Known as Halong Bay on land, Ninh binh has all of the dramatic scenery of its seaside counterpart, but instead of the ocean, these sharp limestone cliffs are divided by bright green rice fields and meandering rivers. Once the historic first capital of Vietnam, this picturesque landscape is also dotted with historic palaces and temples. On our second day in Ninh Binh, we hiked up to Hang Mua viewpoint before doing another boat ride along the Tom Coc river and here’s how it went…
