i just love it when they say naa not for sell it's to close to my heart. so you would rather let it rot, than sell to someone who wants to buy it and restore it.
i was just saying the same thing, so close to his heart it about a total loss in just a short while.
Exactly. "Ill give you any 20 of these for free if you fix this one up for me to keep". its that simple
@@TennisBallsMSG thats what id say if i was in his shoes and couldnt fix it my self .
they going to die with em..... ain't selling nothing.........
Exactly!!! These hulks will be buried in mud and gone in a few more years. All these idiots say the same thing "im gonna restore it some day".
I'am a Mopar Man Thru & Thru Collecting Them Is One Thing But When You See 12/14 Inch Trees Growing Thru The Hood And All The Other Various Wrongs These Mopars Should Have Been Sold Years Ago !!!!! Just Sayin !!!!
Or at least put them inside somewhere.
I would be a bit embarrassed
@@robertlyman9789the money it would take to resurrect one of those cars isn't worth it
A GOLD MINE
Ahm a gunna fix er up someday.....
Fine line between preserving and hoarding.
I am so glad to see that people "get it" when it comes to these abandoned JUNK holes. In this condition, all of it together might bring $25k at very best. It would require millions to get this junk into sellable condition. Insane Title on this video.
Close to his heart rusting in a pile .....means i think it's worth a lot money . These guys are all the same .....everything's great , rare , and one of a kind ,
Thanks to the internet everyone knows about price and where they are. (Ugg)
I agree, all these guys live in the 'lookie what I got and you don't' world!
Exactly, they are mint.
Super Cool Parker! Appreciate you taking me along for the ride.
Russell was a very kind soul. And absolutely a gear-head. He could talk for hours about his adventures and definitely had some "dukes of hazard" moments. He loved to laugh and we've laughed until we cried with him.
Thanks for doing this episode on him.
"This 1 is close to my hart.." yet it'd just rot away...😅
negotiation technique
Its so close to his heart he leaves it outside rotting away.
Exactly. All scrap metal and a total waste for Parker to drive all the way there.
Yeah. But he saved it no one else did??😮
Exactly, that ole' boy doesn't give two shits about that car!
@@colinhamilton6493 …I disagree, there is plenty to work with there… I’m guessing 30k gets it !
Debbie Downer.
As a lifelong Mopar guy I am blown away by the amount of rare cars in this junkyard… sure most need everything done to them but just seeing how he collected them puts a smile on my face. 👍🏼
makes me mad he probably wouldnt sell em and let someone enjoy it
Being from Louisiana I can testify that there are a thousand idiots just like that dude who "suddenly" see the value in what they usually consider just junk; they get instant dreams that their gonna get rich on every piece of Mopar history that they were complicit in letting sit there and deteriorate. Just po's me to see idiots let this happen to those cars. Sorry, watching this, just had to vent!!
@Bennromansince1955 could not find value back when these were complete - just wasted away for no reason.
Not just Louisiana..
@@Bennromansince1955 Colliers AMC in Pikeville North Carolina same way
im from here also and see the same thing . typical Louisiana people have a pile of junk and thinks its worth gold . at the end of the year it will go to a crusher for scrap .
Stuff will be still setting there next year !
I'm sure you're absolutely right mostly junk but they think they have gold you probably need three or four cars just to put one halfway back together
Ya think?
it will go to a crusher for scrap value . ive seen it where i live in Louisiana . a guy wouldnt sell me some parts off a squarebody chevy in a junk yard because it was close to his heart . but the next year i was passing and pulled over to watch it get crushed for scrap value of less then what i was offering for the parts .
I don't see a $1.000.000 and I'm wearing my glasses 😂
Click bait to show us junk
With 400 cars (allegedly) scattered around, it's an average of $2,500 per junk. Does that sound realistic?
@razvancalin6453 no junk price and alot is just scrap $200
More like $400 a piece @@razvancalin6453
as an Australian im blown away at the amount of old muscle cars you guys keep finding. keep up the good work.
I remember about 20 years ago, a mate of mine bought an acreage on the NSW Central Coast. I went to check it out and the property next to it had about a dozen LX-LH Toranas just scattered all over the place. I went and asked the owner about them. He was a retired helicopter pilot who was about 150 years old 😂
He said that they were his son’s and his son was going to do them up one day but right now he’s addicted to drugs.
Long story short, I visited my friend in early 2017-18 and the neighbour had passed away, his son had passed away and the wife said we can take what we want. Sadly they were all rotten, trees growing through them etc. I was absolutely broken hearted. Such a waste 😭💔
imagine if there were that many HK-T-G monaros , XW-Xys , pacers ect. lying around
@@chopperking1122 that would be awesome. Thankfully our population is not large enough to ever have the need for those numbers of production. Then again, we import everything now anyway 😭
That's because Australia sucks..G-day mate
It's pretty common in rural areas
I can't watch this. I hate when people let good cars go to shit like this 👎
I usually keep very valuable and highly desirable things that are close to my heart rusting in a yard, too.
This one is close to my heart.... As its left there returning to the soil.
Unfortunately he sounds like hes wants to sell bronze parts at gold prices
Agree. His body language say's it all for me. Never mind the nervous smirks that appear ever so often when rare or value comes up. I never minded working with repo parts as long as i can make them look good as i drive by in one of my cars and get the thumbs up.(6) Pitted factory original trim and old brittle plastic made in the 60-70's were crap back then let alone what it is today exposed to the elements. I stick with new plastic and improved quality on my hot rods for my smiles per gallon. Fair price is enough for what ever there is. When Mike Halle tried to sell for a million and a half i believe he ended up on action end with 3/4 million instead and about 20ish cars for him to keep. He is also a very nice guy and asks for a fair price and if you make him tear up , he will at time sell at a less than asked price because it is going to a good home and not a flipping flipper. So that is a lot of junk cars/parts per pricing difference for the other 1/2 of his expected million return. Not looking down at what is on this property but what i seen in this video is not 500.000.00 of good junk so far. Look at the crowd in this video and notice no 20-30 year old's. Those 20-30' year old "kids" are looking for 80-90ish cars from their youth to buy and drive. Kids from the 60-70's are dying or dead. How many 35-54 cars are we seeing driving the streets? Why not? They are cool but almost all of those kids are dead and so is the demand for those year's of cars as we can find them everywhere still as well as many parts for them. lets hope for the best for the cars returning from the grave. What gave this guy away was his 383 beeper that one day he will fix the brakes and throw down some fuel in the engine to drive one more time as he wish's but has not done for all those years as it sinks into the ground from sitting. No hate , just profiling if i was a buyer of something.
I think one thing that a lot of people are missing is that these cars were not valuable when they were drug into the woods. Most of them were probably already totaled or parted out beyond anyone wanting to fool with them. Whether it is hoarding or not, his dragging them to the woods saved them from just being crushed. 30 years ago, no one would have considered any of these cars worth saving. That's why he was parting them out. Today there is a rabid market, especially for MOPAR, and people are crying about the possible money rusting in the woods. These cars would require deep pockets and an understanding that you will never get your money back to restore these. It would have to be a labor of love.
This is why the good cars are getting ever increasing dollars when ar auction is because so many valuable cars are rotting away outside.
Mopar Hoarders never just let things go.
This reminds me of climbing through junkyards in the late 80s early 90s
The original owner was my Pawpaw! It makes my heart so happy to see his legacy and love for classic cars being shared. My Mawmaw would always yell at him when he'd bring a new "piece of junk" home. But just like Nathan said, he saw something in those cars that no one else did. So many memories from my childhood are forever planted in those trails and in that shop. Thank you to this channel for sharing! He would've loved to be there and talk y'all's heads off about every single one. I can see him just smiling down now and telling my Mawmaw, "I told you so, Little Woman!"
That's an awesome story and glad YOU see and appreciate his passion at least. I'm a fellow Louisianan, if this is close to the south (I'm near Lafayette) I'd love to come check them out and maybe pick one of these old mopars out. I just sold my challenger a couple years ago and would love a new project!

@amtilley22 its sad your (pawpaw) didn't sell some of these before they got so bad and Rotted as he did!!how can you say he loved classic cars when he left them like this??
Man oh man I need to hit the lottery
Super Bee with a super tree bower option priceless!❤
HI PARKER , WOW , am a FORD guy myself BUT this guy was really into the MOPARS...
Well no matter what brand/make , you are doing a BANG UP job finding these places...
To bad where I live there isn t enough land to collect cars/parts.
TY very much for your dedication in finding/showing us these people/places
What a waste, if you are not going to sell and get them on the road again! Just rotting away! Sad really!
Did you watch the whole video?
This car is just like the one on fast and furious, .. It must be worth millions.😂😂
So happy these men are Sharing these, NOT just letting them sit and rot to maintain their Egos. Thanks.
Seems a bit late! 😂 maybe the money is not high enough?
not letting them sit???what do you think there doing with them!!!
@@yeahright302pretty sure it was sarcasm
@ I'm not sure it was. This guys videos always seem to not realistic on prices.
"his one is close to my heart right here" yea, rotting all to pieces!
The time you shared with him, had to be amazing. Money can't buy this!!!!
Ole boy's nickname must be Hank Williams Sr. because he damn sure has a "Cold Cold Heart" leaving that car to rot & rust away.
we need to see a tour of Mopar City , that place is something to see!
You can count out cars like that. People grow old. Those cars will rot, and they won't be worth anything.
I got a feeling the owner sees more value there than the actual value. people don’t pay for sentimental value.
Oh wow he really seems to have no idea how special his plum crazy 4 speed Charger R/T really is!
Tree 80 Tree. Best Mopar engine...LoL
Oh, here is a rare one. The tag says it's got a 440 (this one's got no engine), a black on black (this one is now green the top is long gone. No front fenders and rusted to point of having no floor and the frame, no frame because it rusted away. Everything is bent and rusted. no tranny, driveshaft, no rear end. Tires are all flat and the rims are no good too. the windshield is busted and had no side glass or back window. The dash is missing, and the steering column is laying there with a rotten steering wheel bent and gutted. Yeh, it's a rare one alright. Because after this car flipped over end to end and landed in gully and people in the car all died somehow it came out o.k.
That 71 Bee does not have an air grabber hood. That’s the standard RT/Bee insert
Exactly. It's too big of a hole. Also, what they are referring to as an Air grabber on a Plymouth was on a Dodge called a "Ramcharger".
@ Absolutely correct. Sad all of those cars are so rough and missing fender tags.
Yep, its a louver. Still cool but those OG louvers are unobtanium. Maybe NOS exists. Guy probably sold them all.
There is a fortune out there. Loved the story about owner jumping car into pond.
They were preserved. Time to rediscover the fun.
The uncle didn't love these cars, he loved having something that someone else didn't have. If he loved them, he would have sold them to someone who'd do something with them other than let them rot.
This guy won't do anything with them other than maybe list them for sale at ridiculous prices with something like "nO LoBaLLeRs, i KnOw wHaT i hAvE".
"This is close to my heart" 😅😅😅
A car is worth only what somebody is willing to pay for it 🤔🤔🤔🤔
Lots of cool stuff!.. Great job!💯
You guys are about right I have a 48 Plymouth deluxe coupe and by the looks of yours that’s what that is FYI!! Love the vlogs you show very CQQL !👍🏻😎🇺🇸🦅
I have a 48 also and runs and drives everywhere
TRUE ""GEAR HEADS"" SEE JOY,JOY NOT JUNK!!!WE CAN NEVER GET BACK WHAT IS WASTED,BUT FINDING GEMS IN THE WOODS BRINGS LIFE BACK INTO THOSE OF US WHO STILL CAN REMEMBER THE ""GOOD OLD DAYS""!❤❤😊
True gear dont hoard and let all these sit and rot i own only 2 special car because thats all the room i have in my garage and you know what when it time to sell them id give them away to some one of he would take care of them and keep them in a garage li i did i do not care about money i care about the car they only care about cash these guys
To refer to the mans passion as a "junk yard" made me cringe, should have referred to it as something more respectful, like his "collection."
@@Flussig1 leaving car to rot is not a passion its hoarding junk at this point
@carlraymondgrenier787 True, but it's his money.
@Flussig1 should have never bought these cat and just sent the cash in the snp 500 if it about money that not even a good way to make cash
I want the Wagon at 16:30 "this was his First Car" !!!
I would have made room in that garage for at least some of the cars instead he just left them sit outside unprotected.
Great history there for Mopar lovers. I liked the van I saw in this video that looked to be early 70's . I'm viewing from TAMPA BAY FLORIDA USA 💪🇺🇸💪 🏁😎
Mopar Heaven
Shoot, looks more like hell from over here.
I live in Lake Charles , Louisiana and that’s cool yall are in Louisiana! 👌🏻👍🏻👍🏻
And I’m sure this guy thinks he has a gold mine and will ask ridiculous money for what he has.
Thanks! Parker for taking us along, l grew up going through junkyards, most of the real interesting yards in a 50 mile radius from l live, that l frequented in the late 80s- early 2000s have shuttered in the last 10-15 years..l will say l think l was born in the wrong generation 😮
Great stories. Like the tribute. To the old man
its close to my heart. this kinda car was in a movie! if you loved it it would be taken apart blocking youre driveway. more like, ill try getting more then its worth.
Thank you for sharing these videos with us. Love what you do, keep doing your thing Parker!
If it wasn’t for the people who collected this stuff it would have been wiped off the face of the planet years ago i have a small private junkyard of gm cars and 95% of them were headed to the scrap yard if i didnt buy em. That being said all the people bitching about this deceased gentleman being a hoarder and the demise of these vehicles should keep there ignorant comments to themselves. Great video!
That Grave Yard car guy is in tears
cant stand that guys videos either, especially since they repost the same video more than once just with a different title..
The Graveyard Cars guy seems to be a bit of a poser. They're so inept they actually parted out a Challenger convertible in one of their videos because it was too complicated to repair.
Cool rides hopefuply he sells all...🤞💪✌️

Great show Parker, I’ve seen you in action with Camaros and I’m equally impressed with your Mopar knowledge. I’m a Ford and Pontiac guy so I have hopes of you finding a Ford and Pontiac junkyard someday so you can really shine! Cheers mate.
That's funny, "A Ford and Pontiac. That's an oxymoron, not to mention sacrilegious.
. You're either a Ford guy or GM guy , you cannot be both, that's just how it has to be.
Parker on the other hand is an automotive whore/pimp. Anything that could possibly turn a trick/dollar.
This video was very entertaining. Thank you.

I saw 1 wagon man those are a hot ticket now.
this is like the horror movie when the guy keeps his dead family seated at the dinner table
thanks Parker. another Great video. that is a cool junkyard. better to be there in the cold, when its warm snakes everywhere.
What a yard. Love to have that chevelle.
I stopped by that place a few years ago. I didn’t think he’d let me look around but figured it wouldn’t hurt to ask. He said I could walk around but he was leaving to go do something else. It was hard to see everything there but really amazing collection. I didn’t know he passed away. Hate to hear that.
Can you please tell us the location?

I always watch these videos with pleasure 👍 but also with great sadness to see that dirt and those pearls left to rot like this 😭😭
There definitely nice but, would have to be an incredible bargain to even be able to bring one of those back to life because of the cost to restore.
The station wagon 😍
hi great ep its a gold mine of cars a lot of nice mopars.
Incredible Mopar collection, but yes looks like too many years have passed for these cars to be restored. Did pickup on the missing trim tags on lots of these autos. Nephew said “O yea got a bunch of them sitting in coffee cans”. Mmm what was uncles plan for those tags ??
We couldn`t see any of the frames, that is key, unless you are buying a brand new high dollar rolling chassis and crate motor, fixing that body, complete new interior and gauges, tires wheels and paint. I got you at about $80K and at the end of the day, it`s still only a 318 Charger or 318 Challenger. They were parted out because they had some nice panels on them.
Probably no titles to most of those cars. Unlikely to see them get restored. But hopefully!
Not hard to get a new title. Had to get a new one for a 1950 Oldsmobile. DMV officer checks computer etc came out saw the car. Done in no time thought it would be difficult. The idea scares a lot of people but go for it!
It a shame them cars are rotting away like the Titanic , would love to see them all back on the road .
Great find! They should be saved if possible.
You can buy anything from him but seems everything is going to have a sentimental value upcharge on it
Very cool!!!!! 👍👍
When these cars were parked they weren’t classics, they were just old cars that nobody wanted.
