I’d have to say closer to “can’t you see “ . When it comes to “Thank You “ it’s all about the changes in tempo and feel . Really needs to be the whole song in reasonably close format. I had a tribute band a few years back (like 10 years) , and I also have an old friend who knows JP. I got him to ask one question for me. “What was his favorite song to perform ?” His response was “Thank you the audience loves it , and so do I . “ I learned it 10 mins later. And he was right !! It was ALWAYS a big hit with the crowd .. it’s a very dynamic song. 🤠🎸🎶✌️
Ha! Well, I'd say you already have the list. It's these backing tracks! Everything from Pink Floyd, to Hendrix to Alice in Chains, Dire Straits, Black Sabbath, Allman Brothers, Prince... I could keep going, but you get the picture!
BTW, you notes stating that b3 (F natural) is spot on. It was pretty much a standard for players to play that way as it gave it a bluesly soulful feel (for mixo mode anyway). In effect, your playing a minor blues or minor pent over a major chord. But we all know, it works, and works exceptionally well for mixolydian.
Awesome choice of track. Would it be possible to do a Badge solo section backing track like clapton had in his 70s solo bands? similar progression but arrpeggiated.
Hi, thank you for this great track! Also a question here; what's the logic behind of that you can play D Mixolydian and D dorian aswell? Is it beause of the progression? I can't find the connection. Thank you!
Hey man love your tracks, but could you please do Going Down by Freddie King, preferably in the style of Sammy Haggar on his "Sammy Haggar and friends" record? That would be super cool :)
I think you do a great job on these tracks but I would like to offer some constructive criticism. I don't play to this track as much as I like it because the volume fluctuates so much, I realize you bring it way down in the middle, but I spend most of the track thinking about and adjusting the volume of my guitar. I'd rather play and think about what I'm playing. I've noticed this to a lesser extent on some of the Zappa tracks, but not as much. IMHO, you could keep the same extensive production of the tracks but without the significant volume swells. Thanks for listening and thanks for the tracks.
Played a lot of wrong notes on this one but they turned into good mistakes lol ... No wonder Page almost crapped out on the H after Bonzo left the building.
Same! That's the ultimate funk/rock dominant chord, from Hendrix to the Meters and everything in between. Whenever I need a major chord on top of which to play pentatonic minor, that's usually a good pick.
Since the minor blues scale works on this chord progression, this means you can play a minor third with your mixolydian scale instead of a major third. Which would make it.. well, a dorian scale.

Awesome!! Reminds me of Dear Mr Fantasy, great work!!
Yeah that was a pretty common groove back then!
This was nothing short of magical! If I was rich I would donate a nice sum to you for your tracks. Thanks A LOT.
Yes, Hey Jude, Mr. Fantasy, Can't You See, Thank You, and about 1 million other rock songs of the 60's and 70's! Mixo was king back in the day.
yes it was!
I had a blast jamming over this track! Thanks you for the great job!
Thanks Amir!
So much fun!!!
So fun bro thanks a bunch
Im crying while playing on this track, Thank You man
Greetings from Argentina
Awesome man! Y por cierto, me encanta Artgentina!
Fantastic one!
Thanks
This shit makes you feel! That’s what it’s all about
Please man make a list of your favourite bands/artist.Your backing tracks are great and much of it comes from your taste of music i think :D
Ha! Well, I'd say you already have the list. It's these backing tracks! Everything from Pink Floyd, to Hendrix to Alice in Chains, Dire Straits, Black Sabbath, Allman Brothers, Prince... I could keep going, but you get the picture!
dug this one for sure
Thanks Brian!
also a little sympathy for the devil in here. great track
Pleased to meet you...
Also reminds me of Mr. Fantasy by Steve Winwood
Very very similar!
that's perfect

Yep!
I hear “Dear Mr. Fantasy” in here too!
It’s the same riff!
Interesting observation regard hey jude and thank you
Driving and Cryin - Honeysuckle Blue
It sounds like, “Can’t You See” by The Marshall Tucker Band.
Basically the same thing
Also “Oh Sweet Nothin” by The Velvet Underground
Excellent job!
However what do you think about adding more jazzy tracks to your catalouge?
I think about that all the time actually. I'm definitely going to do the basics really soon!
Hey in addition to the great fretboard assistance, could you tell me the best time to do the guitar salute and blow the sweat off my nose?
haha, I would say, generally during a sustained chord or while you're holding an epic bend.
ever thought about doing any megadeth or pantera style tracks ? Great jam as usual :D
Sweet Nuthin by Velvet Underground
GOOD IDEA!!
Dude your tracks are perfect could you make a fast a7x progression in d minor?
What track do you think would be good?
Now You Shred Jam Tracks Online kinda like beast in the harlot . but with your nice textures :)
Thank You for this track! But also i mean that this is Thank You by Zeppelin! Thank you for Thank You I guess... ;)
It's also Dear Mr. Fantasy in Dm.
It also sounds like Marshall Tucker's Can't You See
Don't forget that little 6 minute part of HEY JUDE!!
Pictures of Matchstick Men!😄
Awesome choice of track. Would it be possible to do a Badge solo section backing track like clapton had in his 70s solo bands? similar progression but arrpeggiated.
Hey Lauren! I made on a long time ago, but it was kind of lame. Maybe I'll remake it. Are you thinking of a live version in particular?
Now You Shred Jam Tracks Online not really, just that descending arrpeggio on a loop forever lol
Yes, and would you like coffee with that?
Add this to the list: "She Sells Sanctuary" by The Cult.
Man, now there's a blast from the past! Good one though
Hi, thank you for this great track!
Also a question here; what's the logic behind of that you can play D Mixolydian and D dorian aswell? Is it beause of the progression? I can't find the connection.
Thank you!
the connection is... BLUES!
When you show up for the Zeppelin backing track and instead find the best Squirming Coil jam track there is.
😹😹😹😹 So True dude!
Hey man love your tracks, but could you please do Going Down by Freddie King, preferably in the style of Sammy Haggar on his "Sammy Haggar and friends" record? That would be super cool :)
Good request! Thanks

That’s interesting, I usually like to have dynamic changes in a jam track but I hear where you’re coming from
Maravilha !
Obrigado!
you do keys too man?
Sounds more Mardhal Tucker than Zeppelin, but great track!
I’ll take that as a compliment! thanks man🎸💥
play sweet child o mine over this
I’m going to try that!
Hahaha I was jamming and I saw ur comment : it’s perfect 😭😭
If this don't inspire you then maybe you ought to just go back to playing the radio ....lol
Hahaha, That’s a great complement thanks!
Can't you see?
Another one!
Yes, Hey Jude, Mr. Fantasy, Can't You See, Thank You, and about 1 million other rock songs of the 60's and 70's! Mixo was king back in the day.
dr mr fantasy. awesome traffic tune
It's also very similar to the end part of The Rain Song.
Played a lot of wrong notes on this one but they turned into good mistakes lol ... No wonder Page almost crapped out on the H after Bonzo left the building.
There’s no such thing as a wrong note if you believe in them!
Chords?
D - C - G - D I believe
Indeed they are! Sometimes I played a D7#9 just to make it more ambiguous.
Same! That's the ultimate funk/rock dominant chord, from Hendrix to the Meters and everything in between. Whenever I need a major chord on top of which to play pentatonic minor, that's usually a good pick.
And why the dorian scale, if there are only major chords?
Since the minor blues scale works on this chord progression, this means you can play a minor third with your mixolydian scale instead of a major third. Which would make it.. well, a dorian scale.
sympathy for the devil in D major
Basically yeah!
There's someone im missing.... Anita?...are you out there ?..... FIND ME !
I think I hear Pearl Jam in here somehow LOL
I can totally hear that man!
Now You Shred Jam Tracks Online I hear Alive by p jam
it sound like sympathy for the devil..right?
Totally!
Dude...seriously the organ is drowning everything out.
I’m so sorry. I hope this free backing track didn’t ruin your day...
I love your compositions. My opinion, and only that is the volume level for the organ was too loud.
@@2817well lol ok
