken into account so as to avoid giving a wrong impression. The common understanding of the word “politics” (at least in the United States) is “pertaining to civil government” (as distinct from theocracy or distinct from the organization of a business).
    Most of the civil governments in the history of our world have been monarchies (or governments that operated as monarchies). In the case of such governments, “politics” would refer to either how a particular monarchy functions (or did function) or any internal struggles among people who aspire to acquire more influence or power than they already have within the monarchy.
    That usage of the word “politics” can apply to similar struggles within a constitutional republic but, in this case, “politics” also applies to the process of informing or influencing citizens whose most direct participation in civil government is to vote.
    I agree that the kingdom of Jesus (both the kingdom of grace and the kingdom of glory) is a monarchy BUT I object to the use of the word “politics” in this context because the kingdom of grace shouldn’t have and the kingdom of glory won’t have internal struggles for power or influence and because the citizens of the kingdom of glory won’t vote with regard to either the form of government or with regard to who will hold which positions in the government.
    It would be difficult for me to overstate my sadness to realize that money I have contributed to educating seminarians has been squandered to such an extent that some graduates are inclined to preach a political gospel. And I suppose my sadness would not be significantly less if the political gospel being preached were closer to my personal concept of what the ideal role of current civil governments should be.
    I know there are many people who are attracted to pastors who preach a political gospel (conservative or progressive) but I also think one of the major factors that has contributed to the decline of religious organizations in the United States has been the trend for pastors on both sides of the political divide to try to integrate political issues into their preaching.
    I don’t know whether I’ll cry myself to sleep tonight but it’s a distinct possibility.

    Also note..
    GOD discriminates.
    Good from Evil.
    Truth from lies.
    The lawful and faithful from the unlawful and unfaithful.
    HIS people (Israel) from everyone else. We are to join (be grafted into) HIS people, Israel. ROMANS 11.
    We are to align with what God loves and hate what God Hates.
    We are to choose to obey His system of government and its rulings and statutes
    To obey is to choose life and blessings.
    To disobey is to choose death and curses.

    MATHEW 5 - 6
    this is a sanctuary question and never was when JESUS was on earth because JUSTICE is being conducted in HEAVEN . NOW
    biggest issue I find with the SDA now
    is we are so focused on JESUS during his period on earth yet not on that he is in heaven ministering and judgement
    we think we will establish some social justice on this earth
    the only JUSTICE this earth will ever see is when GOD says IT IS FINISHED

      Simon I thought we are working in partnership with Jesus, right here, right now. Isn’t our relationship with Him based on His presence with us here as well as in heaven? Didn’t Jesus say, “It is finished.” On the cross? Just wondering how that fits together..

      It was impossible for the plagues to be poured out while Jesus officiated in the sanctuary; but as His work there is finished, and His intercession closes, there is nothing to stay the wrath of God, and it breaks with fury upon the shelterless head of the guilty sinner, who has slighted salvation and hated reproof. In that fearful time, after the close of Jesus' mediation, the saints were living in the sight of a holy God without an intercessor. EW 280.2

    Call him what you will,Jesus spoke up and supported God's Kingdom and Gods coming Kingdom only.He never took part in the politics of his time and even taught his disciples and apostles to stay separate and neutral of such things.In fact, Jesus was so opposed to becoming involved in the politics of his time,That when the people rose up to make him king he withdrew from the city. Also when the religious leaders blamed him for trying to seize power,He said iam no part of this world. matterfact one of the things satan tempted jesus with was to rule the world and all the kingdoms..but jesus rejected such an offer. Jesus was never interested in becoming a part of this worlds political system for he was already granted Kingship of Gods heavenly government which will soon remove the governments of this world in which his true followers will then finally live in true peace and security.

      In 2016, my wife and I moved to a state (U.S.) where we had never lived before. Since then I have attended the worship services of at least a dozen different congregations looking for places where I might invite people to attend services.
      Most of those congregations’ services included things I considered to be worthwhile. Music (especially music that encourages the singing of harmony), scripture reading, sermons that have been informative or inspirational or both.
      On the other hand, many of those congregations’ services have included things of such a nature as to discourage me from suggesting that anyone else attend. Number 1 on the list is pastors weaving their political philosophy - conservative or progressive - into their sermons. Other things that discourage me are attempts to manipulate people into making “professions of faith” (I usually get up and walk out), written “prayers of confession” that people are encouraged to read aloud (even if they are not guilty of the sins being “confessed”), creedalism, dogmatism, commentary by pastors on specific Bible passages without those passages being read in their entirety before the comments are offered, music that is selected more for its entertainment value than as worship.
      One time a couple of years ago, when our daughter was invited to sing for a church service, she invited me to sing with her. Over the last few years, I’ve been invited to sing or play my violin a few times and a couple of those times, I asked our daughter to accompany me on her guitar. With those exceptions, however, I still haven’t found a congregation whose services were of such a nature that I’m inclined to encourage anyone to attend.
      I attended services with my parents regularly from 1944 to 1952, by which time I had learned enough about the history and politics of the United States to think of my parents as patriots so I assumed they were accustomed to voting but I still didn’t have any idea which politicians or which political party they favored AND (PLEASE NOTE) I didn’t have any idea whether their pastor favored one political party over another. That continued to be true in the two other towns where we lived between then and 1960.
      So..... If anyone has any suggestions about how to find congregations whose services I’d be inclined to invite other people to attend, please let me hear from you. Do you know what the political leanings of your own pastor are? If so, is it because he brings his political preferences into the pulpit with him? If so, have you tried to discourage him from doing that? If so, have you been even partially successful?

    This is incorrect. Jesus is not a politician. He was never trying to establish influence in government. He was influencing our own individual hearts towards each other. If He was a politician He would have let the people make Him an earthly king as they tried to. But He refused. He cannot be a politician and want His teaching in worldly government because that would require everyone to be FORCED TO give and love eachother. This is not only contrary to His character but this can only be done through our FREEWILL. Frankly this is heresy.

      You did not just misunderstand Ty, you misunderstood the very motive of how we fell.. Rev 12vs7 tells us how a "polimia" broke out in heaven. Trace this back to Isaiah 14:12-17 and as far back as Gen 3. Jesus's way of doing politics transcends world's way of politicking.

      wasn't jesus killed by his own ?
      in the judgment hall of Pilate, the Roman governor, Christ stands bound as a prisoner. About Him are the guard of soldiers, and the hall is fast filling with spectators. Just outside the entrance are the judges of the Sanhedrin, priests, rulers, elders, and the mob. {DA 723.1}
      After condemning Jesus, the council of the Sanhedrin had come to Pilate to have the sentence confirmed and executed. But these Jewish officials would not enter the Roman judgment hall. According to their ceremonial law they would be defiled thereby, and thus prevented from taking part in the feast of the Passover. In their blindness they did not see that murderous hatred had defiled their hearts. They did not see that Christ was the real Passover lamb, and that, since they had rejected Him, the great feast had for them lost its significance. {DA 723.2}
      When the Saviour was brought into the judgment hall, Pilate looked upon Him with no friendly eyes. The Roman governor had been called from his bedchamber in haste, and he determined to do his work as quickly as possible. He was prepared to deal with the prisoner with magisterial severity. Assuming his severest expression, he turned to see what kind of man he had to examine, that he had been called from his repose at so early an hour. He knew that it must be someone whom the Jewish authorities were anxious to have tried and punished with haste. {DA 723.3}
      Pilate looked at the men who had Jesus in charge, and then his gaze rested searchingly on Jesus. He had had to deal with all kinds of criminals; but never before had a man bearing marks of such goodness and nobility been brought before him. On His face he saw no sign of guilt, no expression of fear, no boldness or defiance. He saw a man of calm and dignified bearing, whose countenance bore not the marks of a criminal, but the signature of heaven. {DA 724.1}
      Christ’s appearance made a favorable impression upon Pilate. His better nature was roused. He had heard of Jesus and His works. His wife had told him something of the wonderful deeds performed by the Galilean prophet, who cured the sick and raised the dead. Now this revived as a dream in Pilate’s mind. He recalled rumors that he had heard from several sources. He resolved to demand of the Jews their charges against the prisoner. {DA 724.2}
      Who is this Man, and wherefore have ye brought Him? he said. What accusation bring ye against Him? The Jews were disconcerted. Knowing that they could not substantiate their charges against Christ, they did not desire a public examination. They answered that He was a deceiver called Jesus of Nazareth. {DA 724.3}
      Again Pilate asked, “What accusation bring ye against this Man?” The priests did not answer his question, but in words that showed their irritation, they said, “If He were not a malefactor, we would not have delivered Him up unto thee.” When those composing the Sanhedrin, the first men of the nation, bring to you a man they deem worthy of death, is there need to ask for an accusation against him? They hoped to impress Pilate with a sense of their importance, and thus lead him to accede to their request without going through many preliminaries. They were eager to have their sentence ratified; for they knew that the people who had witnessed Christ’s marvelous works could tell a story very different from the fabrication they themselves were now rehearsing. {DA 724.4}
      The priests thought that with the weak and vacillating Pilate they could carry through their plans without trouble. Before this he had signed the death warrant hastily, condemning to death men they knew were not worthy of death. In his estimation the life of a prisoner was of little account; whether he were innocent or guilty was of no special consequence. The priests hoped that Pilate would now inflict the death penalty on Jesus without giving Him a hearing. This they besought as a favor on the occasion of their great national festival.

      th-cam.com/video/v3VW576FxOo/w-d-xo.html
      Like now who reports and lies to Caesar ?
      To change laws and the bible . Politics ?
      No . There has to be a ground level work and mental shift to change mindset. MEDIA
      in a simple church board politics can enter in when leaders don't stand on the bible truth and just stop it as shepherds
      then a church goes down a dangerous path
      politics and truth should never mix
