People using Twilight against Robert Pattinson being Batman. is like McDonald's as your first job, then you go to college get a degree in business and do internship. You go apply for business job and they tell you only reason they can't hire you is because you once upon a time worked at McDonalds .

Supernatural fan like me too huh. ;) You know it's obvious whose bitter fanbase especially always wanted to see him fail. But "she" is apparently going to be acting in that charlie's angels reboot like that is going to be so much better since how well do reboot movies really do compared to the original ones, with the exceptions of rarities like the IT remake but the IT remake actually had a line of other quality actors/actresses/producers/crew-workers in there so..... and if S.Meyer had her way, she will be redoing this whole twi thing with this gender-swapped reboot and I think I could already guess who could possibly sign on for this since "she" is that desperate.
I mean quality underrated actors like Jensen is a batman fan himself (except that he has never really made any significant regrettably wrong career decisions unlike Robert I hate to say this so the latter will have to make a lot more effort to prove his mantle but he has actually been working out and taking fighting lessons even way before this batman announcement since I do follow his news), so I can see why Rob wouldn't want to pass out on this chance and if directors like Christoper Nolan and Matt Reeves want him for their movies, then they must obviously see something in him that his haters don't see, one cannot please everyone anyways.

Pattinson knows how to act, I've seen snippets of his acting since Twilight, from movies which he has said he was more involved with creating his character. Therefore, I do think Twilight would have been a more serious movie, had his higher-ups listened to him, one that adults could respect as well, not just teenagers.
I would love to see a Twilight movie with the romance he describes in this video. Actually, the first twilight movie is my favourite, I don't even tend to rewatch the others anymore and I do believe it's because it seems more passionate and brooding.
If you have seen Pattinson in Maps To The Stars, then you know he can act a romance with a character who is neurologically unstable. He and Mia Wasikowska were more relatable and believable in just one exchange during Maps To The Stars than pretty much the entire cast of Twitlight.
So yeah, long story short, if you have not seen Maps To The Stars, do so. Claims that Pattinson can act have a lot more weight in that film. And whilst I cannot speak to the resemblance between his part in Maps and the romance he is describing in this video, it does seem a lot more grown-up and *real* in Maps.
My favorite is Remember Me...that movie made me cry so much and he was so good in it
After recently rewatching Twilight as an adult, I thought his performance really killed it for me. He was awkwardly gloomy in a teen-drama way.. which didn't really suit a person who should be 100+ years old. For me, the character should have been a bit wiser in a sense and maybe a bit more light-hearted. I feel like you learn how to be more broadminded as you get older.... you smile at and appreciate the small things. Might just be me, but the rest of the Cullens family was far better acted out in my opinion... So I guess I agree?

Pattinson is a good actor, don't wanna hear otherwise. Edward is literally written as a dude who abhors his very nature and exists solely for the rest of his family. He finds a human who he literally wants to devour and finds himself attracted to her. Like, he literally knows that any slip up and he'll kill her and fall back into drinking human blood.
Idk, he only truly becomes happy when Bella stops being a little bitch of a human.

As far as I understand- Rob took the roll in Twilight because if he didn’t, he wouldn’t have a job as an actor.
He was going to quit acting all together.

But the point is..
He is a great person with a great personality and (love it or hate it) Twilight gave him a push in his career and he is a great actor despite all the hate on Twilight.
Robert is an amazing person with amazing acting skills. You can’t shame him because he made one decision in his life that changed your opinion on him. He was in one movie (or a few) that may have a lower rating, but some people really like it. So maybe instead of spreading all this hate on the subject can’t we meet in the middle and say that Rob is a good person, who just happened to end up in a story almost everyone hates to some extent.
Twilight is another conversation on its own, but personally I really like the series, I just think it’s important to know where some things were right in the relationships and some.. maybe crossed the line a little bit.

Not a fan of the Twilight movies, but I love the books and I think he is EXACTLY right. The Character he was trying to portray was right in line with what the author wrote, she even wrote it from his character's perspective to give him a good insight (Midnight Sun). Sucks that the movies were so embarrassing and lame. He is a superb actor, and he got really into the Edward role, he wrote and performed two of the songs in the movies and the lyrics show his understanding of the character.

Sunstarhaven Bella and Edward are always joking and being ‘cute’ on the books (the first one, at least). Idk why the directors and producers made the movie so dull and over dramatic (like the ‘you’re a vampire’ scene, on the books they’re just driving around in the car and having fun on that part and was prettry casual lol). I mean Rob proves that he's good actor by playing Edward which the role is not his exact personality which we call it as acting and look that he handled it with his Criticism which is nice. So, there's no problem really. For me personally I appreciate it. He has good journey I think when he now finally get to the movie that is quite top notch but when it comes to Twilight, we talk different things: interest and market.
I appreciate that, as an actor, he took a pretty illogical and ridiculous character and tried to understand him.

twilight got a lot of hate because so many tween girls and a few moms were obsessed with it. the first two movies were actually decent imo, they’re better than their book counterparts at least. robert pattinson is a great actor and i think he did the character of Edward as much justice as he could. i have no doubt he’ll be a great batman
