I saw him with Freddy Koella. That tour was when Charlie split and Bob stopped playing guitar. I think Richie Hayward from Little Feat was on drums. There seemed to be tension between Freddy and Larry Campbell's approach. It was the end of the Larry era, some killer moments...High Water version from Niagara Falls August 23 2004? They go over the falls in a barrel, absolute violent face melting version.
The August 23rd High Water version is killer. I saw them at Ricoh Coliseum Toronto earlier in that tour I think in the spring. Aug. 23rd was Niagra Falls I think. Great shows. They played Bob Seger's Get Out of Denver in Detroit@@joegazzo9969
I saw that show. Absolutely loved it! Street Legal is a marvelous album, one of my all time favorites, and that tour was marvelous. Adding the backup singers was great. Some of the other instrumental stuff was pretty fine too. The idea that he was "trying to be Neil Diamond" at that time is amusing. Not my interpretation of it at all, but everyone has a right to their own opinion.
@@MichaelPetrone-ng5yx - Yeah. Well, a lot of people tend to object to any kind of a change in an artist's presentation...and that's been happening with Bob Dylan all through his entire career. I thought adding those female vocalists was just great.
Such a great book.

I went to that Niagara Falls show too. That Oakes theatre or whatever it was called was such a cool, unique venue.
I think that was August 23, 2003. A great recording of that show is available.
Also may have been Tommy Morrongiello on guitar either with or instead of Freddy

I saw Dylan in concert in 1978 when he was trying to be Neil Diamond.
