Thanks for this how to video. Yes, I could have simply read the instructions (and I will) but seeing someone go through the steps with straight forward demo is just so refreshing.
My Delta faucet has had issues turning completely off for a year. Received a replacement part from Delta's lifetime warranty free, but dreaded messing around with this fix. I followed along with you and it went smoothly. You are direct and to the point. THANK YOU!!
Thank you for posting this video. I've been scared to do this repair but couldn't stand my leaky faucet any longer. As soon as I watched it I felt confident that I could do it and there wouldn't be water shooting everywhere.
Thank you for this video. We had the problem of the delta single handle kitchen faucet just leaking and leaking and very difficult to turn it off. Purchased the part online anf followed your video and all is well with the kitchen faucet. Thank you again.
This looks very similar to my Delta faucet. I can get the bonnet nut off in order to get access to the cartridge. There is no cap or other part to remove before the bonnet nut. I am going to try some BP blaster to see if that helps.
I installed a new Delta single handle pull out kitchen faucet B4311LF. It has very low pressure on both hot and cold. Barely 1.3 gpm, should be 1.8 gpm. I flushed supply lines, removed the strainer to check for debris, it was clear and clean. Is there any adjustment in the value stem to increase pressure? Could it be the value stem? Does the value stem have a strainer?
I have a sideways trim cap. Do you think it is the pull-off kind? I think not since it is diagonal so must be unscrewed, but it is stuck sold. How do I loosen it up? Anyone?
I changed the cartridge and I still have a drip. I noticed there is a little film of rust on the white part where the orange seal seats up. Any suggestions? Loved your video!
Thank you so much for doing this video!!! I was skeptical that I could do this repair, but after seeing you do it I now have no doubt. But let me ask, should the o-ring be replaced at the same time?
Thank you Tech Angel. BUT...1) There is no such thing as a just a "3" Allen wrench. You can use a 3 mm (MILLIMETER) Allen Wrench OR a 1/8 inch Allen wrench to take off the handle. 2) The trim cap and bonnet nut MAY be permanently adjoined, therefore you may have to just loosen it carefully at the trim cap, recommend using a cloth to prevent damage to the surface of the cap, 3) My Liverpool ACE hardware pro says put a little silicone grease on the o-ring at the bottom of the cartridge so it lasts longer and seals better, and 4) my (RP50587) cartridge completely fell apart when I took it out of the package, luckily I had ordered two, so now I will send in both the old one and the pieces of one new cartridge for, hopefully free replacements. You are still our Angel.

Good tip!
It's also recommended to apply silicone grease around the bushing seal to keep it pliable. Also be sure to fully tighten down the bushing.
Great input!
Hurray!! That's the exact faucet I have with the exact same issue. Thank you!

Not that I'm aware of - just that slider to adjust the hot water mix..
First thing is to cover the water drain in the sink so you allen nut won't fall into it. Thanks for the video.

You may want to try removing the rust with double-zero steel wool.
@@Jean78578 thank U!

You should not have to unless it looks in poor condition. You could clean off any mineral deposits and add a little grease to it..
@@Jean78578 Thank you. You're the best ❤️!
Very helpful. Nice work.

The handle definitely does NOT lift right off. Set screw removed, pried on for ever, still the handle remains in place.
Maybe gently tap it with a rubber hammer..
had same issue, turn it 360 degrees it will break free. Dont hit it with a hammer!
Thank you for sharing!!!
You are so welcome!
Sometimes, you just need to clean the area that was opened. Ensure that you tighten it down just right. Save yourselves 50 bucks.
Good tip. But, before paying, contact Delta as they may provide a free one..
Nice j ob.... thnx
Welcome!
The $50 semi-annual tax on buying a Delta faucet.
True. But, depending on the age of your faucet, Delta may provide the cartridge.
Mine was 9 years old and Delta sent me a new cartridge for free when I called them.
Thank you
