A lot of Mexicans have a hard time with the beans part...because they expect beans to be savory. But full disclosure: I am Vietnamese and in live in LA. We Viets have almost the same dessert. Mexicans and Filipinos are somehow related. The Spanish colonized are country for 333 years. That being said, they left some, if not a lot, of things here. In fact, I am from Zamboanga City. We speak Chavacano here. I can understand 75% of Spanish words since its too similar. We also have a song here that goes; “El chavacano que umpoquito Español” which translates to “Chavacano is a little bit Spanish”. So happy to see the moms enjoy Jollibee. Its not just a fastfood here. It’s part of our history and culture.

I've never heard of Jollibee! Filipino fast food? I want to try NOW. We get nothing cool in New England. No Carls Jr. No Jollibee. We get a million and 1 Dunkins with an extra 2 million Dunkins across the street from those.

I am Mexican, living in Texas. But lived in the Philippines for 5 years. Jollibee was never my favorite since since my palate was not used to "sweet spaghetti". I can say one thing, if I had it infront of me, I would DEFINITELY eat it this time. I miss the Philippines DEARLY. Thus, what I miss the most, is their Halo-halo!YUMMM!!! Arriba las Filipinas! :)

They were not the biggest fan of the Filipino snacks episode but at least Jollibee somehow redeemed that. I was hoping that they at least like some of the menu because Mexicans are afterall our long lost brothers and sisters in that part of the world. It is to be expected that not all will like the spaghetti and palabok because they are truly made for the Filipino tongue but at least they tried without disrespecting the food and the culture of where it came from.

there is a Filipino ice cream dessert by the Magnolia brand (one of many flavors): Corn and Quezo (Cheese)... I haven't tried it. That seems Strange, but I guess people like it. A Halo Halo or anything with Ube, is always cool.

I love Jollibee. They had a couple of locations in Honolulu and one in San Jose that I went to. Try the banana ketchup, it is not on the menu but they have it. What I found odd is they don't have biscuits or rolls for dipping into the gravy. You're just supposed to dip the chicken into the gravy. The Spaghetti is something would serve a young child. The Palabok Fiesta is pretty good, try it sometime.

I like to put my peach mango pies in the freezer. It takes on a different texture when slightly frozen.
