Hey, I don't comment on youtube videos often but I wanted to let you know that your math olympiad problem explanation videos are really good and it doesn't go unnoticed how concise and clear your solutions are! Thanks for the great content man, the best part is how you show the motivation
I mistook phi(n) for tau(n) (number of divisors) and tried solving for tau(n) + sigma(n) = 2n + 8 and got n = 256. Then I realised we were solving different problems.
Lol I had this problem on other competition around 2 weeks ago where we didnt need to write proof but there were around 200 problems and you had 3 attemps for each.
Hey, so regarding the polyhedron problem, there is a solution on the Canadian Math Society page, if you search "MOCP 1997-1998 Problem Set 7", you will be able to find a solution there as problem 38. But I realised it will be very hard to do a video on it without being able to draw 3D diagrams properly (and draw a non-trivial example). Perhaps you can point out if there is some part of the solution that you cannot understand
I'm indeed thinking of doing a whole series of lessons on one topic (e.g. number theory) but I will need to plan a syllabus to teach it properly. It's one of the things on the to-do list!
And I have joined miklos shweitzers memorial competition now I am indeed a high school student who struggles to solve even some basic olympiad problems but what hurts in taking a part I suggest you also get enrolled and try it for your self it's informal no information or money needed and you got 10 days time 😀 you might be great help to students like me to

Thank you very much! These comments help me out a lot!
Do you think this problem is easy enough to be the first of 4 problems of a math Olympiad?
I think the afternoon difficulty level in this exam was 1
I know nothing about this olympiad, but this is a 5-10 mins problem
@@반갑습니다-u6w Will take a look!
I think its too easy for the IMO tho recetnyl 1/4's difficulty has been reducing drastically this prob is like AIME type
@@sayantanmazumdar9371 Agreed. This would make for a nice AIME #11-13 with the prompt "find the sum of n such that..."
The thumbnail brought me here lmao :D
the part where you noticed that the LHS overpowered the RHS was vital for the solution. tysm for explaining it thoroughly!
you are welcome!

wow! Sounds like a marathon!
@@dedekindcuts3589 Actually we had 10 hours and it was a online competition with up to 3 per group, I was alone in my group tho.
eunha in the thumbnail is too cute
Hello fellow Buddy! How's Season of Memories going
@@dedekindcuts3589 love it, listening on loop right now!
hi from korea
안녕하세요!
Splitting cases is skipped, right? Thx for teaching btw.
What the hell is this problem?!
🤣🤣
Can you take some whole sessions like number theory like whole topics in oneshot with some nice questions of your choice it would be great 😊😊
