I absolutely love Ultra Male! I have enough of it for my lifetime. But that's the beauty and complexity of fragrances. It's subjective with every nose.
Interesting take! I actually tested this on my girl friends. I seperate them into two groups, group a) those who somewhat knows about fragrance, and b) those that doesn't really care about fragrance as much. With group a) 2/4 said they love the UM. Meanwhile with b) 7/7 said that they love it. I don't really know what to conclude from that, but that's that. I don't really love the UM, but I don't hate it. Would wear sometimes, but not all the time
Ultra male is incredible. One of my top 5 fragrances. All fragrances are subjective so I respect your opinion. YSL Bleu Electrique is up there for me too, I can’t belive it’s being discontinued …
I got a sample of Naxos and I love and and am looking to buy a full bottle, but is there a difference between the Naxos all white bottle, and the clear one??
Its subjective...it works for me. Men think I'm wearing a sweet sandlewood and almond scent. I guess thats how it hits the radar so to speak. I love it and will keep it in the collection
I prefer Le Male Perfum, personally. It seems more dark and mysterious unlike Le Male or Ultra male which is louder, sweeter, and in your face. Le Male Le Parfum smells more mature, closer to your skin, yet , has that delicious sweet DNA from the original.
I have to say that i kinda feel the same way about Ultra Male. I tried it almost a year ago at a retail store and the first time I tried it I liked the opening of the fruity pear but later on my skin it didn't smell that good and it was sickenly sweet. I gave it one more try a few weeks ago as my nose developed even more with fragrances through time and I still don't like it! It's just overly sweet for me even tho I am a young guy (and it's supposed to be an awesome frag for me cause it seems every young one and teen like really Sweet scents).
I believe JPG predominantly markets to gay men, so your take makes sense. That being said, I am straight and I LOVE ultra male. I am a very playful and quite feminine straight man so it matches my personality well. Ya, most girls find me too girly, but that's my authentic self and some girls really like that about me. 🤷♂I think being confidently yourself and playing to your audience is best. But if you just want to appeal to women in a masculine way, just get something boring and crowd pleasing like Sauvage, Bleu De Chanel, or Dylan Blue.
i dont think thats the right approach if the only reason a guy wears a fragrance is to get a girls attention. i never think that way, i put on a fragrance for myself if i enjoy it. as for ultra male, clubbing or night out fragrance for the cooler weather, i dont think mfk is going to come up with a fragrance thats useless. i would suggest for anyone interested to go to the nearest fragrance selling place and check it out for yourself.
Thanks Melissa, I now put your opinion above every other fragrance reviewer out there, and I’ve followed a dozen of them, including Jeremy, Radolecence, BBB, Monika Cioch, Bowtie Guy, Demi, Curly, Dallas and so on, and after trying dozens of samples I’ve come to the realization that you and I have the same nose, I’ve liked all the perfumes you like and vis-versa. I also love the opening of Ultra Male, I’ve tried one spray on skin on 2 separate occasions and it turned nauseating after 1 hr, and I ended up having to scrub it off both times. My wife loves it though. I know you love Cedrat Boise, could you please do a review on its Intense flanker, I wish to know if it’s better than the OG, which I love but chose not to buy to keep my collection small. All the other reviewers are giving it rave reviews, but I’ll wait for yours.
I'm the opposite! I actually didn't like it at first, I was like nah this isn't good. The more i smelled it throughout the day on my arm I was like wow this is freaking amazing. Glad I tried it cuz I have two 200ml bottles

Ultra Male is a must have in my lineup HOWEVER I never spray it by itself. I use it on my Blue fragrances to add some sweetness on top of the fresh and clean scent. Ultra Male + Sauvage EDP is amazing
doesnt work in hot or humid weather, but it is awesome for chill and cold weather, and people should really think about this before trying or buying any frag. out of my whole collection I got by far best compliment for this one. people adore it or dont like it, I never got neutral comment about it. And it smells different on each person. i would rate it 12 out of 10. i disagree so much i had to unsubscribe
Agreed!!! I bought Ultra Male and OG Le Male quite a while ago. They're both still pretty full sitting in their presentations. I never reach for either. There's always something better in my collection to wear. 🤷🏼♂
100000% agreed. I dated a girl who used to wear Fantasy by Britney Spears. Very sweet, very vanilla, and a bit much....Ultra Male, to me, smells what I remember Fantasy to smell like. I was not expecting this almost nauseating level of sweet. I just got a bottle 2 weeks ago, wore it for about a week, and outside of a cold winter day here and there, will probably never wear this again. In one week of wearing it I had a random drunk woman tell me "You smell so f$#*ing good", my girlfriend tell me I smell like a candy corn, and a female-friend tell me I smell like a woman. You are definitely going to get attention with this fragrance, but it's not always going to be positive. If you were going out to a bar or club and wanted every person to smell you in hopes that at least one of them would like the scent and approach you, then this is the way to go...but be prepared for a few side eyes and potentially negative comments.
Yh i agree, i got it because of the reviews. First time spraying it i hated it, decided to wait a couple of days to see if the scent would grow on me, It did. But if i had an occasion it certainly would not be my first or second even third choice tbh...couple you review the luna rossa black contemplating buying it
I had it years ago and it was way too sweet and strong so sold it straight away. The opening is too much but the mid and dry down is nice. I just recently got a partial and it’s still pretty much the same. I prefer to wear layton over this, they’re both vanilla heavy but honestly not a massive fan of that one either

might be a NY thing, but ultramale and armaf (edp) get the best reactions. I do 3 sprays of ultramale to work and I had a female coworker try to take my hoodie because she loved the scent.
I really enjoy Ultra Male and it has gotten me attention! I have almost the same opinion on D&G light blue intense…everybody hyped it but I find it smells weird, and I don’t get any compliments for it, actually I go one opposite of a compliment.
I like ultramale think it gives great performance and have gotten many compliments from women wearing it. The cologne that I think is overrated is the Spicebomb Extreme. Just too potent and overbearing.
Never take anyone's word. Try it out for yourself. You might really like it. If you like scents with fruit because it has Pear in it. I love it. That's her opinion.

You don’t need to buy that one anymore anyway. The Le Male now is currently JPG Le Male Le Parfum black bottle. It’s super sexy and has gotten me many compliments just like Azzaro The Most Wanted and Prada Luna Rossa Black. 🖤🌹
MUCH LIKE AVENTUS, ULtramale appeals primarily to males. I’m not saying girls dislike ultramale (or Aventus) but we don’t like them NEARLY as much as men do.
I feel the same about Initio Oud for Greatness. I'm like wtf people like it so much. To me it smells like bug spray and pine Sol. Same with Fahrenheit, why would I want to smell like a grease monkey. But again to eat its own and if people love it, that's awesome.
Oud for Greatness is a shapeshifter for me. The first time I tried it on, it was super strong and basically cleared the room with one spray lol. The second time it came off softer and sweeter. I'm not sure what changed, though. I still need to experiment with it but I do like it!

Agreed. I tried hard as fuck to like it. It smells too synthetic like a Mexican tortilla or something. All I keep thinking when I smell it. I guess it’s the vanilla note but it’s so synthetic it’s horrible to a quality nose.
This happened the same thing to me. I bought a sample of le male elixir and I completely hate the fragrance. I tried to like it cause of all the hype about it and I couldn’t. It just smell like a silicone factory to me 🤢.

That was spicebomb extreme for me. Everyone loves it, but it just reminds me of the hallmark Section in a store. Everyone loves it and I don’t see it lol.
To be fair, spicebomb extreme is very limited in its wearability. It's really only suitable for the holiday season from November to January imo. During "Christmas season" there is no other fragrance that I want to smell like more than spicebomb extreme.

I loved it the first time smelled it and wore it for a while. As my collection grew, that’s when it started to become cloying to me.

I think this works on pretty boys like k-pop stars or timothy chalamet..not for hyper masculine like the rock or chris hemsworth.

Givenchy Pi is rated almost 5 stars but to me I just don’t like it. Same way you don’t like Ultra Male, some like it. To each their own I suppose.

I feel the same about Initio Oud for Greatness. I'm like wtf people like it so much. To me it smells like bug spray and pine Sol. Same with Fahrenheit, why would I want to smell like a grease monkey. But again to eat its own and if people love it, that's awesome.
Oud for Greatness is a shapeshifter for me. The first time I tried it on, it was super strong and basically cleared the room with one spray lol. The second time it came off softer and sweeter. I'm not sure what changed, though. I still need to experiment with it but I do like it!

Agreed. I tried hard as fuck to like it. It smells too synthetic like a Mexican tortilla or something. All I keep thinking when I smell it. I guess it’s the vanilla note but it’s so synthetic it’s horrible to a quality nose.

To be fair, spicebomb extreme is very limited in its wearability. It's really only suitable for the holiday season from November to January imo. During "Christmas season" there is no other fragrance that I want to smell like more than spicebomb extreme.
