Can you just use it with Bluetooth connected to another phone to dial and receive calls without a SIM inside? I ask because 2G/3G is basically dead in the U.S. It's on sale today on Amazon for about $21 plus tax. I would just use it as a novelty. I'll keep my usual cellphone in my pocket while pulling this out telling people I've now downsized to this phone. ;)
