Now you know what a true beignet taste like. 😊
They are delicious! Cafe Du Monde is great. Thank you for watching
I was just about to say that even though I never had any I know what ever they are in the last video wasn't it
California is filled with fake food, fake places and fake people.
🌄 🌴🌴⛱️🌅...😅
So glad you got the GOAT of beignets!
Chicory, if I remember correctly, was added as a cheap coffee extender.
Chicory is made from the root a plant that is part of the dandelion family. The greens are picked for salads and the root is roasted and ground for coffee. It has many benefits but should be avoided if you are pregnant or breastfeeding or if you suffer from ragweed or pollen allergies.
Thanks for the information! great to know. And thanks for watching
It certainly makes coffee…interesting.
Yep, it’s not coffee coffee. It was invented during a time in NewOrleans when coffee beans where very very hard to come by, but the good people that f NewOrleans really loved coffee, so they came up with Chicory, and as y’all found out it’s really good.
Brilliant, there are many informative people on the Internet. Thanks.
Didn't know about the ragweed allergy connection. Thanks! Note to self: avoid chicory.
Nicola, you are spot on, New Orleans is one of my favorite cities but I'm glad I don't live there because I'd weigh 300 pounds from all the beignets and gumbo I'd be eating. Glad you loved them!
So true! The food was delicious we can't wait to go back. thanks for watching
I'd overdose on jambalaya and shrimp po'boys.
@@mokumboi19 okay, yeah, good point, shrimp poboys and roast beef poboys with debris are some of my favorite foods ever created.
I'd retire there with zero regrets😋😆😆
Next, you really need to go to Brennen's to try the Bananas Foster, which is the home of the famous dessert. It's a show and a dessert in one meal with the tableside flambe😋😋😋😋 you will thank me later😁
YES!!! OMG, they have to! Yet another iconic New Orleans creation.
We may have tried other desserts while in New Orleans 😉 and will upload a video soon.
We may have tried other desserts while in New Orleans 😉 and will upload a video soon.
YES!!
Yes, I love to go to Brennans on Sunday when I am in NOLA. I always get the same thing , Brandy Milk punch , Turtle soup , eggs hussarde and bananas foster. Then I am not hungry the rest of the day.
NOW you understand a beignet as you have gone to the greatest place for that great food. As someone who was born/raised in Louisiana where the food, music and culture is the best.
We loved New Orleans and the food there. We tried so many new dishes and we have many more video to upload.
Great move, now you should've went across the street to Central Grocery Store for the Muffaleta. An Italian sandwich with multiple meats cheeses and olive salad. This sandwich to visitors is a religious experience
We did try a Muffaleta, but from another place as the Central grocery store was out on the day we went! We will upload the video soon!
@@thebritstry ⚜️ It's almost impossible to find a muffaletta outside of this area because the muffaletta bread loaf is baked here in the city specifically for this sandwich. I'm sure you were not disappointed, wherever it is that you found your muffaletta - it's so good! I've come across imitations all over the country and they get it so wrong everywhere else. It simply MUST be made with a genuine muffaletta loaf in order to be a muffaletta, you can't use any other breads because it just doesn't taste the same at all.
Saw that you tried a muffuletta, I hope it was heated. They really are better that way. Poor boys are even more popular and come with a variety of fried seafoods on them.
Love ya'll! ❤
Go to Brennan's and try Bananas Foster! They cook it right in front of you and is one of the best desserts you will ever have!
We may have visited Brennans while in New Orleans, we will upload the video of southern desserts soon!
Oh my gosh. I love Bananas Foster and bread pudding...
Y'all need to go to Parkway Bakery. It's actually a bar/restaurant and they have the best po-boys. Cochon/Cochon's Butcher has the best Cajun food. Also, Willie Mae for the best fried chicken in the country. Camellia Grill is a New Orleans diner. There's so many this list will go on forever. 😊
@@JLee54321 Sounds amazing.
Now, that is a beignet.😂😂😂😂
They are delicious...we had them for breakfast and for a late night snack.. Still getting the powdered sugar out of our clothes though😂
@@thebritstry I'm a born and raised Louisianan. Powdered sugar on your clothes from eating beignets is a badge of honor. Wear it proudly.
Oh I can't tell you how glad I am you made it to Cafe Du Monde. My heart sank at your original tasting because I knew what you were eating weren't even close to the real thing. Enjoy your trip.
Cafe du monde was such a great experience and delicious! We wish we had more time there.
@@thebritstry I get it! I look forward to my next NOLA trip just for the chance to go there!
Again. I'm so glad you went to a southern mecca of food. Cajun and Creole cuisine is in a class all its own.
I'm excited to see you try Shrimp Etouphe., Gumbo, Jumbalaya. Dirty rice and a proper red beans and rice.
Cafe du monde was such a great experience! we tried so many delicious foods while in New Orleans. We have more videos to upload soon!
I'm so excited! To see your experiences.
⚜️ I'm so glad you two came down here to New Orleans to try our fabulous foods and our delicious coffee and chicory. Now, you both know that a beignet is a beignet. If it's made or served or looks any other way, it's not a beignet. They are traditionally served 3 per order. Some places serve them in other quantities, but a traditional order is always a trinity with a mountain of powdered sugar. Many local places here in New Orleans serve beignets and they are very very good and very similar to Cafe du Monde, but it's understood that Cafe du Monde is the Gold Standard to which we hold all other beignets to.
We make it a point to specify/differentiate between "coffee and chicory" and "coffee" because they are different due to the addition of roasted chicory root. Many of us native New Orleanians have a difficult time drinking simple "coffee" because we were raised on "coffee and chicory" and the flavor profile is rich, full bodied, and simply divine.
Also, it's not unusual to find coffee and chicory in France and Turkey (Turkish coffee is so thick and rich and sweet!).
I'm looking forward to seeing the other local favorites you've tried. (I already know you enjoyed everything, because it's New Orleans - and we are quite serious about eating really great foods!) ⚜️
Thanks for sharing! Cafe Du Monde was a great experience! We tried so many food in New Orleans and the city is great! We have more videos to come.
LOL this is why y'all were so sneaky when I told you to make sure you tried Beignets!
Haha, We are sneaky beignet lovers. Those powdered sugar clouds are irresistible!
You're such an adorable couple. Glad you could try the real thing! How long have you two lived in the states?
Thank you! we loved Cafe Du Monde.
Adding Chicory is used to reduce the bitterness of the coffee.
It worked so well with the sweetness of the beignets.
Thanks for making me hungry again! You are really enjoying your excursions.
Me too! We could eat those beignets at any time of the day! Thanks for watching.
Chicory is a root originally found in the Old World that was introduced to the Americas and Australia. When roasted, it tastes a lot like coffee. It has been used as both a coffee substitute and a coffee additive for a very long time.
Thanks for the information! it was a smooth tasting coffee
I was waiting for the coffee dunk.
Lol! We forgot to do that.... Next for sure...
Yay! Real beignets, especially from Cafe du Monde are the best! I’m so glad that you actually made the trip to try authentic New Orleans food!
So good! Thanks for watching! We tried so many food in New Orleans in our short time there. We have more videos to come.
I had my first at Cafe DuMonde in New Orleans, in 1990, though I had cocoa with mine.
I still remember how delicious they were.
They were delicious! we went more than once..
Glad you were able to get authentic beignets vs whatever that donut thing was! You should try them with raspberry jam next time - so yummy! You can buy Cafe du Monde coffee at certain grocery stores and at World Market - also the beignet mix if you want to make them at home.
Cafe du monde was such a delicious experience! We may have visited more than once😂We will have to try the raspberry jam next time
I live in New Orleans and I came across your video. I loved it. Showed my husband and the next thing we were at Cafe Du Monde. It’s 93 degrees feels like 98 degrees. You inspired us. It’s our favorite treat. Thanks.
Wow!!! That's wonderful to hear!! but we are also very jealous.. Those beignets were amazing... Thanks you for watching and commenting.
You have to try Texas BBQ next, keep up the good videos.
I second that!!
We are working on it! Hopefully we will get there soon. Is there any places you would recommend we try and get to?

Coming soon! Thanks for watching!
There is a window around the back of the cafe, in Dutch Alley, where you can see them making the Beingnets in the kitchen.
Yes, we watched the making them. It's fun to watch..
SO GLAD YOU FINALLY CAME TO MY STATE!!! EAT WELL
Thanks for having us! we loved it there and wished we could have stayed longer.

I have been waiting for this video!!! ❤❤❤
We hoped you enjoyed it! Thank you for watching.
@@thebritstry absolutely ❤️❤️❤️
The great thing is you can actually make them from home. It's a really easy recipe. My mom was born in New Orleans and we used to make these on special occasions during the weekend.
So, when's the next special occasion? I'll bring my appetite! 😂 Thanks for watching
Yaaaaay! I'm so glad you were able to try the real thing! 😊
Me too!! It was get to visit New Orleans
I appreciate your honest take on food in the States. Whether something is good or bad or just so-so, we get your honest impressions. You had bad or mediocre beignets before, but you got a chance to try the real thing in the right city. Keep on putting out smart content. You are both great.
Thank you so much for your kind words and for watching our videos. We are hoping to get out and visit more states. Let us know if there is anything you think we should try!
Omg!!!! I cant wait for yall to experience New Orleans food!
Thank you for your kind words! we will upload more videos very soon!
HOW EXCITING, YOU-GUYS!!! :) I've been ENJOYING your VIDEOS!!! THANKS!! ENJOY!!! HUGS!

Oh good! So glad yall liked them and Chicory coffee. New Orleans food is just the best.
Thanks for your comment! Cafe Du Monde was delicious, it's amazing how well the chicory coffee and sweet beignets go together!
I’ve been waiting on this one!
We hope you like it! thanks for watching
I'm so glad you left California to get some real beignets and Southern food. Enjoy!
I was hoping that you would try beignets while you're here! There's really nowhere else to get great beignets but New Orleans. Glad you enjoyed them😁😁
Cafe du monde was delicious and a great experience, and environment. We went more than once just to make sure 😂
Louisiana native here. Great video. I hope you guys got to try some more traditional dishes like gumbo, jambalaya, crawfish etoufee, stuffed peppers, okra stew, catfish bisque, etc.
Thank you for your kind words! and for watching We loved New Orleans and tried so many new foods and local dishes. We are trying to get more videos up soon!
You are a lovely couple. We Americans eat some weird items like peanut butter and jelly sandwiches on white bread or corn dogs. 😂 Come back soon y'all and keep making the wonderful videos!
Now you know why those other donuts were the worst of imposters, lol.
Tangent: I love that you knit, Nicola! What are you working on? I'm taking a crochet break and making some bumblebees before I get back to finishing a knitted cropped sweater. It really should've been done because I literally only have one sleeve to finish but I made Christmas presents so it had to wait, lol.
Lol! I am currently working on 3 sweaters that are at different stage of unfinished! One of them is very close though. I have never tried crocheting as it looks quite difficult, so i am very impressed you can do both!
@@thebritstry it's funny you say that since I know a lot of crocheters feel the same about knitting, lol. I truly believe that all it takes is the right teaching method and you can do both. i challenge you to give it a try. You already have yarn. All you need is one hook and you can get a nice inexpensive one so if you decide you don't like it, you didn't really waste the money. You might surprise yourself.
If you visit a grocery store in Nola or pretty much any gulf coast city you can find Cafe du Monde beignet mix and coffee with chicory. Chicory is a flower whose root is added to coffee here in the deep south. Good source of beta carotine and reduces inflammation
Thanks for the information on chicory! We didn't know that!
I love the review you do, thank you for your time and input. You are trying things for me that I won't be able to. Keep up the good work.
Thanks for the kind words! it really means alot! Cafe du monde was a real experience, so happy we went!
You guys are so cute. I'm so glad you finally were able to eat the real thing.😊
Thanks for the kind words! Cafe du monde was a real experience, so happy we went!
Yay! I’m so happy you had the real thing! Oh my goodness! I live in Georgia but have eaten at the real Cafe Du Monde in New Orleans… unforgettable! The French Quarter is filled with amazing food and music!
❤
Thank you so much for your kind words! we had a wonderful time at Cafe Du Monde. The French Quarter is truly a magical place, and we are grateful to have been able to experience it. Just wish we had more time there.
additives like chicory start showing up in coffee during times of need, like wartime. You noticed Cafe du Monde opened in 1862, that's right in the middle of the Civil War.
The funny thing about additives is that people get used to them and even after the shortage is over, like to keep adding them.
So glad you made it to the original Cafe Du Monde. I've been there before but it's been years. I know a trip like that isn't cheap but I hope it was worth it. I"m sure you're back in Cali by now. Wonder if had a chance to visit the WWII museum in New Orleans.
We really wanted to go to the WWII museum, but ran out of time, but it gives us a reason to have to go back!
@@thebritstryalso the African American museum in New Orleans
Yep, they good. I live in Indiana but my mother was born and raised in NOLA. My relatives on that side all live there. Love Du Monde when we visit.
That's awesome! New Orleans has such a rich culture. We loved Cafe du Monde and we went more than once in the short time we were there.
My fave city!! 7th times the charm!! Cafe beignet on bourbon has live jazz in the courtyard if Cafe Du Monde has a long line. $5 for 3 & chicory coffee will def fill ya up😋
Thanks for watching, we really enjoyed Cafe du monde but next time we will give Cafe beignet a try,
Great job here and God Bless! Beautiful couple! 🙏🤠
Thank you So Much!
Awesome!!! You guys rock! The coffee is great too...nothing to compare. You can buy the coffee too. The atmosphere is just so fun too.
We agree! The coffee taste works so well with the sweetness of the beignets.. Thanks for watching
You had a much more lovely experience than I did at that particular Cafe Du Monde. I wish that the crowd at Cafe Du Monde was the size that you seem to be experiencing rather than the Madding crowds that we had very late around Halloween. There were beignet carcasses all over the floor on the tables. We didn't even get coffee, just got beignets which were good but I haven't eaten one since.
If you have to get dusted by something with a black coat then powdered sugar would be the way to go. I'm very glad that you had a lovely experience and had a true beignet.
Sorry you had that experience... We were very lucky at the times we visited. 10 minutes after we left there was a line down the street waiting to get in!
@@thebritstry oh, no need to be sorry. The beignets that we did have were delicious and and again I am so gratified that you had a lovely experience and were able to sit down and enjoy what was presumably freshly made and absolutely delicious. I love your adventures and I look forward to the next that you both go on. Be well and eat well.
Mexican and Sea Food in Cali.. that is about it... The food in Nawlins will blow your mind.. The list of must goes there is staggering.. great video..
Thanks for sharing! We tried so many food in New Orleans and the city is great! We have more videos to come.
Those are proper beignets. The center isn't that 'in your face' flavor. It is bread basically. But all fry bread (beignets are just one type) have the same feel with slightly different taste. When you try Mexican food, have sopapillas. They are a little more puffy & you can poke a hole in the top to put butter or honey or both inside. Not too much, it will be quite messy to eat even with just a little. While in N.O. Do try the bread pudding. I think it is good here in Texas but better there. If they ask if you want bourbon or rum sauce, just say yes please. LOL!!
Thanks for the sopapillas recommendation! we will have to search those out and give them a try! We did try some more southern desserts while we were there, we will upload the video as soon as possible.
@@thebritstry We will look forward to them soon?
I had beignets at Cafe Du Monde many years ago and I still miss them!
It was a great experience at Cafe Du Monde! We would have loved to have spent more time in New Orleans, The food was delicious and we loved those Beignets....
Yes, chicory is a plant root added to the coffee. In olden times it was used to make the coffee stores last longer.
Thanks for sharing! It has a distinctive flavor that went so well with the sugary beignets.
New Orleans food is otherworldly. There are many dishes that mimic the original West African versions. Like gumbo is an okra soup that is made throughout west Africa. I enjoy Louisiana gumbo but it makes me okra soup.in Sénégal it's called soupa kanje.
Yummy!!! Cheers A & N.
They were delicious! thanks for taking the time to watch
A lot of Southerners put Chicory in their coffee and often Chicory was used when coffee was scarce. I find chicory mellows out the bitterness in coffee.
Thanks for the information! It tasted great with the sweet beignets..
Now, come to Maryland and try our blue crabs! So sweet, so good, worth the effort
We would love to do that in the future! Thanks for the suggestion
The beignet mix is simple to use and can entertaining on a lazy day
Next time we will grab some to try making at home!
Love to know who does your seo 😮 love the content 🙌

Now you eaten right. Enjoy. In Georgia try Brunswick Stew and Peach Cobbbler. Florida try Key lime pie.
Thanks for the tips! next time we will for sure!..
*@TheBritsTry* Find yourselves a Krispy Kreme doughnut facility (where they are made fresh) and have the original GLAZED doughnuts when the "HOT NOW" sign is turned-on! They are only made in Virginia and North Carolina. I have a Brit friend who came here on a Fulbright scholarship (ended-up getting married and STAYED) and he went absolutely ape-shit for the KK glazed doughnuts and became a regular fixture at our local one (Roanoke, VA) and then he moved to a teaching job in NC that was in Winston Salem, NC - just so he could have Krispy Kremes everyday (there is a KK there). It redefines all that you know about "donuts" and don't even remotely compare to Dunkin Donuts, or others. P.S. I do love the hot beignets at Cafe DuMonde in New Orleans - not the chickory though! 😁 Cheers! 🥃
Wow! thanks for the great idea! we would love to visit Carolina and Virginia and who doesn't like fresh doughnuts. We will check out the locations and try and figure out another vacation.
LOL! You guys are so cute! Chicory coffee is usually an acquired taste, but I think you're naturals. LoL. Make sure you do a mufflata and go to Mother's for a sandwich with lots of debris. Cheers from Tennessee
Thanks for the suggestions! the chicory coffee works so well with the sugary goodness in the beignets. We would love to visit Tennessee, maybe our next trip?
@@thebritstry I think y'all would like my State. If you look at the state flag of Tennessee, you'll see 3 stars in a circle. We are the Tri-state. There's 3 distinct sections. East Tennessee has the mountains, middle Tennessee is where the capital Nashville is and where I live at West Tennessee has Memphis and the blues. Plus BBQ that's different than anyone else's. Lots to see, do and eat. I think y'all would like it. Cheers from Tennessee
Those "beignets" you had in California were a lot closer to malasadas, a Portuguese hole-less donut very popular in Hawaii (although I don't believe they have filling, usually.) Hawaii, by the way, another must visit for food. So many good things. Shave ice, loco moco, Spam fried rice, saimein (Hawaiian noodle soup,) and all kinds of good grilled meat, poke, kahlua pork....Hawaiian food is different from food in the rest of the country. Oh, and good coffee--Kona Gold, the best beans in the world, are found in Hawaii.
Thanks for the information! We love learning about different types of food from around the world. Hawaii sounds like a food lover's paradise!
@@thebritstry It is. Even McDonald's over there has specialty menu items found nowhere else.
A quick and easy way to smooth out "bitter" coffee is to add a dash of salt to the coffee. The bitterness comes from the acidity of the coffee, so when you add salt, a base, it smooths out the taste. I recently learned this from one of these types of videos. Adding creame/milk to coffee does the same thing, bht sometimes you don't get enough creamer in the coffee to neutralize the acidity. So adding a bit of salt will solve that problem.
We really didn't know that! that's really interesting. thank you
I grow chickory it's very beneficial to health has numerous health properties. I use it in many ways mainly with dandelions. Uts in same family.
Thanks for the information! we didn't know that.
CDM coffee isn't just chicory (a plant root). It's a combination of coffee and roasted chicory root, which has been used as a coffee substitute historically when coffee beans have been harder to find or limited in quantity.
Personaly, I'm not that big a fan of their beignets since there's no option to get it without powdered sugar. When I was a kid, we used to dip them in cane syrup instead of putting powdered sugar on them. The ideal dough, IMO, is french bread dough. It gets that perfect consistency where it's crispy on the outside, but pillowy and melts in your mouth on the inside. CDM is definitely a place that everyone should try for beignets, but there are plenty of other places that offer it without the powdered sugar.
I appreciate your insights! It's always great to hear different perspectives on food. Your memories of dipping beignets in cane syrup sound delightful!
Now that you've had a chance to try southern cuisine i hope you get a chance to try Texas barbecue. Nothing quite like it.
Thanks for the suggestion! Texas BBQ is definitely on the list of things to try! Is there restaurants you would recommend we try? We will hopefully get there soon.
@@thebritstry Franklin's or Terry Black's or Cooper's in Austin. Or better yet, all three. And if you want to freaky with some Texas barbecue, try Interstellar BBQ in Austin. They have some very creative BBQ items on the menu.
Sam's in East Austin is great, 2M in San Antonio, Truth in Houston and Blacks in Lockhart, I think in Dallas I went to Slow Bone. Whatever you do.....avoid the salt lick. I would also suggest Rudy's for the cream corn @thebritstry

The beignets are killer, but it’s their chicory coffee that steals the show. I actually buy it from Cafe du Monde online and brew it at home.
When I lived in New Orleans - Cafe DuMonde was the best place to go at night - (it was a vampire thing) and spotting tourist. They always looked freshly powdered...

Hey Brits!! My suggestion for your next great American cuisine should probably be some good old fashioned BBQ!!! Many different styles, favors and cuts of meat!! Texas for beef, North and South Carolinas for pork, Kansas City for the sauces and Memphis for the dry rub. Like i said many different choices to try and compare! Love your videos! 💯
Thanks for the kind words! BBQ is definitely on the radar of things we would love to try! we are hoping to try some very soon! We will ask for some suggestions on where to try soon.
If you look in certain grocery stores, you can find Cafe du Monde coffee in cans to brew at home. Whole Foods should have it.
Thanks for the info! We will try and find some or order some online as we didn't have room in our baggage to bring it home. Or Maybe we could go back for another vacation instead😀
If you head back to San Diego in the Gaslamp District, you need to go to the Ghirardelli Store, or you can go to San Francisco to the Original Ghirardelli Store. You won't be disappointed it's an ice cream and chocolate lover's paradise.
Thanks for the suggestion, we have seen it but never been in! Andrew has a really sweet tooth, so i am sure we will give it a try😀
There's also a nice little fancy dessert shop called Sucre in the French Quarter.
Edit: Oops, it appears they moved over to Magazine St. since the last time I was there, it's not too far away from the French Quarter. You can take the Charles St. trolley and get off at 6th St.
Thanks for the suggestion. We actually stumbled upon Sucre just after we had been to Cafe Du Monde (and we were full of beignets😂). The cakes and macarons looked delicious. Unfortunately we didn't get chance to go back. Next time we will try.
I absolutely love New Orleans. Hope you tried the oysters…on the half shell or charbroiled. NOLA has the best.
We also had a great time in New Orleans! Thanks for watching
I may or may not have gone to cafe du monde in the middle of the night to take advantage of their open hours.
Relieved you got the real deal this time.
Lol! yes we went at both ends of the day just to check they were still open...Wink Wink
NOW ya get it. Be careful breathing in the powdered sugar though 😂
Cafe Du Monde was delicious, we are still trying to get the powdered sugar out of our clothes😀
The coffee has chicory in it. It takes the bitterness out of it. The Cafe Du Monde makes their own brand of a variety of coffee that you can buy to make at home.
The coffee was very nice! and worked so well with the sweetness of the beignets.
Now you understand why southerners are known for their food, not just their hospitality. Southern food is the best food in America and I've traveled most of the states. Always happy to come back home and have good food.
California prices are outrageous on everything.
Southern food is truly something special. It's the perfect combination of flavors and comfort. Makes me crave some right now.
If you're in SoCal, you can get really good beignets at Shenandoah cafe in Long Beach.
Thanks for the recommendation! we will look Shenandoah cafe up as it not far away from us..

Oh my goodness I'm ready to go to New Orleans.
It was a great experience! We would have loved to have spent more time in New Orleans, The food was delicious but at least it gives us a reason to return😉
I prefer cafe au lait with beignets at Cafe du Monde. Not a huge fan of chicory...but it's great to give you a jolt at the start of the day. New Orleans is amazing November thru May. Once it gets hot, not so much.
Thanks for the advice! we didn't know about cafe au lait, Next time we would love to try that with the beignets. it sounds delicious.
I have had bread pudding before that was made with beignets. There is another place here that uses Krispy Kreme doughnuts to make bread pudding too.
We tried some Bread Pudding as well, but with Kripsy Kreme, that sounds AMAZING!!!! we will upload the video with more Southern desserts from New Orleans Soon...
I want to see these two go to Brennan's and derail on Bananas Foster!!! LOL
Video hopefully coming soon!
Awesome!@@thebritstry
Next door to that shop, they make pralines in the window and you can buy them fresh. Yum.
Thanks for the mouth-watering recommendation! Those pralines were delicious. Thanks for sharing!
The Simpsons best illustrated how beignets taste. Homer, Bart and Lisa tried it, and were hooked. I love beignets, they're a guilty pleasure for me.
Lol! we haven't seen that! we will take a look. Lol! We went more than once... I think we still have sugar powdered on most of our clothes!
Have you two gone to a Seafood boil, or a crayfish boil mmm if like flavor and crab lobster potatoes Smoked beef sausage
We may have tried a Crawfish boil which scared one of us to death!😂 We will upload the video soon. Thank you for watching
Only thing I can say is you're welcome, lol I'm so happy u took my suggestion
Thanks for the idea! They are delicious..
Anytime
Bread pudding at any of the better restaurants near there. Maybe Arnauds, or Two Sisters, or Antoine’s. Or try Bananas Foster at one of those restaurants.
Thanks for sharing! We tried so many food in New Orleans and the city is great! We have more videos to come, with more desserts.
You guys need to try Javier’s in Newport Beach not far from you.
Thanks for the tip! we will check them out! what do you recommend we try there?
The crab and shrimp enchiladas are great. But hard to find a bad thing on the menu. The restaurant is on pch and the view is great
I love beignets! Cafe dumond is the best
They were amazing! we may have gone more than once:)
If you like Mexican food, try sopapillas. Same consistency as a beignet only you bite off a corner and pour a little honey in them; No powdered sugar.
That sounds delicious! we will have to try and find them in San Diego.... Thanks for the suggestion..
As a N.O. native I don't wanna say "NO, YOU HAVE TO GET BEIGNETS FROM..."but I will recommend getting 2-3 suggestions from locals and comparing. The fun lies in the hunt.
Thanks for watching! let us know where we should try next time we visit!
