I purchased a ringneck dove (similar to the ones in the video) and after letting it get some free roam in my room in my apartment and then getting a cage for it... It's favorite perching spot.... is on the top of my head. It can be anywhere it wants...... top of my head is its favorite, whether im wearing gaming headsets or audiophile headsets. As a matter of fact, its perched on top of my head now as im typing this. Sometimes it will preen my hair and even my ears/neck. its even facing the tv to watch these vids. It doesn't coo loudly so it must be a female.
The sound of doves cooing and that "soft laughing noises" they make puts me in a peaceful trance. Their sounds do not bother me at all, in fact they're soothing birds singing me to sleep. I've lived in southern California and Tucson, Arizona...these doves are everywhere in the wild and I just love these beautiful birds.

@@younessh_j_j I put down some cooked rice, sometimes bread. They are used to me now and the fledglings come to feed too. I have also sparrows with their babies. Make the source of food accessible. If you are on a terrace, have the food on a table or where they can see it and make yourself scarce to begin with until they get used to you. They will eventually recognize you and your voice. Careful if you have cats though. they won't come if they see a threat. Good luck. They really are a joy to watch. I spent my childhood with these birds,we call them Lakhumbray in Pakistani language I use to have all colour in them,, Red ,grey,white, brown And had them in big cage every year get them bread Best moment in morning when they all call

(Joke) I got a dove that does that and I will happily give you mine for free because I can't stand him. He sings too much. Sometimes my mom hears him at like 1 in the morning
The poop is real. We have one that lives in our house and as adorable as she is, her poop is a level of hell I didn't know existed. And I have 3 horses, 10 chickens a goat and a sheep. The dove trumps the all for stealth pooping.
Oh my goodness your doves are so precious. I recently lost one, got really sick and I'm still very sad but I still have one and I love him so much. Doves are so cute and sweet precious pets send by god to bring love and peace into our lives 🤗🤗🕊🕊
