Another bad ass well written song by Stevie & crew. I credit Lillian Axe as 1 of the most important influences & reasons I started playing live music. From age 16 gigging in clubs with a fake ID to now age 51 still doing what I love. Tagging along with my brother to watch Lillian Axe started at age 11 - St Francis (RIP Mr Johnny Vines) then years later getting to open up for Near Life Experience I will always support these guys. With songs this well written it isn't hard to do. The inventive chord progression & arrangement are beyond unique, in any style of music it's never been done before. Let's not forget the epic harmonies supporting a tough as nails vocal melody actually written within the singers vocal range. Will I get the album? Yes I will ! I remember Adam Curry introducing their debut video. Took me forever to actually find the tapes. Yes, tapes, plural. Didnt track them down until after their 2nd one was out. Easier now to just order from the website. Not so easy to find smaller bands then. Usually had to special order them.

Actually Lillian Axe was my band since 1983. When I got the first record deal in 1987 with MCA, I asked Ron, Jon and Rob from Stiff to join the band. I knew Stiff from touring the same circuit. They were great guys and very talented. They agreed and we did the first album soon after.

That was also the logo for Stiff Records back in the late 70’s and 80’s. The Plasmatics were one of the bands on the Stiff label.

Not to mention, ever since the 2000's till present, most of your albums sound the same. It's like Yngwie Malmsteen. All of his albums post the Eclipse albums are all basically the same rehashed songs. It's great music, just like your music is great too. But it all sounds the same.
Your best stuff is your heavier material like "Pulling the Rats Out", "Become A Monster", "Letters in the Rain", "Fools Paradise".
Even "Dream of a Lifetime" minus the long winded over produced dream sequence in the intro was a banger.
Then there's your much heavier side in your Near Life Experience band.
You "Days of Silver Sun" album is filled with great guitar work. One of my favorite all time albums. When I pop that CD into my CD player ...it gets played from start to finish.
"Rock And Roll Killed the Family" is sick AF.
Like you said, it's your show. But the money in our back pocket is our money. If you don't want to receive respectful constructive criticism, that's your free moral agency right.
But accusing people of being disrespectful for saying something that over 90% of your fans agree with, that without Ron, there is no Lillian Axe is really a disconnect from reality fed by your ego.
That's like believing it's disrespectful to say that without Jimmy Page, there is not Led Zeppelin. Not to compare you to Led Zeppelin, but just saying.

Totally wrong. Please listen and understand. I will state this simply. Everyone has an opinion. That doesn’t mean that stating it in a disrespectful fashion is to be accepted as just an opinion. To state that someone doesn’t like something as much for a reason is totally acceptable, but to do it rudely is not. Why is my opinion less than someone else’s ? The point is that it is a simple thing to say whatever you want without the consideration of incredible work and efforts of lots of people have put into this organization for years. Would it be ok for me to view your hard work and simply say “ it’s terrible because I you didn’t do it the way I wanted?” Not at all. Everyone has opinions. How you express them is what shows your character. If someone would rather hear another singer, by all means, please go listen to whatever they are doing now, but to say something mean spirited is just not cool whatsoever. And I will end with one thought. You made the comment that the band would not have been successful without a certain situation. The success we have had has been due to many many people not just one. If the success was due to only one person, I would assume that person is still out there for you to follow and should be achieving success on their own. Also, don’t mistake ego for sticking up for what’s right.
