- Great winter steam action on the Grand Canyon Railway. It’s February and it’s cold and a great time for steam as 2-8-0 #29 and 2-8-2 #4960 handle two days of photo charters.
Enjoy great action with each locomotive individually as well as doubleheaded between Williams and Grand Canyon Village including Coconino Canyon!
❤
Take a ride on the Grand Canyon Railway in the Winter
I enjoyed watching the winter captures on the Grand Canyon Railway. I recently saw steam in the snow on the east coast 👍
Great program! I LOVE the Grand Canyon Railway (GCRY)😄👍
That shot at MP 56 (16:28) always gave me goosebumps. What a beautiful machine. 🔥
There's nothing like the sound of the steam engine and the whistle. 😅
Enjoyed watching!
Glad you liked it!
For some reason, I feel like I was there while watching this video….
Oh wait….I was there, haha! First time I was ever on a Lerro charter, and then I got to be conductor for the one at TVRM the next spring!
Yes I remember you at GCRY and of course at TVRM!
I was watching your video from the TVRM charter. Didn’t even realize that was you riding in the cab of the 630 with me, Brian and Evan on that Sunday.
4960 and 29 are best friends
You mean, the best DUO! The perfect pair even! But best friends? It kinda sounds a little weird, don’t ya think?
Nope. But, the do match, kinda.
Nice Video
I really take ride the Grand canyon Railway
You better get your tickets then.
Awesome video 🚂👍🚃
It almost feels like being right there next to you!
Yeah, during the Williha scene I felt that you were looking over my shoulder...
There should be a rule that people with clicking camera shutters should never be allowed on photo charters.
*Nervously cowers in corner*
Why not get a much quieter camera shutter, or take a picture with your phones? I mean with the ringers off, obviously.
where is 295,237 and 235 in the video
Same engines as the Napa valley express
You mean the Napa Valley Wine Train? They don’t have any steam locomotives on that railroad.
That's why they still use alco diesels
I am your new subscriber! I love your vids
I didn't know that the grand canyon had a railway
And now you know. This railway has been around for a long time after all.
So neat to see! I remember hearing distant trains when out west, but never saw tracks.
This is a great show.
