    Wow, I'm in love with your classes. Please, just keep it up. Have you wondered about teaching us how to effectively write all these characters? Or at least, you could teach us how to write some verbs? Oh, come on, please.
    I love your channel to death.

    Because I understand the grammar and meaning of each word and now I can format my new sentence. This is the best of teaching Chinese. Just like teach a child, it is a natural way. Most teachers translate it in English structure that is confusing because it doesn't make sense. English grammar cannot apply here with Chinese sentence. Best teacher and I am happy to found you. Finally.

    谢谢, I love your videos. This one is nice because 吃 sounds like ‘chew’ in English. I have an intermediate knowledge of Japanese and I have to say that it really helps with beginning Chinese since so many characters are shared and many of the Chinese particles have equivalents in Japanese.

    Nice lesson!
    If your software allows, would it be possible to show how the characters are written?
    Perhaps not. That is why you use the chalk board (blackboard).
    From other lessons, you gave the general advice to start at the top left an then work across and down.
    谢谢

      +Scott Cline I am glad you remember my advice! :) Would you like it better with software to show how than my handwriting to show how to write?

    • @scottc441
      @scottc441 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Yi Zhao (Homemade Chinese) I prefer seeing you write it. : )
      May I ask a question?
      In English, we can write in letters in many different styles. I am wondering if Mandarin characters are the same.
      Seeing how 福 fú is written on Spring Festival decorations, I have great difficulty recognizing it.
      Can you comment?

    • @silentwatcher1455
      @silentwatcher1455 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Scott Cline Chinese characters can not be written in different styles. Chinese calligraphy may look different from ball pen written Chinese characters, but differences are on line widths and line ends. Chinese characters may still be written using brush.

    One of my asian friends came up to me years ago and told me my surname sounds like eat rice or this thing people say to each other before meals, kinda like bon appetit. Makes sense... and yeah, my surname if said quick enough I guess sounds pretty close. I guess I'm Roy Eat Meal.
