You're not a rocket scientist? Huh, I learned something new today. Pretty cool stuff. Smash.
Lol not yet anyway, never say never though right?
Not a big deal but you didn't hit the "Turn on or off" slider to off at the end of your actions; the pump will keep running and virtual switch will stay on.
Sharp eye, you're right, I did end up fixing it later on.
Would use hubitat but have basic Lutron’s. Will virtual switches to program them? Other wise have to keep with smarthings. Dont want to have to buy new kutron pro box
Makes sense, I think they are supported by Homey Pro, the Lutron that is, but I could be wrong.
Just curious. I came from Smartthings and I am now using the C-8 Pro. Unlike Smartthings when I created a routine to use with Alexa I found out that the only way to get it to work on HE was to also create a virtual switch to turn on to run a basic rule. I also had to create another basic rule to then turn off the virtual switch after 10 seconds so it would be ready to run the next time. Everything works fine with Alexa, but I am wondering if I am doing this correctly or there is a simpler way? 🤔
I'd love to help but I don't have Alexa. That being said if you send an image of the rules involved to my email in the about me page I'll see if I can help.
One important thing for me: can I use... set up etc this device with my phone ONLY? I don't know anything about coding etc... and I was wandering if I can set up EVERYTHING from my iPhone ? Computers are not my thing
As long as it is on the same network and you get the C8 you can do everything from your phone. Just don't connect the ethernet on initial power up.
I suppose you could also use a virtual momentary switch and then you don’t have to turn it back off.
Yup that works as well.
Thanks H.D.L
You're welcome Ron!
A question how do you get your Hubitat dashboard to a tablet
Please help Thanks
Log into Hubitat on your computer, go to apps, dashboard, at the bottom there is a link. You'll need to copy that, and put it into the settings on your device.
Thanks for information I will try this and I hope in the future you would make a video on that subject Thanks so much
What do you use to turn on the hose?
I have a reservoir with a hydroponic pump, I mix and fill them about once every 6 weeks.
@@HouseDadLife I'm trying to find a way to fill my fountain from a hose bib connection that can be controlled via ZigBee or ZWave.
They do make a zigbee ball valve controller I did see somewhere.
