Hope this info helpful. Nice review as well. Animated HD passengers were behind and we did not want to release around the MS2024 release date so these are coming in an update soon. We are planning a 2024 new feature walk around as soon as the SDK is available for 2024. Talking about cost we do not charge $50 USD as we find the random failures is just not cost effective. So the savings is passed to you. So your paying for a 2020 and a 2024 version with new features the sim offers. Not sure if other devs are going to charge you again for a 2024 product with new features.
Thanks for watching and for this comment! Agreed, that is why I like your stuff. As much as I like the A2A, I find the failures to be over-modeled. I think devs (all, not just A2A) do that to make the failures happen at a rate where you might have one, since in real world a well maintained plane will go thousands of hours and never have a critical failure -- Obviously that wouldn't be much interest in a sim.
Yeah, I like them a lot too. The only thing that is a little bit of a pain is that since he uses so much custom code, if you're in AAO or Spad.next, etc.. setting up hardware for the FSW planes is always a bit of a chore, but once I have my AAO profiles built, its all good from there!
Very helpful review. I feel this plane came a bit late for me. 18 months ago I would buy it on day one. Now, as I have the hangar stuffed with GA (Cessnas, Pipers, Beech-es, Wilga, Jabiru, and ultralights) and historic planes (Stearman, Cub, Tiger Moth etc.) I simply do not see the purpose of adding it to my personal inventory. But this is just me. Sierra is rumoured to be overpriced. To my surprise, it is not that costly. As the reviewer said, it is mid-range when it comes to GA add-ons alone, while compared with airliners the price is right. Sierra may be a hit in 2024 though, as one of the first third-party planes.
The problem with the general population's opinion about pricing and realism is that we have no idea who they are. So for instance when you say "Is rumored to be over-priced" if we don't know who that thought comes from its hard to guess what they mean. Some folks think GA add-ons are over priced at $15. I think $50 for the A2A Comanche was a very bold asking price, but its a good plane and I don't regret that. I don't think I would go any higher than that tho. Thank you for agreeing that $34 on the C24R is reasonable. I think many people under-estimate the hours that devs put into these projects, and over-estimate the sales/profit. Its a bit niche. And people deserve to be paid for their work.
@@kurtvwSims The price all depends on how much you would use the plane. Take Sierra. After 34 hours it is only a dollar per hour. 68 hours and that's half a dollar per hour. And so on. If you would pay 50 for A2A and then after loading it once, drop it, it would be very costly. I personally already have over 200 hours in it so the price is reasonable.
@@gliderfan6196 You think about this much the same as I do. I look at most entertainment purchases the same way. For instance, how much do we spend if we go out to a movie, not just the ticket, the gas, all of the over priced junk food, possibly dinner, etc? And we get only 3 hours of entertainment for that. So when people suggest that a $35 add-on is too much, I get a little confused. Its not that its too much, its that everyone has different priorities. For instance, I fly jets so rarely, the only payware airliner I have is the PMDG 737-700. I very rarely fly it. But on the occasion that I do, I enjoy its complexity. Has it justified it's price for me? Yeah, but only barely. Meanwhile I spent so much time in the SWS Kodiak, and the BlackSquare Bonanza that they are at pennies per dollar now. And I will probably ride the C24R about the same. So in my economy, its totally fair.
I have recently bought an Xbox series x and want to purchase Mfs. My question is, can I download or buy Mfs 24 or even 20 without having to pay a monthly subscription for a game pass ?
I don't know much about XBOX, so hopefully someone else can comment, but for PC, I know you can just buy the game from the Xbox store, so I assume its the same for you. 2024 will not be a free update to 2020 tho, so if you're thinking of buying, you might just want to wait and buy 2024... BUT - Make sure you read around, there are some vast differences between the XBOX systems and how they will present MSFS. I have seen some hints from MSFS on their website that 2024 will have some limitations on XBOX due to performance considerations of that platform. Make sure you know what you're getting before you buy in, OR take a short term subscription to game pass and check it on your system before you buy, that way you're not committed to the full price.
Looking at the page for MSFS it says, "Xbox: Online console multiplayer/co-op requires Game Pass Ultimate, Standard, or Core". So the game itself should work, but you'd lose out on the multiplayer aspect.
You can be certain that I'll never shill. I'm not a young hungry guy looking for money, I'm an old jaded grumpy dude like Jasper on "The Simpsons". If someone offers me an evaluation, or some other freebie, I'll only accept it on the grounds that my review will be MY review and not a promotion, and I'll mention that in the video also, so you know what page we are on. But, not too many people are seeking out channels as small as mine for that kind of work. Thanks for watching!

I am kind of tourist flyer and this has the right feel to it. I owned the fixed gear version in real life and enjoyed it. Your assessment is spot on.
Thanks for stopping by, Glad you enjoyed it!
What a beatiful plane and a developer that make real life livery and not stupid customizable ones that are always horrible to see. Well done.
It is a nice selection of liveries... I agree.
Not a fan of single engine small GA aircraft, but Im definitely a fan of flysimware.

Appreciate the shill disclaimer at the start.😂 Sadly you really can't trust most reviews from msfs creators.
