It seems that time given, affection, and care are correlated with reciprocal behavior on the the part of the animal. Perhaps the same is true of us, with each other.
Tigers were never meant to be domesticated. Try taking an actual wild tiger outta the wild and see how that goes. These huge, wild cats did not ask to be kept behind a fence in the middle of a desert. They were built to hunt all day, not be a lap pet.
Shocking cruelty , such ignorance from these people. Why on earth are they allowed to adopt dogs, then dump them in small enclosures with an animal of a different species. In most countries this whole set up would be illegal.
I know right? These animals are in jail for life without committing any crimes. The big cats in the first story are obese, and they don't have enough space. And walking is not adequate exercise for any animal.
Its funny that these people seem to think that we dont want private people owning these animals because we want to protect them from gettibg hurt by the animals. No. We want to protect those animals from them.
The sign said, "No stupid people beyond this point." - yet stupid people live there!! Yes, I know they are trying to help discarded pets, but these animals do not look happy. There are a lot of different domestic animals, choose one of these for a pet. Wild animals are NOT pets and should not be kept in captivity under any circumstances.
Some people will buy a python then 10 years later have kids but the python is now big enough to eat the kids. So you really need to think about not today or tomorrow but later down the track when the animal is getting to a large size and what you want to do in your life in that time

Theres a fine line with exotics that they will show their true nature. God bless.😮
Suzanna and Scott I don't think should have these exotic animals as pets. They are NOT over sized dogs Scott.. And putting them on a leash right away as training. 😢 I agree so many of these should not be kept as pets. The Dingo should not be kept as a pet I understand with the albino dingo as he did not take it from the wild someone else did then he stepped up and rescued it he could not thek release it. The venomous snakes etc should not be kept as pets, I have two snakes legally (non venemous) from nieghboure they arem't in small csges and I am planning on much bigger enclosures. No big cat should be kept as pets.
I agree they should all be in the wild. No one knows how they're feeling inside & when they having an even worse day? If the animal attacks & kills which is it's natural instinct, it'll be the poor animal that is shot? God created all these beautiful animals to be where they were intended, in the wild, not in cages
There are not that experienced, for one. the woman is walking with her back to the tiger. that is the first big no-no. you learn about the panther breeds. If you can not put these cats on land where humans do not need to ever touch them, then you are not qualified to take care of that animal. keeping those big cats in cages is no good, they need large pieces of land 5 acres per cat. That is even on the small side. I bet they charge people to see the cats. that is not for the love of the animals.
I agree with everything you said. I would love to have a big cat or two, but never will because i know i would never be able to provide adequate space for them. I would want them to have at least 100 acres of mostly wooded land for them to run around in. And that would require a few miles of 20 foot very strong fence to contain them. That will never happen. I am happy with the two smaller cats who are my best friends and have way more freedom of movement than those poor obese big cats who spend most of their time in small dirt floor cages.
Kudos on a pretty balanced documentary overall... That said,, I wanted to note that the snake the Australian gentleman is handling at 1:00:56 is a diamond python, which is a non-venomous Australian species. I own some exotic reptiles as pets, all of which are captive bred and would not be considered "dangerous". There are many animals that fall under the catagory "exotic" but can make excellent pets. Many small non-venomous snakes, lizards like geckos and bearded dragons, and some amphibians as well can be very rewarding to keep. But as with any exotic, there is a lot of research that you have to put in to house, feed, handle, and care for them properly. With the right care, even a crested or leopard gecko can live 20 - 30 years and they can be much harder to rehome than dogs or cats, so make sure you are in it for the long haul before committing to owning one.
And what happens to your collection if something happens to you? Think about that and put together a plan so your animals don't end up dead because you end up dead!
@@jazzyvestin1498 This is a good point to bring up and applies to people who own cats and dogs too. I have a folder in my reptile room that reads "emergency instructions". If you have small non dangerous exotic animals that are well cared for, are legal to own and have a good plan to find them homes if something happens to you then I can tolerate and enjoy seeing exotic pets. But tigers and bears and really big animals like them do not make good pets
People should be REQUIRED to submit a continuity of care plan, just in case something happens to them! What happens if you have a heart attack? Who takes care of your tiger? Why don't these majestic cats have large areas to roam free within an enclosure? It's obscene to have these magnificent creatures being lead about, at speed, less than a dog, cat or human pace! It's so belittling, humiliating and vile to not let them have large enclosures where they can run free and play. They are taken care of but at what expense to the animals freedom. Horrible. Xx
As an Aussie in Queensland I've seen dingos on Fraser Island & in the bush as well as in Thailand. To me dingos are just older ferals which have destroyed many ancient native animals on the mainland. Dingos never reached Tasmania so certain species survived the feral holocaust. Feral cats are an issue here like feral hogs & foxs along with rabbits. Something I have noticed with our native birds is that they are moving in their traditional range. I see certain native birds & feral birds (starlings etc) that were considered southern birds are now in my area.

They do not look good and if i can see that watching this short videothen how do their owners not. And a liger, really!?! This is abuse and these people need to be treated as just that animal abusers. I have yet to see one documentary about people who own exotic animals and it always tirns into neglect abuse and some kind of tragedy. I hate all of this leave the animals alone. This is evil!! Horrible thing to do. Nature needs predators. If they are killing stock, get a pack of guardian dogs eg Anatolian shepherds or Tibetan mastiffs or Great Pyrenees , to live with your stock. Problem solved.
Exactly. That guy is a douchebag and shouldn't be selling these animals. He is misinformed about so many things and, *HE DOESN'T CARE* That's a true Hallmark of someone in the wrong profession. The things he said, on record, scare me more than any of the animals he has....
Walking tigers on a leash to give them exercise?? These animals belong IN THE WILD. Tigers need to prowl, stalk, run and swim! Walking them like some sort of circus poodle is so embarrassing. They’re all overweight and unhealthy from not being properly active.
1:05:18 okay how aree they getting away with catching them from the wild? You can keep snakes if you have a permit but you are not allowed to catch and keep wild snakes
Its equally as disturbing to see overweight big cats as to see skinny ones. I'd bet they overfeed on purpose to make the lions less athletic and more docile. It's sick either way.
These people are just dumb for doing this... I have no problem with sanctuaries where there's vast amount of land but keeping these things as pets are a problem and should not be allowed
The folks can get mad BUT if they have no habitat in the wild they will have to stay in captavity or they will die out. Simple as that. Like it or leave it
Being a snake enthusiast I noticed the first look of the snake was a ANACONDA. THE snake that ate the baboon was a Rock (Burmese) python. Who does your editing? Need to do your homework.
They should be in the wild! Not caged, that’s why they walk around all the time! They want out!! Your wife just thinks it’s cool! I realize y’all love them, but it ain’t right ! Period!!
why as an exotic pet owner would you be fighting against regulations? these are the exact type of people that are the reasons we need these laws in the first place. these people are neglectful hoarders & they’re mad that we care about the well being of their animals & neighbors, not the type of people that deserve to even have these kinds of animals. if i had an exotic animal that required extensive care i would be more than okay with jumping through whatever hoop necessary to have my deadly being. same argument for gun owners. if you possess a potentially deadly unordinary object or animal, it’s totally no brainer that you should have to have that item regulated & registered.
He says Dingo’s don’t make good pets but he is human just like all of us. If he can manage his Dingo, than any of us can and should be able to put in the effort to do so if we can give it the proper environment and care. Including Ferrets. I sell Ferrets in Japan.
He is a qualified behaviourist. As a qualified behaviourist myself I can tell you many dog owners have absolutely no clue with an ordinary dog, let alone a wild animal.
This is not admirable. These animals require space that these people are not able or willing to provide. If you truly love these animals it requires you to not be selfish and do what is best for them, not for you. Comparing these animals to car or tool ownership is stupidity at best. My chainsaw lacks a will of its own and lacks instinctual needs, same with a car. Wake up and stop being selfish.

This is abuse and these people need to be treated as just that animal abusers. I have yet to see one documentary about people who own exotic animals and it always tirns into neglect abuse and some kind of tragedy. I hate all of this leave the animals alone. This is evil!! Scott is ignorant!!
He is comparing oranges to apples a chainsaw to a tiger or lion at lest with a chainsaw won't kill you because you have control
The smoke out coyote dens here around my area
Horrible thing to do. Nature needs predators. If they are killing stock, get a pack of guardian dogs eg Anatolian shepherds or Tibetan mastiffs or Great Pyrenees , to live with your stock. Problem solved.
They need more land. They need 1000 acres

Pretty dumb analogy.
Very 🙄
Love the length. Love the mix of different animals.
That's not true at 36:20, what about the komodo dragon?
Exactly. That guy is a douchebag and shouldn't be selling these animals. He is misinformed about so many things and, *HE DOESN'T CARE* That's a true Hallmark of someone in the wrong profession. The things he said, on record, scare me more than any of the animals he has....
Komodo's aren't venomous, their saliva just has a bunch of bacteria and a chemical that stops wounds from closing so they can track their prey.
Walking tigers on a leash to give them exercise??
These animals belong IN THE WILD. Tigers need to prowl, stalk, run and swim! Walking them like some sort of circus poodle is so embarrassing. They’re all overweight and unhealthy from not being properly active.
It's just wrong I say wrong. Let them be free and wild.someday they will turn on you for not letting them be wild and free.
No Fucking way.....its un natural
1:05:18 okay how aree they getting away with catching them from the wild? You can keep snakes if you have a permit but you are not allowed to catch and keep wild snakes
Its equally as disturbing to see overweight big cats as to see skinny ones. I'd bet they overfeed on purpose to make the lions less athletic and more docile. It's sick either way.
These people are just dumb for doing this... I have no problem with sanctuaries where there's vast amount of land but keeping these things as pets are a problem and should not be allowed
Walking tigers on a dog 🐕 lead wtf! come on now. All of this is so wrong in so!! Many ways. 😮😢😢
A cruel man
The folks can get mad BUT if they have no habitat in the wild they will have to stay in captavity or they will die out. Simple as that. Like it or leave it
Yeah…… Sadly it’s true….
Period!!
The reason you shouldn’t hv them is because they will kill you before a dog or house cat
why as an exotic pet owner would you be fighting against regulations? these are the exact type of people that are the reasons we need these laws in the first place. these people are neglectful hoarders & they’re mad that we care about the well being of their animals & neighbors, not the type of people that deserve to even have these kinds of animals. if i had an exotic animal that required extensive care i would be more than okay with jumping through whatever hoop necessary to have my deadly being. same argument for gun owners. if you possess a potentially deadly unordinary object or animal, it’s totally no brainer that you should have to have that item regulated & registered.
22:48 she is not an albino dingo….
What a stupid analogy about risk taking from the pet store owner. It's more about protecting animals than humans from themselves- at least I hope so.
Put them animals in a zoo
De una jaula de circo aotra jaula un poco mas grandecita, pobres animales de malas manos a regulares manos, Dis sigue el encierro
Make it legal to own a tiger 🐅 that's my opinion
