You know when they say everyone can be replaced well when when it comes to Val Doonican they got it wrong Val one of the best all round entertainers well ever see and hear he made this world of ours a happier place
Saw Don perform at Bournemouth IC and what you see is what you got - sheer laid back brilliance, a wonderful evening had by us all there - sadly never saw Val live on stage, much to my regret. Two legends as one - sheer magic.
I know Val was a big fan of Marty Robbins, but unfortunately Marty never liked doing live television and so we missed a chance to see them duet together or see Marty on this show with its huge audience.

True talent, not like so called entertainers nowadays ant&deck with no ability’s except stupid behaviour prattling on about shite and rubbish. These two men true entertainers
If only we could go back to Saturday night TV like this. Now we've only got the autocue queens bleedin' Ant & Dec.
Danny flowers on mandolin....joe allen on bass...what a group
A man from Ireland and another man from Texas, quite the combo right there.
Singing a song written by two men from Scotland!
@@villanelle8888 Wasn’t there a Scottish group called Texas, I think the lead singers first name was Charlene?
@@joekhatib3798 Yeah.
These two have the most compatible voices i have ever heard!!! Thanks guys for singing this one i had never heard!!!!
It was written by the Scottish duo Gallagher and Lyle. They have a lot of nice songs.
Val had some greats on as he was great himself.
Two legends in music sadly now gone.
They don’t make programs these days like they did back then.
A brilliant song and wonderful duet!!!! Two fantastic singers, also the the one playing the banjo makes a perfect trio!!
A man of few words ..Don Williams...Saw him twice in concert...

Couldn’t agree more with the comment below. What do people see in Ant and Dec. .??? Let’s have some real C and W to cheer up an unhappy world.

Val . Had the best of them on his show , not bad for a Waterford born irishman, this is a lovely song too...
It's written by Benny Gallagher and Graham Lyle and was featured on their 1976 album "Breakaway".
