Let's take a moment to realize that they made HD models for these characters just for a few lines in Brewsters. Even though it's brief, it's nice to see them again.
Quite sure the HD models were already made for Amiibo Festival for Wii U.
Not sure if they're the same models though, they probably improved them.
Well its probably due to the dlc also, you can make Vacation homes for them

For those who dont know, Nat and Chip held the bug and fishing tournies! But after you gave them a caught bug or fish, they woulld EAT IT IN FRONT OF YOU. Im happy I have the option to sell captured creatures during these events. Thanks for the upgrade Nintendo.
Nat wouldn't, but he would practically drool all over the thought, while trying to play it off as misspeaking.
I always felt so bad for the fish when Chip would eat them.
Nat didn't but it was very obvious he wanted too. Probably after we left his tent. But for Chip... I felt bad when giving him a fish... poor things.

I dont think so, not always at least. Another comment said the isabelle that digby brings and the isabelle you invite say different things, so im guessing that means isabelle doesnt bring digby.

There is special dialogue that plays for each partner that comes with the special characters. For example, the Isabelle that Digby brings along does not say the same things that Isabelle says if you invite only her. Might be worth looking into.
I love that Kapp'n brought his whole family, his boat has a drawing from his daughter in it, so I was hoping they would at least make an appearance in the cafe.

Its nice to see these guys again its like coming back to chat with an old friend you haven't seen in years just listening to these characters gives me so much nostalgia from City Folk especially Dr. Shrunk talking about Frillard like he was his dad, Dr. Shrunk is definitely an underrated character.
Right?? My man's over here wishing that his old audience had Brewster's coffee so they wouldn't sleep during his shows meanwhile I used to spend all of my money to hear his jokes. Seriously, his shows were and still are one of my favorite things about City Folk

@@pathetic2399 I’m..*very much aware* it’s a video game. I’m just saying it’s a strange character quirk that Kattie is old enough to travel alone and drink coffee but still speaks like a child. You’d think after all the traveling she’s done she’d have a better vocabulary…but then again a lot of AC characters have strange “quirks” in their dialogue, so maybe it’s that way so you could recognize/remember her character better.
That's How Flick gets off his ship with CJ ;_; He admits not only that they sleep in separate rooms, but also that they're so immersed in their own passion that they barely interacts at home and moments like this when they just drink coffe together is a rare ocurrence.

Yo, there are plenty of devoted couples that live separately or without interacting much. Just because they don't often share rooms or they get too busy with their devotions doesn't mean they can't love each other with all their hearts.
i originally got amiibo cards to kick out a villager, but i'm obsessed with the lore. i invite them to the roost, talk with them until i've been through all the dialogue twice (to make sure i didn't miss anything), do a bit more internet research, and then build them a vacation home in HHP that includes every bit of info i can find from their past.
massive credits to nintendo for being consistent with 20 years of lore and continuing to build on it. like flick and nat??? there's an analytical essay somewhere in that mess. it not only makes gameplay more engaging but it makes the player more emotionally-invested.
Now that i think about it.
In Wild Wolrd/City Folk, when you have a better relationship with Sable, she tells us most of the time how she deeply desires to quit for a moment her job and take a sip of coffee or some sort of break.
Now, after 16 years, she was finally able to take a cup of coffee with her 2 sisters...
Man... Good for her :)
Kk slider is a nudist, and isabelle is keeping her eyes closed because she's uncomfortable.

Any of the special characters can visit the cafe without an Amiibo, but the chance is very rare.

There used to be a monkey villager that looked identical to him! His name was Champ. He was only in one game though. I think it was AC City Folk.
@@sweetpetit There are some theories that say they're the same character, Champ only appears in games were Porter isn't present (Wild World and City Folk) and his catchphrase is "choo-choo" like a train!

I have the Katie card as well because well 1. that's also my name and 2. she was adorable but sadly I was never able to actually let her live on my island. I'm guessing she's only now used for the cafe which is a shame. I'd put her on my isle if I could :/

@@savageratentertainment ohh my bad lol. But yeah you can invite any amiibo. I did with digby and cyrus and some other villagers. You can also give villagers on your island these souvenir chocolates and they'll come visit and you can give them a house
I really love how they brought all the NPCs back. And I enjoy that they gave some reasons as to why some NPCs might not be on the island, such as Porter loving trains, and there's no need for trains on the island; Joan isn't able to sell the turnips because the years have been hard on her, but she can still be busy harvesting them. I do wish we still had Pelly, Peggy, and Pete, instead of just having the postcards.
One thing I love about K.K is he never forgets. He never forgets that Brewster took care of him. Even now that he is a big star he acknowledges that Brewster was there for him. Another interesting piece of dialogue was in new leaf when K.K talks about the first game how he used to play in front of the train station and how Brewster gave him a better spot. The writers are brilliant with K.K
Animal crossing can only give you so much, game after game, if these little wonders from the past were balled up together in one game there wouldn’t be enough space for newer adventures ✨ ❤️ remember it’s a newer beginning each time “new leaf” , “new horizons” we’re all just…. crossing…

Here's all the characters not in new horizons for people who dont know them:
Blanca: visited the town in all the other games except new leaf, where she hosted April fools day. In the first game you could draw her a face.
Copper: was the police officer in the other games.
Booker: was also a police officer.
Celeste: worked at the museum with blathers. In wild world and city folk, you could make constellations in the observatory, and in new leaf, you could make your own museum exhibits.
Chip: the original fishing tourney host
Nat: the original bug off host.
Digby: only showed up in new leaf where he worked for happy home academy.
Dr. Shrunk: a comedian in city folk and the host of a club in new leaf. He would provide emotions for the player.
Gracie: the owner of a famous and expensive shop called graciegrace.
Kappn's family: appeared in new leaf at the island. You could buy items from grams, leilani could take you on tours, and you could sell items to Leila to get an extremely low amount of bells back.
Harriet: owner of shampoodle where she would do the player's hair.
Joan: the original turnip seller.
Katie: just a kid who would show up in town sometimes.
Katrina: would tell fortunes and lucky items.
Lyle: worked at happy home academy.
Pelly: worked at the post office day shift.
Phyllis: worked at the post office night shift.
Pete: delivered the mail.
Phineas: gave out balloons and other items in city folk.
Wisp: could turn into any character in new leaf with an amiibo.
Wendell: visited you in dreams.
Really goes to show how much nintendo left out of new horizons...
Wisp, Harriet, Katrina and Celeste are in New Horizons
- Katrina with her usual role
- Celeste shows up during meteor showers and gives you a star themed recipe
- Harriet teaches you some hairstyles
- And Wisp first appearance was actually in Population Growing, where he did the exact same thing he does in New Horizons, showing up at night and getting scared of you leading into a little minigame

I’m so, so happy to see so many familiar faces! A lot of these characters don’t have much of a role in ACNH now but I’m still very grateful that Nintendo put in the effort for us to see them ingame, even if it’s just once (though I do wish they had more of a role in NH)…
I got the 2Ds and ACNL during 2015 for Christmas and kept playing till 2019. The first game console I ever got and the first video game I ever played… so happy to have gotten a Switch and ACNH this Christmas to! I even bought ACTTC/ACCF for the Wii but I didn’t get it on the launch release or during Christmas- lol. I played ACWW on my cousins Ds before but I’m pretty sure it’s broken so hm…
Man I went really off track… But um… yeah! I don’t really know why I’m commenting this but just wanted to leave this here so I can look back at this in a few years time :D!
