Well Chrystal, you knew, I was braiding my hair, so i have to sit for 45 or 50 mins, and I wanted to hear a Word, I turn this segment on...I am 73, and this is my story...and what Kia just spoke is almost word for word how this healing journey has begun, the Holy Spirit has been speaking to me last few days on leaning on His wisdom for me,,,,

Good morning Bless & Beautiful women, I wanna thank you for speaking on this. Using this platform to embracing women which is so much needed today. My father sexually abusived me. God touched my heart & hands to be his caregiver when he became ill. I step up to the plate to do so. While he continued this behavior. By the Grace of God, caring people God placed in my life I was able to handle it with forgiveness, love, care & understanding.God is still helping, guiding me on a Spiritual journey. Learning how to heal, stand in his faith, love & embrace him, love on me as God shine his Light on me, though me & around. Thank you for opening up the door so Beautifully & safely for all to share there story. Stay Bless & safe 🙏

THIS!!! Thank you for sharing Kia!! My Dad was bound to a drug addiction for most of his life but strived to get help and spend time with his children. We lost him to a drug addiction, but before he went GOD!!! God brought him and his children even closer. He even began to study the Bible (a long time atheist previously). I watched God chase after my dad in great ways. I don't think God should chase after anyone! But what I witnessed felt like God wanted a relationship with my dad greatly - more than I wanted to see my dad clean and saved. I seen God do extraordinary things to pursue that relationship. My dad was beginning to see that and I am so grateful to God for loving my dad more than me. Addiction is something that robs people of time, relationship, etc. Although I loss my dad prematurely, I am so grateful that God repaired our relationship before he passed. I forgave my dad for so much!

I am so glad I finally listened to this podcast. I am currently getting ready to go back into therapy to work on another layer of my father wounds. I can relate to all that said. This Father’s Day was hard for me😢. I have been in the card aisles and get frustrated. The Lord definitely had me to listen to this podcast. Thank you Chrystal and Kia.

Dear Sister, Ohh how common this... ohh how amazing is the grace of God!
A lot of thing I can not relate to, but at time I am so sleepy... long story short... the things the Lord used was the word ABBA Father... ABBA understood the word to mean DADDY (until a few months ago😊)... last but not least: the INABILITY to choose... we love each of by default: God choose us for our parents & our parents for us💞 ... tear up Sister b/ tiss so sweet to trust in Jesus... glory!!! His strength is made perfect in our weakness... we boast in what the Lord has done❤🫂❤... PS it is great get to know & love our parents beyond default.
🥰God can not lie & promised... Luke 4:18 KJV
The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
    1st Thess. 4:18 & Rev 4:1
    ❤-Sis.

The first time I listened to what was said, but I really did hear her ❤️. A few days . 0:21 listened again and before they had spoken five words I was in tears. I cried and cried and cried again. Now, I always considered myself a Daddy's girl and he had gone on to glory. So I didn't understand what was going on, so I asked my best friend, the Holy Spirit. I remembered that when my. Husband died Daddy wasn't there. And he stayed gone for about 3 more weeks. We really needed him and he just left us. Me and my girl's. And when he got back we never spoke àbout it I thought I was over it, until I listened to the Father wound podcast. ❤ I feel free.

Thank you for this very timely message! I've spent the last three days on a personal vacay to pray, hear from God and just reset. My time was well spent. God did not disappoint! What if it’s a father that is alive and he continues to reject you? My father struggles with alcoholism as well. I have many Father’s Day cards from years of trying to honor and love him and he never got the cards, because he was too “busy” to see me. How do you overcome knowing you are possibly going to be his only caregiver, even though he never gave it to you?

Crystal, I'm so sorry this has been your experience. You may need to create some boundaries that will help you manage the relationship with a father in a way that does not destroy you in the process. It may also be beneficial to enlist the support of a counselor. Be encouraged. You are not alone. XOXO, Kia

Thank you Chrystal and Kia for sharing this insightful, weighty matter of our hearts. This is so needed amongst the sons and daughters all over the world, most especially the body of Christ. We often don't even realize our relationship with the heavenly Father is directly correlated with our earthly fathers. I will most definitely be using your wisdom Kia and sharing this episode with others.

Precious message from your guest speaker, I think we all have a story, what do we do with it?
Read 50 books? Pray unceasingly?Counseling on and on?No matter how our hearts heal, or the percentage our hearts heal, no matter all the help we seek, and ongoing prayer, people will carry those tough memories, and I just feel that what we experienced in our growing up families, or learn what others experienced, this can’t help but affect our present adult relationships no matter our age. Adult people can be so aware in a present moment of communication, needing to respond appropriately or react appropriately, yet we were (hard?)wired as a child, old thoughts are difficult to erase, but we give the socially acceptable response, right? A person can feel fake with what is an acceptable, normal action (weird right?) fitting in to our societies acceptable communication and actions. I sound looney haha!
As a long time Elem teacher I see how little children respond, react, and develop, to what is harshly present in their little lives, I see a long road ahead of them.
Great speaker, so authentic💗. Yep, this interview fell into my lap today, not usually on my radar, so I thank you.

Why should one do something for Father's Day? This is a societal expectation that one can choose not to embrace in your life.

This podcast was such a gift. It gave me a chance to take some things off of the shelf that I thought the Lord had enabled me to put away. But, I feel the Holy Spirit speaking to my heart saying, "The Father wants more of His way and less of your way in this area." Thank you for helping me to see the need for digging up the soil of my heart to find what's out of alignment. I plan to share this with my daughters who have a terribly difficult road ahead due to their father's ungodly decisions and choices. 🙏

Thank you for such an awesome awareness to how God uses each of our experiences to help us get to where he wants us to be. He allows us time to process it and to come through it all, if we want to with his help. When she spoke of the 20 something years, where no one knew of her and the book was settling within her, I believe even then, God was minister to her and through her. He’s giving her glimpses of how he is still using ALL OF IT FOR HIS PURPOSE. That’s the change you see so clearly in her!🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽❤️❤

So there are wounds that I thought we were working on just right find out that he has this play daughter that is he treats like a biological daughter who he has allowed to put a wedge in our relationship. Help me deal with that and still heal.

1st of all you have to know the history Of the fathers. In your generation you have to find out what every Generation. lacked. From their own father. It is the Lack of something That Cause damage not The. good of something. You have to mend what's lacking 1st. You have to stop the bleeding of the lack. 1st. Because you don't want that bleeding over Into the Next generation. You. want them healthy. The pain of lack gets less and less when you know what it is. Don't sweep lack under the rug ask questions. Digest the pain. Stronger and wiser. Don't be afraid Of the lack history See something say something. Pass the Paton. To each generation keep a record book. So they can know where to start after you leave This world. That is taking care of your family?
