How to learn new pieces FAST

Excellent advice, especially concerning rhythm. I spent way too much time as a teenager just “winging” the rhythm by what I thought I was hearing in recordings. Finally forcing myself to actually breakdown the rhythm at the beginning of learning a piece paid dividends. I make sure every student of mine subdivides and knows exactly the rhythm of whatever they are playing, no matter their level.

Hi my friend very helpful tips. I have just learned violin and can play a piece but really struggling to do a vibrato. Your lesson on vibrato has really helped me to move my fingers to vibrato the strings. You are a great violinist teacher.
