The thing we all want to hide from is the vocabulary. No matter how much youve mastered gramnar conjegations etc you cant hide from the fact russian has 200,000 words of witch you must know and comprehend at least 10-12k to barely understand most basic tv shows movies etc. and that can take a couple years! no crash course or technique to learning will help with this, you must be on a mission of massive word learning along with comtextual practice

I agree Ari. That is probably one of the things I wish I would have done from the start was use dead time to learn Russian passively when I first got into college instead of watching mindless content despite how good 'Game of Thrones' was. Or watching mindless streams on TH-cam and movies.
I am close to finishing Duolingo but I am deciding if I want to keep putting more of my focus into Russian or shift a little bit towards putting more effort into Ukrainian, German, Spanish, and Italian this year.

there is almost 150 000 words in ruskie and the word fast doesnt come in handy and i my self as someone who knows nokian.persian.english.and my own local language wich is lori and now learning russian its not about learning its about practicing and memorizing words cuz nobody goes first for the grammer of the language he is trying to learn then the words like for example russian grammer like cmon how are you going to learn the grammer when you dont even know basics or meanings of the word so yeah in this video he is right about everything its hard asf it would take you years of practicing everyday and yes its about vocabulary.i learned english with 0% classes and spent 0$ on learning and now i know everything about it hell i even tought english grammer for two months in a institute for free .it is hard though if youre not taking paid classes by professionals like this guy on youtube.it took me 4 years of every day practice to master english.russian is diffrent though.it has diffrent pronounciations and more words than english.good luck and yes id recommend this guy's channel for learning english he looks healthy and qualified.good luck.

I've been in Moscow for almost a month and I study Russian, i can't say a single correct sentence
I think Russian is more about practicing and memorizing and for me it's so hard to make any friends with whome i can practice the language unfortunately 🥹
