@@H.K.5 Nathan wasn't a villain, just a good guy with a shitty temper that nearly blinded Ashley. He did twat Danny Baldwin one, though (Jury's still out on whether it was deserved or not)
I remember Barbara Knox paying tribute, saying he acted with his eyes. There was that close up still of his eyes over the end credits when he was released from court following his trial, and you could tell he meant business. Even when he spoke relatively calmly, he could still be menacing, like the two hander with Rita when he called on her late at night. Hard to believe Mark Eden’s 90-odd now.
Yeah, if you walk into the old rovers the toilets are on the right, yet there's a house attached to the pub on the right...I think they've sorted it out now.
Ken and Mike had plenty of practice belting each other so i would've loved to have seen them temporarily put their differences aside and give Alan a hiding.
I remember this when it was first aired, haven't seen Coronation Street in about 30 years. At the time I thought it was one of the most ridiculous scenes that I'd ever seen. Mark Eden was nearly 60, (although the character was late 40s), and Pivaro's character was a young, fit, well build former Para and boxer. It was like 'Duckworth' had to stand there for ages, waiting for the next half-arsed punch to be 'waved' lmao! God only knows what the writers were thinking about? Maybe Duckworth was the only character that they thought the viewers wouldn't mind seeing being beaten up, and they obviously wanted to create a 'hard-man' image for Eden, (no matter how preposterous it looked), for the forthcoming storyline. I think Pivaro vs Eden would have had a slightly different outcome - one with the 'hard-man' needing an ambulance lol.
Terry wouldn't last 2 mins against Phelan. Even if he bottled him from behind and had 6 of his Para mates to wear him down in an Alley, Phelan would get him same day.
Alan was one of the most believable hard men on Corrie. When he lost his temper he really was intimidating, pure rage.
Brilliant actor. The scariest villain of any soap ever!
Along with Tony Stewart, Pat Phelan and Nathan Harding.

@@Hulk2k6 I never said he was a villain, I just said he was a believable and intimidating hardman which he was.

Its amazing how more realistic the new Rovers set would look three years later

Hide your cushions when Alan Bradley comes into your house.
If this storyline was current, Terry would have a laptop and Alan would bash his head in with it, killing him.
Or not, as the case may be nowadays.
Nah, Terry, scuzzy as he is, is too chicken-shit to kill deliberately, more like whack and leave for Dead.

He's done it again? No Alf, Phyllis did, sticking her nose in

Alan battered Terry because he wanted him to keep Jenny out of he's mind games
Probably the only noble thing he did.
It looks like Alan Bradley's daughter was right and now her stupid Dad has gone and lost her all over again.
Violence will solve nothing.
Is Jenny thick ? The fruit machine wasn't even plugged in !

Great scene but those were the worst punches iv'e seen thrown on telly.
Did Jack get revenge for Terry afterwards?
@Saul Goodman Thanks
Terry duckworth should be back & if phelan was alive . Terry duckworth should take phelan out for good .
Terry got owned by an aging Alan Bradley when Terry was in his prime so would stand no chance against Phelen.
Phelan would beat Terry senseless.

Pat would take him apart. Not only tougher but much more dangerous, he killed several people and was capable of anything
