Your boat is stunning in silver. I do not want to knock HH because it appears that they will or have corrected issues with the Wynn's boat. Yes, warranty repairs and fixes are fine, because the often the root of the problem is not the boat or the construction but faulty supplies and attention to details of bringing it all together. Seems to be a common in both Boat and RV construction. Hope it sails as nice as it looks!
Agree the boat is going to look stunning. Warranty issues are definitely a concern. They’re unfortunately an issue for all boat builders, fingers crossed we don’t have any major issues.

Love the colour!! A boat is a personal choice that reflects who you are and what you are chasing 👍 I am keen to understand more about the stray current solution/alarm. I am trying to understand a setup that can integrate into the czone for awareness vice protection purposes
My understanding of the stray current solution is wiring the boat differently - specifically the hybrid drive cooling pumps. The alarm we discussed was measuring current at the large hull anode and it was linked into the C Zone. As I understand it, if the anode is getting eaten faster than it should an alert activates. All comments come with the disclaimer that I’m the customer asking questions in a field I’m not an expert and I’m not the boat builder. Hope that helps.

@@TheSailingFamily Hi Seth, so it when I asked these exact technical questions to you when we were considering an HH ourselves, I communicated to you my concerns of panel durability and their ability to actually produce the power being discussed. Nice cat. Thanks. (Perhaps not my thing, looks a bit flashy for me, even if I do win the lottery) With the performance version I would worry about those underwater appendages. Firstly, you can’t beach the boat…intentionally or not. Those rudders look great, but a lot bigger than most, sure that will help with control in sketchy situations…but very vulnerable to a collision. I would want a lifting rudder. Likewise the prop shaft. I would have gone for a folding prop, feathering props can still catch ropes, and I do wonder if the rope cutter will work if you catch a rope when sailing, ie the prop is stationary. If I was looking at hybrid drive, it would be electric motors and generator. You could even have pod motors that lift / tilt out of the water. Lifted you may be able to avoid all electric earthing contact with the sea. And of course be able to beach and clear ropes.
Agree. as to your dinghy everyone uses the same wheels, I think they could be better as those ones sink in soft sand. better off having a balloon type wheel that rides on top of sand. it would be full of air, like a wheel barrow type wheel sort of.
We’ve done so much work on this topic!!!!! I have a range of different manufacturers wheels, plus we’ve built a few different versions ourselves too. In general, inflatable wheels work better and diameter over 265mm is better. Balloon style like you mention would be better in really soft sand, but are too hard to neatly stow. We think a 265mm inflatable is the best compromise, then trying to make it disappear into the transom is the next trick.
HH have learned a lot about the stray current issues, the fridge overheating (more ventilation now) and the battery wiring set-up. I’m comfortable those issues have been solved for future boats.
No they don't have "lots of trouble" they have fairly normal levels of new boat issues. Especially for an entirely new system. There is one major issue. All of these issues are being dealt with under warranty. As they should be with additional provision being made for the major issue. They are having zero issues with the brand.
The Wynns knew a lot about cats when they took delivery their no dagger board HH44 hull #3 and so did their viewers. In addition to their previous cat where they had a huge learning curve, they also owned a large Bounder Motor Home for several years. There is "aways" something going south in a motor home. It's one thing or another so you carry a good set of tools, spare parts and manual's, It's a big advantage for the Wynns to have had that very relatable motorhome/boat systems experience. If you have watched their vids they don't get rattled they go into the Wynn analysis mode and start making phone calls to thire knowledgable support group. As we have seen Jason and Nikki are very good at diagnosing the hiccup/s and HH has proven to be available via cell phone 24/7. That stray current issue was an elusive stinker because as we have seen in Nikki's build vids how much effort HH puts into installing the duel hybrid electrical systems. Now that HH and the Wynns are schooled about how much air flow this particular refrigerator needs in its current location, the12v battary connectivity set up and the amount of engine components grounding. Bottom line. The Wynns have a Hugh following in the boating community and with there great videos everyone will be a little wiser about there vessel systems. Lots of good points there. The draws all have a locking latch that just clicks in - like a tongue going into a slot with two ball bearings. I’m also concerned about this in really heavy weather. I would prefer to see a positive lock that you need to press to open or close. I’m pushing on this topic. Clear carbon finish - Paul Hakes tells me the finish on the HH66 with a clear carbon hull has lasted more than 6 years in the sun. I’m expecting every couple of haul outs will involve spraying more clear coat on all the clear carbon areas, but time will tell. I love the look even if it turns out to be less practical.
Beautiful boat. The two or three problems on my list with HH are: 1. Solar Panel quality - per the Wynn's troubles with their panels - which they describe as "melting" in the heat. They mention HH are using another manufacturer, so I hope HH pre-testing process has improved. 2. Sun in the Salon. Current swept-back windows might be fashionable (to some. I prefer the forward-tilting explorer-style windows). No visor means glare and heat in the working salon obviously. 3. No front door - in the 44? Does the 52 have a front cockpit? Not sure, but I'd recommend a Nordhaven-style half door if yes. 4. Ride Too low in the water; these are wet boats from stem to stern. HH Hulls (with generous above-the-water chines) need to be lifted much higher (2 feet) above the water - to avoid hull slap and blue and green water over the front on its travels. The argument that weight, stability, or performance mandates low ride heights, are arguments easily trumped by this design's constant maintenance as needed to clean salt off a wet boat. Leoppards seem a better design on points 2 and 4, and HH could/should do the same. Hope this helps ...
