Exploring Addis Ababa: Traditional Ethiopian Dancing, Shopping, And Food In A Few Days

Join me on a work trip to Ethiopia! This was such an incredible experience, especially with my admiration for this country since they were never colonised (only a short occupation by the Italians). The country, to me, represents cultural identity, authenticity and freedom. The country is not without its own perils, as our African states are not perfect. Despite it being fasting season when we a...

If your shortbread cookies contain butter, you could try to enhance their flavor by infusing the butter beforehand. Gently heat the butter over low heat with rosemary, then let it cool before proceeding with the recipe. :-)
I love this Anna. Thank you so much for sharing. I’ll definitely try this method
I'm just looking into this. Does it taste like regular bread?
No it tastes sour and tastes like sorghum😅 the texture is quite soft since I used cassava as well
@@bakerlikeanita I've never tried Sorghum lol
Isit safe to use a metal spoon when mixing the sourdough?
I was wondering about that. But she seems happy enough with it, so maybe it's not a problem 🤷♀🤔
What would make it unsafe? It’s totally fine and doesn’t affect how to starter performs. I’ve used wooden spoons most of the time purely because they are longer and can mix better
Hi for one egg, what should the ratio of applesauce and apple cider vinegar be?
Thanks for sharing
어떤 재료를 넣었어요?
21 year old Xhosa young man and I really relate but what I relate with you is also a secret 😆. It's secret because I had to discover the mystery of me I wish I could fully share but it's a secret and I discovered the mystery. Still growing each and every day❤️.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
When i did equal parts sorghum and water it was a super thick paste. Is that Normal?
Love the content ❤ Keep it up!
Thinks for the teaching . Please, what will go wrong if we dnt discard half of the starter?
It’s a scientific process which I can’t explain 😫 but it basically helps the starter to grow when you introduce new flour. You’ll have too much starter if you just keep feeding and it won’t rise or perform well
Having loud music on the whole time is insane!!! No ways!😭😭😭😭
My favourite recipe to watch
interesting, how much of the sorghum and water did you use
I want to be invited so badly😢
Hi Zimtoto😊... Can I call you Zimtoti? I am back and this time I am rolling my sleeves and making my sorghum starter. Wish me luck.
I plan to go on bus in May 2025. I needed to know what to expect. Lovely video❤
Where are you coming from?
12:08 uhhh, you taking husband applications?
Woow this interesting ❤
Thank you for making a proper well edited video, I’ve seen others that are just unwatchable, the other one was travelling from zim to Cape Town and a whole 2 min was spent on us watching him eating a chicken piece, imagine a whole 2min of him eating chicken
I could watch you bake the whole time! 🤩😭 Seventh birthday blessings to you and your journey. 🌸 I’m wondering: what kind of environment do you keep the starter in, especially since you realized that the weather affects the process?

Hej Anita! Can you give tips what to take in terms of paper, cash and what to avoid... I want to do from Zimbabwe, Malawi, Tanzania and then kenya (skipping Madagascar)
Kariba sana Tanzania
Hey thanks for engaging us... Can i make an appointment with you?
I want to go and visit Malawi and to place Zumba town and visit that Emperors place I like those falls but first I must learn the language chichewa I have a friend with the name of Godfrey Zuze a Malawian guy is teaching me basic words of chichewa ❤❤🎉
Oh wow... This is amazing. I am inspired. Thank you for taking us along to the eco-village... Wow wow wow.
Thank you for watching Munene. The Zulu on Earth eco village is growing and they are doing amazing things. Maybe you can come along when we go back there?
You are inspiring me to travel more. I have only been to Zimbabwe, very beautiful natural sites. I want to go to Lesotho next.
I would love to see Lesotho too! Especially during winter when it’s snowing
Your scones look divine! Thanks for sharing.
You are so welcome!
Thanks for traveling with Ulemu bus from jhb
First time here, loving this. Any reads available on our precious foods as Bantu or Ngunis? and areas where one can get sorghum, millets and all sorts of African raw and cooked organic food around KZN?
Welcome Dingiswayo! I have been doing some research about book titles. Here are a few: 1. The Africa Cafe Experiemce- Flavoirs of Africa 2. A taste of Africa by Dorinda Hafner 3. In Bibis Kitchen by Hawa Hassan 4. Through the eyes of an African chef by Nompumelelo Mqwebu 5. An African bite by Chef Mbombi modern nose to tail South African cooking I have the sorghum grain available on my website (www.zimtoti.co.za) for delivery all over SA. Should I add millet grain too? I have struggled to find them in large quantities in KZN

Awesome video. You're brave enough to take that stage with that beautiful African dancer 💃. Job well done. Thanks for showing us Ethiopia 🇪🇹 in every direction ❤
Thank you so much 🤗 it was so much fun I didn’t even think about going on stage. I had to do it 🤣best night ever!
You look prettier without the scarf!
You made me home seek, thanks for that..😏
Aww you have a beautiful country ✨❤️
Most beautiful video ever
That means a lot! Thank you. Hoping to share more travel videos here
wow, living vicariously and learning through you! You are a gem ❤️
Glad I could be of service 😅Thank you so much 😍Btw Mercury rising is one of my favourite movies ever 😫🤌🏾
Your vlog is awesome I want to visit. It safe am an Indian from South Africa Durban
Malawi felt really safe for me. There are quite a few Indian owned restaurants and businesses in Malawi so I think it would be safe for you too.
U missed a lot of important places and info. There is alot of room for improvement madam. Check how other traveller's do it
Perhaps you could share those important places and info for her to "improve" that would've been more constructive than just "check how other Travellers do it" 🙄 Somw of us enjoyed HER style of vlog.

Hey love the content ,what documents do you need to travel ?
Just your passport and some cash for the border gates. They sometimes ask for other documentation like COVID Vaccination but they actually want cash. Thanks for watching ☺️
@bakerlikeanita thank you , do they take South African rands ?
@GangDigitals because our currency is generally stronger, they do prefer Rands
not me salivating at the baked goodies, looks so good 🤭
I think that means I’m doing something right 😅☺️

You have a very beautiful home. So captivating and peaceful 🌊

You are brave
That’s what the Malawians said when we arrived and they heard we took the bus😂
Loved the vlov. Drill hall is like my second home. Used to dance there . I have questions about gardening part : - Do we have to wet the box tht we put inside first or we just put it as dry as it is - how can one become a part of the young people , I want to go where you go ND be invited to all you do. I love it ❤
I love how the Drill Hall community is all over 🌎 You don’t have to wet the box. It will absorb moisture as you add your soil and water. You can please follow @exoticallydivine_pulse on Instagram to keep up with all we do. I am also hosting a tea party on 18 May in Soweto ☺️ 🫖
