Thanks for your review. I’ve got a question in regards to the blending; do you have to stand there and keep turning it? It’s not an automatic burst of 10 second or something along those lines?
Amazing review! I am a new mom of a 4 month old and I am very excited to start pureeing food for her and this review has motivated me to stop second guessing and buy the food maker.
Awesome! I hope you enjoy it and have fun making yummy and healthy food for your little one. Congratulations on being a mom. Consider subscribing to my channel for helpful tips on child development 👍🏽. Thanks for watching!
It depends on what you will be steaming. For instance if you will be cooking hard roots like potatoes, yams, beets, etc I would recommend starting with lever 3 of water. It will also depend on how small you cut the pieces and how much to will be cooking at once. There were a few time I overstuffed the basket and needed to put level 3 more than once to attain the desired consistency. For soft foods like kale, spinach, and berries I usually used level 1. Hope this helps!
Hiii. Thanks for the video. Clear & very helpful. I m using mine for the first time, following all step, pushing the button to cool, it’s turning on.. bip bip sound and turning off… nothing happen. Any particular things to do for the 1st utilisation ? Thank you for any guidances
I’m glad you found the video helpful. So the first step is to fill the reservoir with the necessary amount of water. Then put your veggies/fruit/or meats in the steam basket. Then you close it and push the button- it should be steaming for a couple of minutes and then it will beep to let you know it’s finished. Let me know if this makes sense.
Hi - thanks for the review! If you wanted the consistency to be a little thinner, would you just add water/breastmilk to the container to mix it all together? Or within your bowl? I tend to overthink things like this so any info is really helpful!
Yes, I would mix breast milk into the container right before mixing- but you can also just add more milk directly into the purée until you reach desired consistency. The other levels such as lever 1 or 2 have to do with the amount of time you’ll be steaming. Level one is recommended for hearing already made purées. Level 2 for green beans, apple, pears, strawberries, and citrus. Everything else level 3. Cooking time is as follows: level 1 about 9 minutes, level 2 about 15 minutes, and level 3 about 20 minutes. Hope this helps 👍🏽!
I never made beef but it did mix small cubes of chicken with veggies. Ground turkey and veggies was a hit too, just adjust the liquid to help with the mixture or it will be too dry.
Thank you for such a helpful review! I’m considering buying this but read a lot of reviews that it was hard to clean and black mold formed. Have you experienced this? Thanks!
The reviews really made me double think this product as well. However, I’ve been using is for over 4 months now and I do not have mold. I do hand wash it EVERY single time after each use. I also make sure all parts are completely dry before storing it. The plastic backer does stain a bit after using it with thinks such as beets and sweet potatoes. Cleaning in it is super easy, I don’t know what other may be referring to 🤷🏽♀️.
That’s weird because I’ve used mine up to the #3 line and it has never overflowed? How are you measuring the water that needs to go into the reservoir?
@@mightykiddos Hello, yes, I have seen several reviews about this specific model, where they show photos of the water reservoir, where the water goes for cooking, as it is so fine, you cannot put your hand in to clean it, and there are several comments saying that by it is used it becomes dirty and as if burned. I hope now you can understand what I mean. Thank you...
Thanks for explaining. Yes, the water reservoir gets dirty overtime as any cooking appliance. That is why it is recommended to descale (in other words clean) the reservoir. The Beaba website has instructions on how to do that. I highly recommend cleaning it often if you use it daily. The website gives detailed information 👍🏽.
Sooo...you got it as a present or bought it? Consistency darling, consistency, also that plastic is so, so, soooo clean and transparent after 2.5 months of use (mine got coloured/opaque after 3 weeks)...ps...crappy product
Well that’s unfortunate that yours did not hold up well. I’ve hand washed mine after every use and have had no trouble with it. I still stand by my recommendation based on my personal experience with it.
Your best point is on safety. I totally forget things on the stove. Glad I found this review.
Safety is key 👍🏽

Yes, you do need to turn the dial for blending for as long as you want to blend.

Oh another thing, what kind of things would you use the different water levels for? Here you used 3 for sweet potato…what about 1 or 2? Thanks again!
Hi Patty, I responded this question along with l your other question in the previous thread.
Thanks for watching!
this was such an excellent and thorough review, thank you!
Thank you!

Easier to do than using the manual. Thank you.😊

Hi, I am making apple purée and it says to put water to level 2. It spilled out of the tank as it couldn’t hold that amount of water
That’s weird because I’ve used mine up to the #3 line and it has never overflowed? How are you measuring the water that needs to go into the reservoir?
Hello, don't you put the dirty black tank where the cooking water is? I've seen some reviews that say that
Hi, I don’t think I understand what you are referring to. Would you mind elaborating?

What's the cost and were can we order?
You can buy it on Amazon or Bed, Bath, and Beyond. The cost is under $200. Mine was a gift so I can’t quote an exact price.
