  • Hey all ! We're getting down with the explanations on how we set up out budget system and got all our accounts hooked up!
Please let me know if have any questions!
Thank you as always for tuning in :)
~~A bit about us and our budget ~~
Currently we are a family of 5! My husband - Dustin, our infant baby - bean, our 5 year old german shepherd - Nala, our 4 year old golden - Simba, and me. We are completely cashless budgeters (of course with the exception of 'cash only' scenarios) - the reason why is because not only do we find it hard to remember to carry cash, but we also use the opportunity of using credit cards to build our credit and to accumulate 2% cash back on everything, even on bills if no fees allows. I hope that you enjoy our journey, and come along for the ride :D

I started watching you because I didn't see many cashless budgeters. I was eventually inspired to try your month ahead method. I borrowed money from my savings account to set up my May budget and am setting aside money from this month's checks for June. So far, I'm loving it. I'm paid biweekly, so I do still biweekly budget my savings and my variable expense, but having the funds ready to go for my monthly bills has taken a lot of the pressure off that I felt trying to budget by paycheck.

Woooo! That’s exciting to hear!! 😍😍
I’m glad it’s working out so far! Hopefully it does justice for you as it did for us - once we got ahead by a month it just made it so much easier for calculations for us 💙 ahh I don’t think we’ll ever go back 😆

After I reviewed my regular monthly payments we both, my husband and I deposit each month on the first to pay for our household expenses in a joint account and use a credit card to pay for those charges and get the rewards

Hi nice breakdown. I keep one bill checking account and one fun money checking account. Then many savings accounts lol.

That sounds like a sweet setup! Savings accounts are so fun, especially if there’s a high interest return 🤩🤩

I love your explanation on how you do the cashless system. Not many do cashless budgets and it's nice to see how others do it. I got some great ideas from you. Thanks.

Another great explanation video! I was surprised to hear my name lol. Appreciate the shoutout!
I’m also a cashless budgeter, but I’m paycheck to paycheck budgeting so it’s slightly different than yours. You’ve given me so many good ideas though!
    Thanks for sharing! 💛
