Let's try
I'm from Se Portland, but I've been in Vietnam for 2 years now, currently in Mui Ne. I rarely feel homesick because I live here and it's so nice, but I was crying while watching this. You showed the places where I went to school and where I worked, even the big super market where I shopped. And showed me that there's even a an chay restaurant back home! Thank you so much for making this video, it absolutely made my day ❤ Everybody should support their local Vietnamese restaurant! And travel to this beautiful and diverse country :)
Mui Ne is a great place. And I recommend Vung Tau as well, an excellent next destination for you in Vietnam. You will love the weather and the beach there, and it's close to Ho Chi Minh city, 3 hours driving only, you will have a great experience.

I can tell how happy Max was when he got to speak Vietnamese again.
I intend to say that, he said "Dạ!" that makes me so proud of him, because this word can show the respect of us to others that the same to "Yes, please!" but sounds more graceful and polite

I live in Canada with not so many great vietnamese restaurants so i make my own Bun Bo Hue and Pho with an instant pot . It comes out tremendous. I also buy the spring rolls and air fry them and buy frozen green onion cakes from a local vietnamese gentleman and fry them up. Vietnamese food is by far my favourite asian food.
You should make com tam, banh cuon, bun rieu, banh xeo, banh khot, bun thit nuong, anything with lemongrass in it, all the iterations of salads (goi) and salad rolls, fried spring rolls, banh mi, etc. But make sure you have a platter of fresh herbs, veggies, and nuoc cham. There's some pretty great options in my neck of the woods. The fact that he said all of the Vietnamese words correctly is just amazing he says banh mi other people say “BAnG Mi” you really need that Vietnamese ascent it’s hard
First of all, tysm Max for loving our country- Việt Nam very much. Thank u for all your sincere affection, ur correct infor about Vietnamese food. Throughout the video, I really experienced a lot of emotions, from crying because of touching to laughing happily when u correctly pronounce the names of Vietnamese dishes.
love binds this world. From strangers from different countries, as long as we take the time to learn about each other's countries, I believe that love will spread all over the world and we will love all the countries in this world :) and I don't know why, although I have eaten these foods: Pho, Banh Mi, Bun Bo Hue, ... every day, but when I watch this video, I'm craving like I haven't eaten it for a long time. Maybe I should go eat Pho right now hehee , and Vietnam has many other delicious dishes waiting for you to find out and enjoy , Max 💖
@futachann
Yes em
You are very correct
👍
Still watching you Max, you make me feel missing Vietnam so much , we all love you Max
Dude, the way you spell "banh mi" and "ca phe sua da"(icy coffee), "bun bo hue"(Hue's beef noodle), "nhieu"(much) almost like native Vietnamese, and the way you introduce Vietnamese foods in restaurants running by Vietnamese overseas community really impressed me. I hope someday can visit the US and try myself the smelly, delicious cuisines made by these talented chefs who bring our Vietnamese culture to the world. Anyways, love your content and the way your portrayed our delicacies. You got a new subscriber!
iced coffee hoy cha, icy coffee là cà phê đông thành cục nước đá luôn á. 🤪
VN miss you !
From VietNam with love!!!
Welcome back to 🇺🇸 .. appreciate all you do my friend.. luv & blessings from NJ 🇺🇸❤️🙏🏽
That bowl of noodle soup at the end of your video… gollyyyyyyy I want it now!! Mouth is salivating.
Welcome back Max :) Long time no see. Hope you had a good break man.
Thank you buddy
Last place looked like some authentic Vietnamese. Man, I've been outta Hanoi 3 months now and I'm itching to get back in a few weeks. Portland reminds me of the boring suburbs I'm stuck in right now in Canada haha. Nothing can compare to the energy of Vietnam.
it's great to see your new video popped up. I saw the Vietnamese part of you from the first time seeing a foreigner enjoying ca phao with mam tom. Stay safe and keep up your good work!
haha I will continue to enjoy more ch phao and mam tom
Love this, I've followed you when u started video in VietNam, hope u still find vietnamese around yours area.
Hi Max - truly appreciate your love with the Vietnamese foods and culture. Keep it up 👍
Glad you could visit Portland, its my hometown 😁 I'm an American born Vietnamese (parents were vietnam war era immigrants) and yes the Viet community around here is great. I've only had the chance to visit Vietnam once in the past though, but hope to go again soon when I get the chance. Your vlogs in Vietnam have been a blast to watch in the meantime though.
@Vy Huynh
Hello em
I'm chinh Michael, yes, I must say you are right I did visited Portland about twice, the Vietnamese people there are nice
You might have heard this many times but your Vietnamese is getting better Max
Cafe Sua Da is my all time favorite. I especially love to visit the many sidewalk cafe's in and around downtown Saigon and beyond. I am so looking forward to returning. Thanks for posting, Max.
