    Your deadlift-front-squat-dips-pullups has kept me in check for the past decade, Elliot.
    1) Movement (10k steps)
    2) Muscle (Lift, bitches)
    3) Macros (Focus on protein, balance out with carbs and fats, and don't over-eat)
    4) Metrics (Measure food, measure progress)
    Simple as always.

    Who realizes that Elliot just dropped the entire program for the fountain of youth and weight loss in 8 freaking minutes. Gazillions of dollars and knowledge for everything in 8 simple minute video. Incredible time to be alive....and no freaking excuses.

    I'm 48 , totally agree. Never thought about adding 5x5. Going to be doing this in the new year, making everything simple and no alcohol for 2025! Nice one Elliot, happy new year.

    • @wreagfe
      @wreagfe 3 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      5x5 sounds tricky post 40's, but he said 3 to 5 sets by 3 to 5 reps, which sounds a lot more reasonable.
      5x5 heavy 2-3 times a week is nice when you are in your 20s and can eat, sleep, work out, repeat in your mom's basement. :)
      Qua food, I'd say reach your protein with whole animal foods and you won't even have to check your calories, as you will be satiated no matter what.

    Not sure a heart conditioning exercise isn't needed in there too somewhere. I use the bag boxing and or skipping. I guess the Elliot simple way would be just find some sort of cardio you can stomach doing and stick to it at least twice a week. Still a great bit of guidance though.👍

  • @LMAODOODZ
    @LMAODOODZ 5 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

    I started off doing 8k steps a day. I had to walk around the Vanderbilt mansion to achieve that. I got a new job and I dont have time for cardio with weight lifting but I end up doing 14k steps or more a day at work so it works out.
    I think its important for everyone to monitor theit step counts. If your job isnt an office job, youll be shocked to see how many steps you walk a day. Id be overwhelmed if I had to do 13k steps in one work out.

    I lift 2-3 (3 mostly) times a week, lots of compound.
    I jog at least 2 times a week.

    I use common sense about nutrition.

    People tend to give too much signifficance to age. It does not matter if you are 20 or 50. This should be done in all ages to ensure that you stay fit for life. Many man at 50 are more fit than some at 20 just because thei stay active.
    Just move, walk, add some lifting. Eat real food and youll be in amazing shape.

    Hey bro, just subbed. I'm over 40 and cleaned my diet up over the past 4 months. Fat is coming off, now I'm wanting to workout. Luckily I have a job I can go workout on lunch break, only thing close is a planet fitness, also one by my house. Thought about getting a membership, I've never been to a gym, I've done push-ups, kettle bell and dumbells at home. Any suggestions on what to do there?

    5 things. Not be emotionally moved off center by ego. Men must learn to admit sins , is a good way to put it. Or it will take men down over and over again. To learn to say " I did this, I take responsibility and will do better" to not wallow in shame about it. You say this goes back to most likely toilet training.
    I'm too hormonal to give a duck at the moment. So I'm helping a bit. For example if you were to admit to the men that I'm good at this helping thing, you should have listened and taken my help, instead of disrespecting me.... That would do them and you some good. I don't really want you to do that, but it's a good example that makes sense to both of us. Learning to do that kinda humble truth ego detachment would free men of some chains. Each ego part, think of it as a chain. Every time you let go of a part of ego, you are free 1 chain. I'm gonna go make icing for the brownies I got in the oven now..
