i did want to get this out a lot earlier, but school and life tend to get in the way. im just glad to finally finish this up - its definitely one of the biggest and most time consuming videos ive made and god im so tired now (i started this back in april so if you could kindly ignore all the inconsistencies i would appreciate it :")) but yeah, hope you like this sorta-tribute to the owl house

'Be my mirror, my sword and shield' with respectively Gus, Willow and amity works so well
I was about to comment that. Gus the mirror for illusions, and his mirror charm, Willow the sword for her thorns and offensive plant magic and badassery, and Amity as the shield for her defensive nature and prominent use of defensive magic and abomination armor.
And hunter as a missionary in a *foreign field* because he used to be the golden guard

Literally and Eda hardly has animations only about her it's mostly Lilith or Raine in the animations and it makes it a Raeda animation. Like what the hell?

Luz Noceda is really special to me, and to a lot of people. She's an absurd goofball who brings the best out of everyone by being herself. She's also a hero who will put herself on the line to protect those she loves and any innocent.
Her coming of age is an inspiration. To us, to endeavor to understand others and ourselves more completely.

You perfectly encaptured the magic, power, pain, and beauty of this entire series in one animatic. For that, you should be immensely proud of all the blood, sweat, tears, and passion that you put into this project. I was kicking my feet and giggling the entire time because of how much this show means to me and because of how well you summarized this amazing story within less than five minutes. Never stop creating!! Never stop expressing yourself!!! And most of all, never stop being the awesome and badass weirdo that you are!!! For as Luz Noceda once proudly exclaimed in the very first episode of this series, "Us weirdos have to stick together!"

This animatic does such an incredible job at capturing my favorite aspect of the show: Luz looking back at who she was when she first arrived at the Boiling Isles with a mix of nostalgia and regret. The first minute and a half works as a flashback to when Luz faced Belos once before, but he was still a manageable threat in her eyes, someone she could make jokes about. This is the perfect song to portray Luz loosing touch with herself and her hope before slowly regaining it with the support of her friends who she supported for so long before now.
This was genuinely a stunning animatic! I have been brought close to tears.

Oh my GODDDDDDD everything in this is so beautiful! I love the Collector and Kikimora’s faces on ‘couldn’t believe what I’d become’ and using the Hexsquad plus King on “mirror, sword and shield, missionaries in a foreign field.” Beautifully done!

As a long time fan of The Owl House who is still grieving over the loss if this amazing show along with the loss of Amphibia this is beautiful, I can hear Luz laughing and being happy about this👍👍👍👍
DAMN- IS THIS MUCH TALENT NORMAL IN THE TOH COMMUNITY?? BECAUSE THE COMMENTS SEEM REALLY CHILL FOR THIS AMOUT OF SKILL- I MEAN- NOT ONLY THE EDITING BUT THE WAY YOU WERE ABLE TO TELL THE WHOLE STORY IN A MATTER OF 4 AND A HALF MINUTES IS INSANE, WELL DONE!!
first of all, I love how each moment kinda ended up at each finale. Also i am very proud that i recognized every scene you drawn and recognzed when it happened in the owl house. Second, the music was synched SO WELL. There were such dramatic beats that aligned with the drawings: some examples:
* luz tricks belos into shaking her hand and brands him with the coven seal: there was like five beats for that and you hit them all wonderfully
* luz transforms from finding stringbean to her death scene, that was insanely good
* every time you illustrated important parts in the series while leading up to the finale where luz looks ahead
Third, i love that you used renaiery's viva la vida song, because one, ot's my fav version of the song, and two, i love renaiery so much (literally when the song started playing I was like "is this... renaiery?? and i checked the description and it WAS)
But literally this animatic is one of the best I have EVER seen, and I don't say that lightly. I saved this to my "too good for words" playlist because IT JUST IS.

You captured nearly everything perfect about The Owl House.
Aside from Lumity (which wouldn’t fit into with the song anyway) it is just perfection!
You captured the blood, sweat, and tears that this show is made of. The trauma Luz had gone through and how she pushed herself more and more. The overall change in tone for Luz, her depression getting more and more severe (to the point she mentions her suicidal ideation in school at one point in the show), her initial infectious cheerful attitude whittled away but stuck with those around her.
This is just so perfect!

Oh my god the constant smooth transition from one event to the next, all shown through luz being the main constant and just being tugged around from one thing to the next, like she goes to the boiling isles, dies, and gets resurrected and idk i just love how this animatic actually focuses on luz, because her journey was something so personal to me.
I love how in that one picture its just flapjack and Hunter is like "WHAT IS THAT?! I WILL NOT TOUCH IT."

This is like a fucking tribute to the show AND I AM SO IN LOVE WITH IT AND IT'S DOING THE SHOW SO MUCH JUSTICE
This is by far one of the best TOH animations I’ve ever seen.
First, I’ll start with the usage of gold. Gold at the beginning symbolizes Belos’ reign (Emperor’s Coven) and the control he had over the Boiling Isles, but then it transitions to Luz’s story. The gold then symbolizes Luz and her light (to put it very simply). Just a beautiful color to choose for her story and the mood of the animatic as a whole.
Secondly, can we talk about the ACTION?? My GOD, that first fight scene with Luz and Belos is animated BEAUTIFULLY!! I got goosebumps during the King’s Tide segment when Luz’s friends started defending her, because that tweening is just 🤌🤌🤌
And lastly, I wanna shout-out the subtle details in Luz’s designs over the course of this! I love how she looks visibly older and more mature. Just little details like that show me how much effort and dedication you put into this project.
