I am a 75% maxed th12, to me I feel like town hall 9 and town hall 11 were the most enjoyable town halls. Town hall 9 is where you start to actually understand and incorporate some of the strategies into your own attacks (especially with the queen). While town hall 11 is where you feel like you transition into the 'higher ends' of the game which opens up to more offensive and defensive possibilities.
I personally like Town Hall 9 the most because it just looks perfect for my winterfell inspired village from game of thrones and i will never upgrade it
TH 9 was like stepping into your adulthood. Full of new possibilities, with high level heroes and army composition (back then heroes were maxed around level 50). It costed around 2 million for one wall to upgrade into level 10 same as of a level 13 wall now. It was hard but also fun
Earlier when Th 11 was the last town hall it was very enjoyable where everyone uses bowlers and drop rages and rages continuously like crazy. That OG feeling 🥹
Personally I like town hall 1, you just start the game, fight some goblins, but most importantly you catch your first look at that sweet, sweet, villager
The reason I don’t like the more recent town halls 12-15 is they don’t really match each other like 1-11 you can see how they change like the top of the town hall extending upwards slowly then the chimney thing getting bigger
TH 14 is pretty rough. Most of the upgrades last for 2 weeks. Even the pets consume a lot of time and resources as well. And you need to be competitive or else you won't be able loot that much. Even dead bases are really challenging. Losing a hero due to upgrades is very difficult. I am now the top player in my clan because other TH14s were rushed and mine is a maxed out 13 before moving to 14. The most enjoyable for me was TH13. Plus I maxed it out in less time due to 50% off during anniversary. Edit: Hammer jam is the 50%, while anniversary gives free stuff every day...
Most people in my clan who are th14 now say that th13 is worse because lots of defences are 2 upgrades. So even though it may take 8 days or something to upgrade an archer tower, you have to upgrade it twice so it ends up taking longer than a th14 upgrade. But yes the pets and resources needed for everything are very annoying from what I’ve heard
@@nickmangona48 yeah, right 4 Xbow - 2 levels 7 Cannon + 8 Archer Tower - 2 levels 2 Scattershot - 2 levels Siege Workshop - 2 levels Town hall - 5 levels Heroes - 55 levels in total 25 - RC, 10 for AQ, BK and GW Literally everything else except collectors and certain traps - 1 level It is very long but the army strength is rather nice, I enjoy Th13 hybrid attacks
My most fond memories of clash are actually THs 7-10. Back when I first joined CoC, the game only had TH10 and clan wars weren’t even in the game yet. I remember finally reaching TH7 and feeling so happy. I’m TH14 now (could be 15 if I played consistently for the whole time I downloaded the game, but I had a time of like 2 years after TH11 released where I never played and once I got back there was TH12 and so much had changed and I was still only TH9.
Town Hall 11 is my favorite in all of them. The looks it has its so pleasing attack strategy are blanced with different base layouts and much more overall vibe is chill and so great
I like the eagle artillery and the colour of the base but edrags which get unlocked at th11 suck. Everyone who is th11 or higher just spams edrag zap and fails to three star. It's just so frustrating to watch your attack replays of a th12 failing to three star your base. It's also very frustrating to watch your th15 clanmates lose to th13 because they use edrags. Yes th11 does have a lot of different attack strategies but no one actually uses strategies other than zap ED. At this point I get happy when I see someone triple my base who is not using edrags. And I don't wanna see any comment about “CaSUaL PLaYeRs NEeD EdRaGs FOr TwO STaR” because that's bullshit.
TH15 attacks are actually some of the best I've seen, it requires u to be creative to work around those potion towers and not just mindlessly 3 star with an air attack
nah lower town halls need more love. you were bored because you replayed them, but being fresh to the game and seeing your base double in size and your army go from 20 barbarians to 40 archers and 6 giants is really fun. just because its simple doesnt mean its bad
TH14 was my favorite because I finally learned how to play Lalo and I pushed to my PR of 5600 in legends league against all TH15s. It’s definitely challenging, but I found it the most rewarding of all the THs
Man... I'm honestly not wanting to go to th12 because I think it's the worst looking one of the bunch. Funny how we all can have such different opinions on the aesthetics of town halls

i think th10 could also be S teir only because its such a cool looking base, but also for a long time it was the highest th you could be. so even i was really young when i first started clash, and only made it to th10 about a year ago, i still feel like i accomplished something really big.
i feel like TH 7 and 8 are some of the most enjoyable, just how much you feel like you progress and get better during that time is a really nice feeling
TH9 was by far my best experience. So good that I even went back and created 2 TH9 accounts that still to this day never got upgraded past. Loved Trophy pushing in particular once Legend came available as a League and was still playable at lower THs. Since they made Legend not playable for anything but the 2 highest TH I stopped and all my accounts have been frozen ever since. Wish I could relive that memory once again but it's nice to have a look back at what the THs actually looked like.
Nerf miner is from clash royale tf. Also I think the miner in coc is actually relatively better than the miner in clash royale. It is just so underrated. At th10 and 11, you can 3 star bases with an army that has like 30 miners and maybe healers for a queen charge/walk

I am th15, and I've been playing CoC for over 8 years. My favorite town halls are 9, 10 and 13. I remember upgrading my th9 base when walls cost 2 million and final hero levels around 150k. Sounds bad, but it was really fun and entertaining, because buildings didn't took as long to upgrade, there were plenty of attack strategies, attacks weren'tas easy as they are today (at th9). I remember everyone rushed to th10 having lvl15 heroes and I felt really special because I've maxed them out. I pushed to champions league at th9, it was quite challenging having to attack th10 and 11. At th10 much more new tactics were available, also seige machines were released around the time I upgraded to th10 and they were an absolute game changer. It was so fun destroying bases with pekkas, bowlers, wall wrecker and bats. Also, I think th10 has the best look out of all town halls in the game. And finally th13 felt like a new era of the game. New powerful defense, new hero, bases became much more complicated and more difficult to destroy. I was able to 3 star pretty much every base at th12 and lower, that was no longer the case at th13. It made the game more interesting for me, because for the first time I had to really think about my attacks and plan them carefully. At the same time, making 3 stars was possible every time, it had perfectly balanced difficulty. As of th14 and 15, I think those poison spell defenses, battle builders and monolith are really annoying, I think they are ruining the fun. Nowadays a lot of bases are just impossible to 3 star, at least for me. It makes me mad when the attacks looks really good in my head and when I start attacking all the troops die on one stupid defense or invisibility spell tower makes my army ignore the town hall. Often I look at the base and just have no idea how to attack it properly. As I said before, it really ruins all the fun.
Best Looks are Town 10 I will Probably stay There because The Grind is so long in the Later Towns and I dont want to be like a Expert the Game is Played like here and there
Just looked it up and TH9 walls now cost 100k for level 9 and 200k for level 10😭 Even when I was a TH9 level 9 walls cost 500k each and level 10 cost 1M each
@@TheDeathOrange Yes they were and it used to be that level 9 walls were the first level that you could upgrade with gold or elixir and now you can upgrade walls with elixir from level 5😂 TH8 walls used to be a pain in the arse to upgrade because they were 500k each and you could only upgrade them with gold
The most game changing TH imo is TH11, where you need to think twice about to attack using spam attack. Also it introduce super troop, especially "super goblin" 😏
for me th7 is always the best . as a player from 2015 , l was so happy when l unlocked hero . + dark troops are also unlocked at th7 and the last army camp and last barracks ( well no more 4 barracks ) .
These ratings don't feel right cuz you mostly rated them based on how you felt when you played the game again. But when you played for the first time every single town hall felt like an A experience. I have so many memories with every single one of them.
TH9 was where I stopped waaaay back in the early years of CoC. I recently started playing again and it was so fun playing TH9 again. Easily on of the best, the x-bows and archer queen make the game so much fun and open up a lot of new strategies. I'm currently kind of sad I upgraded to TH10 and am getting close to maxing it, I just find it a bit less fun, and the strategy just isn't as it was in TH9. You've given me some hope though, as I get close to maxing it I'm actually looking forward to TH11 now and I'll probably just stay at TH11 indefinitely.
TH7 was very enjoyable. Always warmed my heart to use mass hog attacks. TH8 would've been more fun, but what ruined it for me was the constant dragon spam attacks...like geezus, every attack I faced was just straight up drag spam. No variety in attack.... TH9 I agree with as I still use GoWiWi, even at TH15 (though with super wizards). The dragon spam is lessened a little as you now have a second air sweeper and 4 ADs, along with xbows and queen; but getting attacked by a TH10 that uses a siege is so unfair... I really did hate having to upgrade the Queen to 30, as it reminded me of the same thing I had to do with the crusher-loving battle machine. TH10 I liked a lot more than TH9 because defense-wise your TH could withstand more instead of it being a game where every 6 hours someone completely rolls your base. The addition of infernos makes attacking with dragons harder, and can disrupt siege attacks if the attacker isn't careful. TH11 was probably my most enjoyable TH as 1) sneaky goblins + super WB = easy loot. And 2) Bowitch zapquake is very strong at this TH. Plus the addition of grandpa helps break into bases easier. The only negative at TH11 is that it makes the dragon spam even WORSE with the addition of the Edrag, and it doesn't stop no matter how high you go... TH12 was meh, but still content worthy. Making sieges on your own was nice, plus getting a 3rd inferno tower helps so that way you can have two singles and one multi to round them out. Bowitch attacks still manage to hang on if you plan it correctly; though when I get to 12 on my alt I'll try Super GoWiWi this time around. Bringing the GW up to lvl 40 might seem like a huge pain, but getting elixir is no issue compared to dark elixir. TH13, probably my favorite high end TH. The ice theme is pretty cool, the giga inferno looks nice, the RC helps with killing defenses easier, and scatters can help break up attacks more; though it does make farming harder as the damn shots will HOME IN on the troop as its moving. That's not how catapults work SC... Attacking bases was always fun as Super GoWiWi will demolish any base, especially if using the log launcher, and the frost effect from the TH dying is cool, while at the same time not being too annoying to deal with. I stayed maxed at TH13 as I had no reason to move up, until.... TH15 arrived by the time I was considering going to TH14, so I just rushed TH14 because compared to the amount of content you got from 13, TH14 felt quite lacking. Stronger TH with a poison bomb that is annoying as hell to deal with, only a handful of traps, and honest to God lackluster pets just made that TH feel like a huge slog. Plus, the pets only seem to work well with one hero: Unicorn with Queen, Yak with King, Owl with GW, and LASSI with RC. Pretty boring honestly... TH15 I am halfway through. Attacking is definitely harder due to the monolith being a mega troop killer and the spell towers being another huge game changer that can literally break your army depending on what's used. However, TH15 came with a big content boost that makes it more entertaining than 14, especially with the new pets that you feel as if you can change them around your heroes to try something else. Diggy is always getting paired with RC because stunning defenses is a huge boost, Frosty can be paired with any hero as slowing defenses definitely helps survivability, phoenix keeps them up for a few seconds longer, and poison lizard feels like it could be useful in killing heroes and troops if you don't have a headhunter in your army already. Also, you get new levels for several troops and spells, including those who have been maxed out at 13 or 12. Despite how crazy and demotivating the monolith feels, it's still weak to swarm attacks. Spell towers, especially those with poison, can be zapquaked out; and invis towers can get triggered early with log launcher, making them useless.
I'm about to max my th13 and want to stay here, but I also want the stronger troops. Th15 definitely is an improvement from 14, but I'm still thinking about staying here @13 or rushing 14 going to 15
I remember town hall 9 being the most fun, even though upgrading heroes and especially doing 2 walls back in the day was so long and expensive, the town hall itself was fun because of that. Revisiting th9 it feels kind of flimsy and fast now which I don’t know how I feel about. I also hate town hall 8 because you just end up with far too much elixir and nothing to do with it, which is very annoying as a base maxer. Revisiting it I just wanted to go next instantly.
Imo the best TH is TH11. Kinda like what Havoc said, the upgrades don’t feel super long and annoying, yet there is so much stuff to unlock and upgrade! I remember the first time I got there how happy I was, because I felt like so many new things were added that I could upgrade and experience quickly
Yeah and 11 is the first town hall where it really feels like you’ve filled up the base area, I have such a sense of accomplishment from looking at it going wow look at all of this. It applies for the higher TH’a for sure but that was the first where I felt formidable and truly high level, hard to recreate that cross over feeling.
From design, th14 looks a lot like th12 with blue being replaced by green, but this color scheme is more nature-ish and the tiny golden beams just make it very beautiful.
Looks-wise I definitely like th8 the most. There's stil space in the base and most buildings still actually look like a beautiful village instead of some fantasy universe. Gameplay-wise it's probably th9 - th11 for me. Opportunities to attack widen but it's still not difficult. I recently went from being a maxed th12 to th13 and especially going to th13 I feel like it's increasingly about not missing a beat in an attack, which can be very fun and rewarding but also very stressful. I imagine this is going to be even more so at th14 & 15.
I remember when i was 7 years old in 2012 when this game first came out, my friends and I used to stand in front of a blank wall and talk about how we placed our defenses and why we placed them like that which made this game a source of logic we could get, i rarely see kids these days talking about “logic” sadly. Im talking about the days when we were able to trash buildings, when th8 was max, when we were all th5s😂 and we were thinking that was a high th and a well awarding one, i went back to the wall we used to stand at last month and all the memories flooded back into my head, this game has brought so much joy to my life and many others and will still be loyal to it hopefully.
For me town hall 11 will always have a spot in my heart......this is a town hall level where you understand the best attacks in the game like all variations of lava loon,pekka smash,hybrid(not e drags ofcourse😂).....it is just sweet.
I've played since the game came out all those years ago. I remember how long and costly all those upgrades used to be. Seeing how cheap and fast it takes to upgrade some of those things now is so frustrating but it was needed so bad
I am near to maxing 15 and honestly it is the most fun I have had since th11 which was my fav. Really diverse attacks and options. Meaningful defense upgrades and just really fun. Personally its 11, 15, 9 in S.
As a max th15 it’s some of the most fun I’ve had on the game. Seeing my skill level rising in my attacks climbing to the higher side of legend league is really fun for me!
As an OG player I've hated TH9 a lot... Because of the Double Wall Upgrade and the So many Hero Levels... But nowadays since the prices have dropped, it seems like a far more enjoyable TH
Th 14&15 is simply where attacking requires you to get the most out of your heros, for most casual players this is too difficult but for me, practicing difficult attacks is way more fun than just spamming edrags
I liked 9, but 10 was so cool looking back in 2014. I remember marveling at how cool my dad’s base looked and rushing to get that town hall. Years later I still have that account. It’s still a rushed town hall 9 and I don’t plan on changing that. But then I made a new account a while later and got it to max th10 and let it sit there because I felt like I had beaten everything I wanted to do for years. Fast forward to last week, I’m now a th11.
In my view, th11 is just perfect. In this town hall is when you actually start taking the game serious, there are a lot of strategies to learn and you do realise that you have to be very accurate in your attacks if you want to get 3 stars
Th7 was really fun, being forced to raid to get dark elixir made getting the barbarian king the most satisfying experience when i finally could afford him after going on a crusade on th8's
I remember way back in the day I was stuck at town hall 6 for a long time and really hated it. The only new things were the heal spell which was good the healer which was useless cause there was no queen and the air sweeper. The walls were ugly as was the town hall itself but I think nowadays it is much better and not as annoying.
For me, town hall 10 was the goat. I loved the lava theme of it, and you get introduced to inferno towers and you had to come up with different ways to counter them when you attack. Old freeze spells were amazing in my opinion
i find that the design of everything isn’t as great after TH11. i think that many buildings look bad or just way less enjoyable color schemes after 11, and 13 is the only one with some stuff i like. TH9, 10, and 11 are my sweet spots.
I'm personally extremely close to max Town Hall 9 and I honestly agree that it’s been the most fun Town Hall so far. The armies are diverse enough to allow for a multitude of army combinations without having too many options. The defenses are balanced enough that attacking feels like fun and doesn’t require an insane amount of strategy. The aesthetic is peak with the cool skeleton hall vibe of the town hall feeling cool af. However, the one criticism I have is that the heroes do have *way* too many levels at this town hall for some reason. My Barb King and Archer Queen are only levels 25 and 24 and I still have like 5 and 6 more levels to go when they already take 2 days per level up. Despite this flaw Town Hall 9 is just the perfect Clash experience and I am not looking forward to the Town Hall 10 grind to 11.
I think you overlooked something with TH12. You get a weaponized townhall!!! For me that was a big change, you felt more powerfull, but you also had to find new ways to attack this townhall. So I would switch 12 for 13 in the ranking
Th6 is currently my favorite ( I’m TH8) since the clan capital is probably my favorite part of the game, considering my entire clan is carried by me and my 3 minis.
My personal favorite is th10 because of the time. I was one of the first people I knew to get th10 back in 2013 and a bit after my friend and I started our own clan and I got over 30 of my friends in school to join. I was the leader of a massive clan with so many friends and classmates and it was just so fun. It was a truly social gathering and unity I had rarely experienced before in gaming. Now I’m almost th16 and only know like 3 people who play. Very much became a single player game for me. Still enjoy it like a routine but nothing will match the feeling of a community like when I was th10
As people have said before TH9 was peak.. I do like other designs more, but it just offers so much with Queen and X Bows, without being too much.. And also nostalgia obviously :)
I will always be a fan of Town Hall 7. The memories associated with finally getting dark elixir and the barbarian king, and it’s the last town hall where you don’t necessarily need to have a good strategy to win attacks. It’s by far the most enjoyable town hall and I’m saying this as someone who has had to make 3 different accounts so I’ve experienced the town halls multiple times
Th1 : S Th2 : b Th3 : A Th4 : D Th5 : C Th6 : B Th7 : S Th8 : B Th9 : S Th10 : A Th11 : A Th12 : B ( I am here currently) Th13 : Ass Th14 : Ass Th15 : S ( design wise)
I remember getting TH 7 when I first started playing in 2014. All my friends were already there or higher and had the barb king and getting him myself was so satisfying.
it seems like some of the unlocks from 8 got pushed to 7 since when i got there, had a much better experience at 8 and would put it as S tier along side 9, but modern day i can totally see the rankings considering much of what i enjoyed at 8 is available at 7 now
I totally agree with ur list, but for me i would put th10 behind TH15 inside A Tier, for me its pretty fun being TH15 and playing in the Legends League
The difficulty of attacks at th15 is pretty crazy. Definitely harder than any other town hall in my experience. Even in esports they're averaging maybe one 3 star per war, 2 if they're lucky
Th 15 has been the most fun for me the attacks are really challenging and so rewarding when I get the 3 star. Clan war got better too because now I need to plan my attacks a lot more because poison spell defences and monoliths can ruin a whole attack in 20 seconds
Th 13 and above are F tier for me. Ever since the introduction of scattershot , the game feels harder, especially with attacks, and you can't just spam drags and loons anymore. Also, th9 would be lower for me, my reason being that i had max elixir all the time, cuz walls couldn't be upgraded with elixir
Yea, after TH 13 the fun of the game floats away. It's a little bit better at th 14 due to its incredible colours, but TH 15 is where the game truly dies off
Th10 has the best color profile to this day along with th9, also I don't like how the recent townhalls 13,14,15 are just the same compartment like shape just a little beefier each time, hope they do something different next time.
It feels like from TH7-TH12, you can actually progressively create better armies and become a better attacker and eventually "master" your town hall. TH13-TH15 it seems like Supercell put a lot more emphasis on beefing up the Defences and making it harder to 3 star your own TH level. I guess it just feels harder to be powerful at your own TH level once you get to 13
Your analogy of Th14 and Th15 is completely off the charts yes they are challenging but that’s how they are meant to be if you are a TH15 you are supposed to be playing for years now and still it’s so difficult to triple a th15 and that’s actually quite good rather than just spamming and getting triples
TH8 and 9 will go down in history. Maxing TH8 was such a victory, diving into attack strategies, and trying to push to titan as a tiny little dude - so good. And TH9?! I mean, the look and feel, getting your main girl to do queen walks, and trying to 3 star a poorly based th10. I got a second account at th9 that I love keeping.
You know, I assumed that as the numbers went up, it would just mean being higher tier, but I’m glad that wasn’t the case. Hearing the reasons for each THL was nice.
for me, TH13 is the safe place to stop and max up whatever you left from before, the loot is good, the electro dragons are strong enough at that level, at war you can 3 star TH14 if you know what you are doing. so, if you are rushing your base, just stop at this level and try to bring whatever you left up to your level
Ahh yes, I remember the days when I flexed my Town Hall 9 to my friends, while they were all still stuck at Town Halls 4-6. Ever since I stopped playing for various reasons, my friends have grinded their asses off in that game, and when I came back after a VERY long time, they turned around and started flexing their Town Halls 14/15 to me lol. Crazy how much time has passed.

The DE grind was heavily Gimped, But I still love TH7 due to Hogs being able to be spammed for fun now due to the removal of troop cost.

The reason I don’t like the more recent town halls 12-15 is they don’t really match each other like 1-11 you can see how they change like the top of the town hall extending upwards slowly then the chimney thing getting bigger

TH 14 is pretty rough. Most of the upgrades last for 2 weeks. Even the pets consume a lot of time and resources as well. And you need to be competitive or else you won't be able loot that much. Even dead bases are really challenging. Losing a hero due to upgrades is very difficult. I am now the top player in my clan because other TH14s were rushed and mine is a maxed out 13 before moving to 14. The most enjoyable for me was TH13. Plus I maxed it out in less time due to 50% off during anniversary.
Edit: Hammer jam is the 50%, while anniversary gives free stuff every day...
Most people in my clan who are th14 now say that th13 is worse because lots of defences are 2 upgrades. So even though it may take 8 days or something to upgrade an archer tower, you have to upgrade it twice so it ends up taking longer than a th14 upgrade. But yes the pets and resources needed for everything are very annoying from what I’ve heard
@Jawrick I agree with this. I'm TH14 now, but TH13 to me is worse. Alot of the Defenses had 2 levels, and there was also a shit ton of hero levels.

My most fond memories of clash are actually THs 7-10. Back when I first joined CoC, the game only had TH10 and clan wars weren’t even in the game yet. I remember finally reaching TH7 and feeling so happy. I’m TH14 now (could be 15 if I played consistently for the whole time I downloaded the game, but I had a time of like 2 years after TH11 released where I never played and once I got back there was TH12 and so much had changed and I was still only TH9.
Town Hall 11 is my favorite in all of them. The looks it has its so pleasing attack strategy are blanced with different base layouts and much more overall vibe is chill and so great

I like the eagle artillery and the colour of the base but edrags which get unlocked at th11 suck.
Everyone who is th11 or higher just spams edrag zap and fails to three star. It's just so frustrating to watch your attack replays of a th12 failing to three star your base. It's also very frustrating to watch your th15 clanmates lose to th13 because they use edrags. Yes th11 does have a lot of different attack strategies but no one actually uses strategies other than zap ED.
At this point I get happy when I see someone triple my base who is not using edrags.

TH14 was my favorite because I finally learned how to play Lalo and I pushed to my PR of 5600 in legends league against all TH15s. It’s definitely challenging, but I found it the most rewarding of all the THs

TH9 was by far my best experience. So good that I even went back and created 2 TH9 accounts that still to this day never got upgraded past. Loved Trophy pushing in particular once Legend came available as a League and was still playable at lower THs. Since they made Legend not playable for anything but the 2 highest TH I stopped and all my accounts have been frozen ever since.
Wish I could relive that memory once again but it's nice to have a look back at what the THs actually looked like.
Since th10 introduced the miner, and the miner evolved into the nerf miner meme, I gotta give th10 a really high spot.

The beginner experience is a lot different now than when the game came out it’s crazy how much has actually changed.
I am th15, and I've been playing CoC for over 8 years. My favorite town halls are 9, 10 and 13.
I remember upgrading my th9 base when walls cost 2 million and final hero levels around 150k. Sounds bad, but it was really fun and entertaining, because buildings didn't took as long to upgrade, there were plenty of attack strategies, attacks weren'tas easy as they are today (at th9). I remember everyone rushed to th10 having lvl15 heroes and I felt really special because I've maxed them out. I pushed to champions league at th9, it was quite challenging having to attack th10 and 11.
At th10 much more new tactics were available, also seige machines were released around the time I upgraded to th10 and they were an absolute game changer. It was so fun destroying bases with pekkas, bowlers, wall wrecker and bats. Also, I think th10 has the best look out of all town halls in the game.
And finally th13 felt like a new era of the game. New powerful defense, new hero, bases became much more complicated and more difficult to destroy. I was able to 3 star pretty much every base at th12 and lower, that was no longer the case at th13. It made the game more interesting for me, because for the first time I had to really think about my attacks and plan them carefully. At the same time, making 3 stars was possible every time, it had perfectly balanced difficulty.
As of th14 and 15, I think those poison spell defenses, battle builders and monolith are really annoying, I think they are ruining the fun. Nowadays a lot of bases are just impossible to 3 star, at least for me. It makes me mad when the attacks looks really good in my head and when I start attacking all the troops die on one stupid defense or invisibility spell tower makes my army ignore the town hall. Often I look at the base and just have no idea how to attack it properly. As I said before, it really ruins all the fun.

The most game changing TH imo is TH11, where you need to think twice about to attack using spam attack. Also it introduce super troop, especially "super goblin" 😏

I miss the lower town halls and how coc was back in the day. I started playing again in August 2022 after many years of on and off gaming.
These ratings don't feel right cuz you mostly rated them based on how you felt when you played the game again. But when you played for the first time every single town hall felt like an A experience. I have so many memories with every single one of them.
TH9 was where I stopped waaaay back in the early years of CoC. I recently started playing again and it was so fun playing TH9 again. Easily on of the best, the x-bows and archer queen make the game so much fun and open up a lot of new strategies. I'm currently kind of sad I upgraded to TH10 and am getting close to maxing it, I just find it a bit less fun, and the strategy just isn't as it was in TH9. You've given me some hope though, as I get close to maxing it I'm actually looking forward to TH11 now and I'll probably just stay at TH11 indefinitely.

TH7 was very enjoyable. Always warmed my heart to use mass hog attacks.
TH8 would've been more fun, but what ruined it for me was the constant dragon spam attacks...like geezus, every attack I faced was just straight up drag spam. No variety in attack....
TH9 I agree with as I still use GoWiWi, even at TH15 (though with super wizards). The dragon spam is lessened a little as you now have a second air sweeper and 4 ADs, along with xbows and queen; but getting attacked by a TH10 that uses a siege is so unfair... I really did hate having to upgrade the Queen to 30, as it reminded me of the same thing I had to do with the crusher-loving battle machine.
TH10 I liked a lot more than TH9 because defense-wise your TH could withstand more instead of it being a game where every 6 hours someone completely rolls your base. The addition of infernos makes attacking with dragons harder, and can disrupt siege attacks if the attacker isn't careful.
TH11 was probably my most enjoyable TH as 1) sneaky goblins + super WB = easy loot. And 2) Bowitch zapquake is very strong at this TH. Plus the addition of grandpa helps break into bases easier. The only negative at TH11 is that it makes the dragon spam even WORSE with the addition of the Edrag, and it doesn't stop no matter how high you go...
TH12 was meh, but still content worthy. Making sieges on your own was nice, plus getting a 3rd inferno tower helps so that way you can have two singles and one multi to round them out. Bowitch attacks still manage to hang on if you plan it correctly; though when I get to 12 on my alt I'll try Super GoWiWi this time around. Bringing the GW up to lvl 40 might seem like a huge pain, but getting elixir is no issue compared to dark elixir.
TH13, probably my favorite high end TH. The ice theme is pretty cool, the giga inferno looks nice, the RC helps with killing defenses easier, and scatters can help break up attacks more; though it does make farming harder as the damn shots will HOME IN on the troop as its moving. That's not how catapults work SC...
Attacking bases was always fun as Super GoWiWi will demolish any base, especially if using the log launcher, and the frost effect from the TH dying is cool, while at the same time not being too annoying to deal with. I stayed maxed at TH13 as I had no reason to move up, until....
TH15 arrived by the time I was considering going to TH14, so I just rushed TH14 because compared to the amount of content you got from 13, TH14 felt quite lacking. Stronger TH with a poison bomb that is annoying as hell to deal with, only a handful of traps, and honest to God lackluster pets just made that TH feel like a huge slog. Plus, the pets only seem to work well with one hero: Unicorn with Queen, Yak with King, Owl with GW, and LASSI with RC. Pretty boring honestly...
TH15 I am halfway through. Attacking is definitely harder due to the monolith being a mega troop killer and the spell towers being another huge game changer that can literally break your army depending on what's used. However, TH15 came with a big content boost that makes it more entertaining than 14, especially with the new pets that you feel as if you can change them around your heroes to try something else. Diggy is always getting paired with RC because stunning defenses is a huge boost, Frosty can be paired with any hero as slowing defenses definitely helps survivability, phoenix keeps them up for a few seconds longer, and poison lizard feels like it could be useful in killing heroes and troops if you don't have a headhunter in your army already.
Also, you get new levels for several troops and spells, including those who have been maxed out at 13 or 12. Despite how crazy and demotivating the monolith feels, it's still weak to swarm attacks. Spell towers, especially those with poison, can be zapquaked out; and invis towers can get triggered early with log launcher, making them useless.

I remember town hall 9 being the most fun, even though upgrading heroes and especially doing 2 walls back in the day was so long and expensive, the town hall itself was fun because of that. Revisiting th9 it feels kind of flimsy and fast now which I don’t know how I feel about. I also hate town hall 8 because you just end up with far too much elixir and nothing to do with it, which is very annoying as a base maxer. Revisiting it I just wanted to go next instantly.
Imo the best TH is TH11. Kinda like what Havoc said, the upgrades don’t feel super long and annoying, yet there is so much stuff to unlock and upgrade! I remember the first time I got there how happy I was, because I felt like so many new things were added that I could upgrade and experience quickly

Yeah and 11 is the first town hall where it really feels like you’ve filled up the base area, I have such a sense of accomplishment from looking at it going wow look at all of this. It applies for the higher TH’a for sure but that was the first where I felt formidable and truly high level, hard to recreate that cross over feeling.
From design, th14 looks a lot like th12 with blue being replaced by green, but this color scheme is more nature-ish and the tiny golden beams just make it very beautiful.

Looks-wise I definitely like th8 the most. There's stil space in the base and most buildings still actually look like a beautiful village instead of some fantasy universe.
Gameplay-wise it's probably th9 - th11 for me. Opportunities to attack widen but it's still not difficult. I recently went from being a maxed th12 to th13 and especially going to th13 I feel like it's increasingly about not missing a beat in an attack, which can be very fun and rewarding but also very stressful. I imagine this is going to be even more so at th14 & 15.

I remember when i was 7 years old in 2012 when this game first came out, my friends and I used to stand in front of a blank wall and talk about how we placed our defenses and why we placed them like that which made this game a source of logic we could get, i rarely see kids these days talking about “logic” sadly. Im talking about the days when we were able to trash buildings, when th8 was max, when we were all th5s😂 and we were thinking that was a high th and a well awarding one, i went back to the wall we used to stand at last month and all the memories flooded back into my head, this game has brought so much joy to my life and many others and will still be loyal to it hopefully.

I've played since the game came out all those years ago. I remember how long and costly all those upgrades used to be. Seeing how cheap and fast it takes to upgrade some of those things now is so frustrating but it was needed so bad

I liked 9, but 10 was so cool looking back in 2014. I remember marveling at how cool my dad’s base looked and rushing to get that town hall. Years later I still have that account. It’s still a rushed town hall 9 and I don’t plan on changing that. But then I made a new account a while later and got it to max th10 and let it sit there because I felt like I had beaten everything I wanted to do for years.
Fast forward to last week, I’m now a th11.
I feel th 12 should have been higher because it introduces defensive townhalls, which plays a pretty big role in the game.

In my view, th11 is just perfect. In this town hall is when you actually start taking the game serious, there are a lot of strategies to learn and you do realise that you have to be very accurate in your attacks if you want to get 3 stars

Th7 was really fun, being forced to raid to get dark elixir made getting the barbarian king the most satisfying experience when i finally could afford him after going on a crusade on th8's
I remember way back in the day I was stuck at town hall 6 for a long time and really hated it. The only new things were the heal spell which was good the healer which was useless cause there was no queen and the air sweeper. The walls were ugly as was the town hall itself but I think nowadays it is much better and not as annoying.
For me, town hall 10 was the goat. I loved the lava theme of it, and you get introduced to inferno towers and you had to come up with different ways to counter them when you attack. Old freeze spells were amazing in my opinion

Town hall 8 was S tier for me attacking and trophy pushing was so enjoyable
i find that the design of everything isn’t as great after TH11. i think that many buildings look bad or just way less enjoyable color schemes after 11, and 13 is the only one with some stuff i like. TH9, 10, and 11 are my sweet spots.
I'm personally extremely close to max Town Hall 9 and I honestly agree that it’s been the most fun Town Hall so far. The armies are diverse enough to allow for a multitude of army combinations without having too many options. The defenses are balanced enough that attacking feels like fun and doesn’t require an insane amount of strategy. The aesthetic is peak with the cool skeleton hall vibe of the town hall feeling cool af. However, the one criticism I have is that the heroes do have *way* too many levels at this town hall for some reason. My Barb King and Archer Queen are only levels 25 and 24 and I still have like 5 and 6 more levels to go when they already take 2 days per level up. Despite this flaw Town Hall 9 is just the perfect Clash experience and I am not looking forward to the Town Hall 10 grind to 11.

I think you overlooked something with TH12. You get a weaponized townhall!!! For me that was a big change, you felt more powerfull, but you also had to find new ways to attack this townhall. So I would switch 12 for 13 in the ranking

My personal favorite is th10 because of the time. I was one of the first people I knew to get th10 back in 2013 and a bit after my friend and I started our own clan and I got over 30 of my friends in school to join. I was the leader of a massive clan with so many friends and classmates and it was just so fun. It was a truly social gathering and unity I had rarely experienced before in gaming. Now I’m almost th16 and only know like 3 people who play. Very much became a single player game for me. Still enjoy it like a routine but nothing will match the feeling of a community like when I was th10

The memories associated with finally getting dark elixir and the barbarian king, and it’s the last town hall where you don’t necessarily need to have a good strategy to win attacks. it seems like some of the unlocks from 8 got pushed to 7 since when i got there, had a much better experience at 8 and would put it as S tier along side 9, but modern day i can totally see the rankings considering much of what i enjoyed at 8 is available at 7 now
I totally agree with ur list, but for me i would put th10 behind TH15 inside A Tier, for me its pretty fun being TH15 and playing in the Legends League
The difficulty of attacks at th15 is pretty crazy. Definitely harder than any other town hall in my experience. Even in esports they're averaging maybe one 3 star per war, 2 if they're lucky
Happens with every townhall thats the highest. They will balance and nerf stuff with time
Town hall 7, 9 and 11 are my most memorable.
My goal is to have 3 separate accounts at those levels.

Th 15 has been the most fun for me the attacks are really challenging and so rewarding when I get the 3 star. Clan war got better too because now I need to plan my attacks a lot more because poison spell defences and monoliths can ruin a whole attack in 20 seconds
Th 13 and above are F tier for me. Ever since the introduction of scattershot , the game feels harder, especially with attacks, and you can't just spam drags and loons anymore. Also, th9 would be lower for me, my reason being that i had max elixir all the time, cuz walls couldn't be upgraded with elixir

Yea, after TH 13 the fun of the game floats away. It's a little bit better at th 14 due to its incredible colours, but TH 15 is where the game truly dies off
@@martinrogan6641 it sucks cuz if you don't snipe the th, and you just go at it with your entire troop, without GW, you'll probably lose
I'm on 13 and it's definitely harder than 12, but you can still spam e drags.
The most fun I've had in CoC was when my 2 accounts were TH11 and 9 respectively.

Th10 has the best color profile to this day along with th9, also I don't like how the recent townhalls 13,14,15 are just the same compartment like shape just a little beefier each time, hope they do something different next time.
It feels like from TH7-TH12, you can actually progressively create better armies and become a better attacker and eventually "master" your town hall. TH13-TH15 it seems like Supercell put a lot more emphasis on beefing up the Defences and making it harder to 3 star your own TH level. I guess it just feels harder to be powerful at your own TH level once you get to 13

Your analogy of Th14 and Th15 is completely off the charts yes they are challenging but that’s how they are meant to be if you are a TH15 you are supposed to be playing for years now and still it’s so difficult to triple a th15 and that’s actually quite good rather than just spamming and getting triples

TH8 and 9 will go down in history. Maxing TH8 was such a victory, diving into attack strategies, and trying to push to titan as a tiny little dude - so good. And TH9?! I mean, the look and feel, getting your main girl to do queen walks, and trying to 3 star a poorly based th10. I got a second account at th9 that I love keeping.
You know, I assumed that as the numbers went up, it would just mean being higher tier, but I’m glad that wasn’t the case. Hearing the reasons for each THL was nice.
for me, TH13 is the safe place to stop and max up whatever you left from before, the loot is good, the electro dragons are strong enough at that level, at war you can 3 star TH14 if you know what you are doing. so, if you are rushing your base, just stop at this level and try to bring whatever you left up to your level
Ahh yes, I remember the days when I flexed my Town Hall 9 to my friends, while they were all still stuck at Town Halls 4-6. Ever since I stopped playing for various reasons, my friends have grinded their asses off in that game, and when I came back after a VERY long time, they turned around and started flexing their Town Halls 14/15 to me lol. Crazy how much time has passed.

BUT the attacking is SO damn fun
No one is talking about townhall 6 enough. It really changed the game by adding all those things. Also I think the walls and the townhall look great. I personally put it in a tear
I feel like TH11 is turning point where all attacks feel different, where walls start to cost a lot, where strategies become different, where upgrades times start to feel long
