Hi Becky. Thanks for this awesome video 🔥. Can't afford the course just yet but maybe there will be a discount for Blackfriday ? Take care Big ups from France🙌🏻 🇫🇷 David
And there’s people thinking that being a DJ is just putting a banger on. Can’t even wrap me head around how ridiculously complicated it is when you do it proper. You make it look like a walk in the park 🙌
You are amazing! I’ve been DJing DnB for a while but need the technical guide to really get myself up to the next level. I’m excited to try your course.
Brilliant! Glad you liked the video and got what you needed. 🥰 Great to hear that you're interested in the course. I aim to add even more to it over time as well. 😅
Thanks for this. I've just got back into djing and have always done house, but a new found love for drumb and bass means I want to mix that. Some good tips here. Thank you
As someone who loves dnb and has no desire to dj, keep on making these tutorials! This is a fascinating window into how dnb artists perform on stage and I am loving it!
everytime i watch these dj vids you post up, its tempting me MORE AND MORE into investing in some budget gear to get me started lol great vid as always!
Hahaha dooo itttt. Can always resell if you want. That's what I do with my gear. Hold onto it for a bit and then sell if it I'm not using it or if I want to upgrade.
❤ You're natural at teaching. I found it very easy to follow what you were saying, a skill that is often missing from "other" tutorials. Keep up the great work.
wow, really amazing video, I just started producing DNB (Neurofunk) and my issue is the phrasing, because I fiddled around for hours to match a beat inside my project to become a liking and the fact, that you also DJ makes me more realize how essential it is to create songs, that are good to blend/mix, I appreciate your tutorial here, because it gives me the idea how to span my songs throughout my actual project.
That was awesome. It's always interesting to hear someone describe it from the ground up cos everyone describes it a little differently. This was very concise and clear. The bass switching was demo'd very well too 👏 CDJ mode though 🙈How and why 😂I suppose I started in the 80s on vinyl so.....if I put my hand on a deck and it carried on playing my brain would immediately think "somethings broken".
Hello! This video was very helpful and i would love to purchase the course, however I am extremely new to DJing and creating electronic music, so spending a bunch of money on hardware and courses isn't necessarily in the picture at the moment. What would he a good starting point, of course other than your other videos, which i plan to watch.
Have you spent much time with STEMS yet? They seem to be all the rage right now and I'm curious if you've incorporated stem mixing into your techniques.
@@BeckySaifMusicIve updated rekordbox and enabled but haven't spent much time with it yet. I need to get on the ball though because I have an event coming up!
As someone who hasn’t touched DJ equipment since the 90s, the overhead view of the mixers looks like you’re piloting a spaceship - love it. Great video. (@n2another)
@@theorycreative haha yeah it's changed a lot since the 90s. I played vinyl the other week. It was nice to remember the delecate details focussing almost entirely on beatatching.
The issue I seem to have is a lot of DNB songs don’t have that ‘extended mix’ style intros and outros to hook onto to commence mixing between tracks.. how do I get around this to have tracks build up together? How do I know where to set my cues in each song?
Mixing DNB and music in general is an ongoing process of evolution I think; especially considering the wide range of technology available today compared to two decades ago. Various genres demand different techniques and each DJ has their unique approach to mixing which is what I love about mixng, There is still so much to learn for people like me and for beginners this video is brilliant. Great Work!@@BeckySaifMusic
Hello Becky. I recently found your channel and you make great content. I'm still a newbie DJ. I've been learning for a bit more than a year but I've always mixed trance. I discovered DnB three months ago and I loved it. I'm trying to mix DnB since then. It's not as easy as trance as DnB has no intros and outros to mix in and out. EQing isn't so useful 😂 I'm trying to use loops, echo out and effects. I love the technique of double drops. It gives so much energy with compatible tracks. Thanks for making this video. I'd love to see more content like this. ❤😊
Very eloquent & beautiful to boot. It's very soulless though just removing the bass like that. Basses and breaks should be mixed together, no the wonder d&b DJs sets sound so lifeless these days, just switching from one track to another.

That'll be 20 years of doing it. I guess it's just second nature to me now. Although the main goal of the DJ is to put a banger on 😉
thats the key "when you do it proper". Just mixing 2 songs isnt the hard part
@@BeckySaifMusic The goal is to make "putting a banger on" look easy ;)
This isn't really helpful for a beginner.
Please keep making theses type of videos. I’m fairly new and it’s great to learn from someone with as much experience as you❤️
