- Hey Bakers,
This week I have an easy scones recipe. This is the same as the rusks recipe and it works well either way.
Here's the recipe below:
125g butter
1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
5ml vanilla essence
1 cup of amasi/maas
3 cups flour (1/2 cup extra for dusting and working)
3 tsp baking powder
I baked at 180 degrees for 10-15 minutes (until golden)

How did it go?
❤
Nice recipe, well done.Could yoghurt be used in place of the amasi? Or what could be used in it's place, I mean what it called in English?
Definitely. You can use yoghurt. I’m not sure what is the English word but its like curdled milk. So even if you add a few lemon drops to normal milk and let it sit for 10 minutes, you will see the milk thicken to make buttermilk. You can also use that.
How many cups of flour, how many tea spoons of baKing powder?
