Whoa! I just found your channel. I'm so beyond thrilled to see a soft-voiced creator in this space :D You have such a beautiful collection of pens and inks!
I didn’t realize your Kara’s Vertex has an aluminum section. I’m pretty sure both of mine are rubbery - now I need to go check! That Asvine keeps ending up in my Amazon cart - love the different colors they offer…
Thank you for such a thorough, accessible, and engaging video showing how the pleasure of writing comes from the interaction between nib, ink, and paper!
I loved this video even more than the others because I’ve been exploring different papers as well and you have a great mix of what I’m using and ones I haven’t used. Thank you so much for such in-depth info in your currently inked videos!
Thank you Kristin for this great video. Not only showing your pens and inks but all the paper varieties is genius. I really appreciate this extra exploration.
Hi Kristen, I am finally getting back to you about Platinum 3776. I really love it especially the crisp lines I get when writing. I am using Pilot Iroshizuku AMA-Iro which is a wetter ink. Just need to be careful not to press too hard, did a couple times and had a thick line. I like the Kelp tea, and ink in Sailor 1911 L. Great palette, even with the muted colors. May get sample of Diamine walnut.
Thanks for sharing! I am so excited about using the Platinum again, see if I like it consistently with wet inks. Using a wet ink definitely keeps me from using too much pressure while writing.
Learning how to adjust nibs is definitely a helpful skill. It boosts your confidence and willingness to try - and learn some valuable lessons if you mess up 😅

Funny, my Sailor Dragon Palace nib is messed up too! But I have no idea how to fix it. 😭Someday I'll actually try to learn.
