Many of these patches were created in direct correlation with some of my favorite hardware synths: the OB-Xa, the Prophet 5, the OB-6, Prophet 6, the Minimoog, Nord Stage 3, and others. Though I track with these analog synths all the time in my studio, many times I need to be able to keep everything “in the box”-so I’ve recreated a lot of my favorite and most used patches from these synths for Omnisphere. What you are getting with these 70 presets are my most “used” sounds in the studio. Whether I’m working on an album of mine, a track for an artist I’m working with, or some sort of TV/film thing I’m scoring-these are my go-to sounds.
All FX (chorus, reverbs, delays, etc.) are coming from within the patches themselves i.e. there's no other external processing on this demo save for some slight light leveling/compression for the purpose of uploading to TH-cam.
I also have patches available for the Prophet Rev 2, Prophet 6, OB-6, Prophet 5/10, Softube Model 84, Model 72, Arturia OB-Xa, Arturia Stage-73 and a free bank of 50 sounds for the free VST synth “OB-Xd” - all available on my website. About the sound designer: Julian “J3PO” Pollack is a Los Angeles-based pianist/keyboardist and producer described by Timeout New York as a musician who “deftly balances virtuosity with tenderness.” Julian is known for his innovative use of keyboards and synthesizers in jazz, fusion, hip-hop, and electronic styles of music. Julian has toured extensively with the legendary artist Marcus Miller, as well as performing with artists such as Talib Kweli, David Sanborn, Michael League, Eric Harland, and others. Julian has worked closely as a sound designer with keyboard/synth companies Nord Keyboards, Sequential, and Oberheim, and has created factory presets for the Prophet 5, the Oberheim OB-X8, Take 5, Nord Stage 3, and Nord Wave 2. In addition to these hardware keyboard companies, Julian also has done sound design for Universal Audio (most recently, Opal, a new wavetable synthesizer), Softube, and Cherry Audio.

Amazing patches. They are a joy to play and immediately give you musical ideas, the essence of a great synth patch library. Over the years, I´ve collected over 60 patch libraries for Omnisphere and these soar several levels above the very most of the other patch libraries around. J3PO, please make more patches for Omnisphere!

I just bought this, and finished going through all the patches so I wanted to give a quick review. In the included Omnisphere presets, I only find maybe 1 in 10 musically usable. But in this pack, I was surprised to find 90% completely and totally usable. I think the trick is that these are simple and musically useful sounds, not overly specific or hyped. I can take any of these base patches, and tweak them a half dozen different directions for different use cases. Very tastefully done sir!

Nice sounds. Just wondering if those grand piano and EP sounds are sampled from the Nord Stage 3 and if so, what does Nord keyboards think about that.

So those patches are not containing new samples, only using omnisphere stock samples?

Man software sounds tired compared to hardware. Not even close. It's like as if it's a headroom thing. Software sounds small.
Ones not better than, they are different. Take some of those modified piano patches just not possible on the analog stuff.
Funny. I was just thinking the opposite. Omnisphere can easily replace most of my hardware synths. It’s just not as fun to use.
