Excited to check out another track from TOOL’s new album! You guys said this one was absolutely necessary, so here we are! You guys want older or more newer Tool for the next time we come around to them?! Let us know down below!! Cheers guys! 🔥🤟🏻
Older Tool please guys. Don't get me wrong, I love the new Album but there's so much to explore in the previous albums. may I suggest "Right in two". Keep up the good work. Love your reaction videos
Of the people I know and several reactions, many people are torn between Invincible and Pneuma as the best songs. I go back and forth myself. I saw a comment from a guy the other day that said basically my favorite Tool song is whichever one I just listened to. The transitions in Invincible are epic to me.
@@user-pr3ft6gp8t The last 4 minutes or so are some of the best Tool has to offer. I mean, I like the entire thing, the lyrics and the slow build up. But for people who just want "how intense can Tool get" yeah, its the last 4 - 5 minutes of that song or so.
Gotta check out the Danny Carey drum iso video of a concert playing this song. it will blow your mind. As a drummer, that was the moment I conceded the torch had been passed from Neal Peart to Carey as the Greatest Drummer Alive.
Yeah, except probably for the guitars on Descending. In certain parts from the 7:00 mark, there is too much fuzz and amplification on Jones guitar on the album version to my mind. The notes lack the simplicity and sharpness heard on the original live versions first played back in May or so. The music is great, but that section seems over produced to me. The bass and drum recordings are spot on though.
@@andrewlockett4569 That's interesting. I'll have to listen to it again to know what you mean. My favorite tracks are Pneuma and Invincible. There's one thing I don't like about the new album, and that's the shrill ping noise in the beginning of the Fear Inoculum track. I'm sensitive to that kind of pitch so I have to skip the intro.
Justin Chancellor's bass work never gets enough credit from most reactors. It's instrumental (no pun intended) to their sound and is always phenomenal. And for what it is worth, Descending is the best track on the new album in my personal opinion.
Every Tool song is mind altering and soul stretching in one way or another. They are an inner experience of high frequency and unique for each indivudual. You get what you need and still so much more is always offered. Take another step...and continue to spiral out!
I have to thank you guys. You're playing stuff I really like. I'm an old sound guy from the 70's and I love listening to well mixed music. Thank you guys!
lots of criticism initially with this album but its not the 90’s anymore folks. Great track, great new modern mature TOOL. The more I listen the more I dig it. 9.5+. Have you reviewed“Right in Two” yet? Dewwwitt 😎
We need some Andy & Alex emojis! At times you both have very emotive facial expressions. As for Tool, they have become background music for me. I enjoy them more if I don't concentrate on the music and just let it flow around me. I'm always interested in analyzing their lyrics though. Great video, guys! Have a safe and joyful New Year's Eve.
I am partial to "Descending" on this album, but I am also really into "Culling Voices" as an underrated track on the album. Also, if you truly want to get "lost in the sauce," you have to check out Disposition/Reflection/Triad from Lateralus. 22 minutes of pure bliss.
Pneuma is their masterpiece I have seen them three times in concert . Every album has that one song , even though all of them are badass there is that one song that is just freaking awesome on each album.
Tool is a group that you have to sit and listen without interruption. Sure you can play in the background, but you'll under-appreciate the minutia of their work. What these 2 guys did here is the right way to experience/appreciate their work.
Please react to porcupine tree - anesthetize live in tilburg. They are one of the best band ever and gavin Harrison is on par with Danny for me. You will have a blast listening that song
Happy New year guys. Thanks for the entertainment in 2019. Great to see your channel grow from this time last year. Back then it was just Andy, Pink Floyd, Black Sabbath and one or two others. Looking forward to another 150 or so reactions over the coming year. Best wishes from Burniston, UK.
If I don't hear this song everyday, then I'm too sick to get out of bed. Wait!, I take that back my husband could play it for me. I was worried there for a minute. can't wait to see Tool downunder in Melbourne Feb.22, my life is leading to this.
Good reaction! My favorite Tool song right now....just because they are more evolved spiritually and musically ....yes I agree...you have to somehow let go the older stuff because we are at different stage in life.
In one interview Danny Carey said it takes him 2 weeks to build up all drums for an album, Justin spends about 2 months and Adam needs about half a year for all his guitar drawings
Love you guys...it's cool watching you discover great music and the emotions they bring. I know you have delved into Yes a bit. I believe you guys have reacted to "Roundabout", a good song and "Owner of a Lonely Heart" from later in the bands career and IMO not the best example of what made Yes as well thought of as they have come to be. Next time you go back to Yes I recommend the epic "Close to the Edge" or if you want something a bit less lengthy perhaps "Siberian Khatru". Also another Prog rock band that I do not recall you listening too is Emerson, Lake and Palmer. ELP was, along with Pink Floyd and Yes, at the lead of prog rock movement in the early 70's. For ELP I would suggest starting with "The Barbarian" from 1970 and then maybe something like "Toccata" from 1973. They are both instrumentals but really do show off the skill of the band, namely Keith Emerson's keyboards and Carl Palmer's drums. If you want to go for the gusto try "Tarkus" which also features Greg Lake's vocals.
What Alex said about not wanting old Tool in 2019 and wanting new Tool makes me wonder, why is it that no matter how many times bands write new music throughout the years, it's always the older songs that are popular with fans? Anyways, great song! I love the lyrics, "We are born of one breath, one word. We are all one spark, eyes full of wonder." I think it's so deep and I love the identity this band has established for themselves: great, meaningful songs, with big production, and changing tempos. Forgive me if I'm wrong, that is just the vibe I get from Tool. The bass riff was really catchy and stood out to me throughout the whole song and I loved the bongos, I thought that was an excellent idea. Because I played percussion in my high school concert and marching band, I love how experimental they are with the percussion instruments! With that being said, great reaction video and have a good one Andy and Alex! :)
Look up a video called TOOL making Fear Inoculum. I think in that interview with one of the engineers they said that for some of it there was a period of 3 or 4 years coming into the studio mon through thursday 8 hrs a day and working on it... It was just that intense... the TH-camr who uploaded the interview is named Cosmic Dawn.
A&A - You've been guiding me and thank you - 10 for me. This flowed into ears in all the right ways. No anxiety! lol Bluesy underpinnings... Seductive quality to it?? It *IS* impeccable & a "keeper" for me. Loved this & reaction. Wow.... Great way to start the week fellas. Have a fantastic day! :)
@@andyandalex Indeed! And, yes... Perfect start to day. I know I'll be revisiting this track again & again. Playlist song! Have feeling this new album is probably all 10's. :) Later!
First time hearing this track. I love the complicated rythmn that messes me up and it all comes together when the section is over. That's what made me fall in love with this band way back when in the olden days. LoL 😆 🤙
To round out the 70s' material, I think you guys should check into BTO - Bachman Turner Overdrive, and Bob Seger (+). Also if you return to Heart, do Barracuda.
Excited to check out another track from TOOL’s new album! You guys said this one was absolutely necessary, so here we are! You guys want older or more newer Tool for the next time we come around to them?! Let us know down below!! Cheers guys! 🔥🤟🏻
Andy & Alex Have you done H. yet? or for something different try close to the edge by yes!
Invincible!
Really you can't go wrong with the tracks from FI
older tool
Older Tool please guys. Don't get me wrong, I love the new Album but there's so much to explore in the previous albums. may I suggest "Right in two". Keep up the good work. Love your reaction videos
I'm along for this ride, so TOOL fans keep suggesting these gems. I'm loving the journey! :)
Remember: Any Tool song you don't do is YOUR loss.
well put my friend!
I literally died laughing when I saw this comment..
This song is the ultimate peak of music in our time...
This tore my face off live. Still recovering. I may never.
This is their masterpiece, in my opinion. Just brilliant musicianship.
I vote 'Descending' next, though 'Invincible' is right there...
I haven't heard all the new tracks yet, but I can't argue with that ranking. Pneuma is indeed a masterpiece!
Yeah. All about Descending but it is definitely close with Invincible.
IMO this song is their Masterpiece! Just absolute perfection.
This track is incredible. A journey that no other band other than Tool can create.
Personally, Invincible is my favorite on this album!
Mine too dude
I keep waiting for my favorite to change again, but Invincible has held the top for a couple of months now.
I keep going between this and Invincible. Can't believe the guys pulled this level of quality off again.
I went from 7empest to invincible to pnema and now it's descending
Mine changes. Im Culling voices now.
The engineering of this LP deserves a Grammy.
Just admit it every Tool song is a perfect 10. you should review their entire catalog
33/8 time signature makes us look drunk when we try to head Bob!

do 'invincible' next
also -- danny carey is the gestalt lovechild of john bonham and neil peart
Totally how I would describe him also! Technically insane and swings heavy!
Throw some Copeland in there = Danny Carey
Pretty sure some octopus is in the mix.
By far my favorite from Fear Inoculum! Pneuma is perfection. So glad you decided to react! SOSO GOOD! 🤘
This song is amazing, but to me, Descending is THE masterpiece of the record and top 5 of all their songs.
hell yes it is. It took a minute to grow on me then BOOM.

Agree 100%. Descending is the best song.
Descending, culling voices and Invincible. Have fun.
Gotta check out the Danny Carey drum iso video of a concert playing this song. it will blow your mind. As a drummer, that was the moment I conceded the torch had been passed from Neal Peart to Carey as the Greatest Drummer Alive.
The production quality on the new album really sets a new bar. It's impeccable. It sounds fantastic on almost any sound system.
Yeah, except probably for the guitars on Descending. In certain parts from the 7:00 mark, there is too much fuzz and amplification on Jones guitar on the album version to my mind. Be sure to check out Danny Carrey playing this live to see a Master of Sauce in action.

I heard he auditioned for TOOL with the diff for 46 and 2. So sickening!
That moment when the perfect band plays the perfect riff. Masterful!!!!!!!

YOU NEED TO REVIEW THE DANNY CARE DRUM CAM VERSION!!! ONE OF THE BEST THINGS I HAVE EVER SEEN!
Saw this live a few weeks ago and I was blown away!!!! Just as good live as it is on the album!! Unbelievable 🤘🏻🤘🏻
I saw it in Sydney... amazing..

Every song on this album is a slow burn and becomes a raging fire once it hits you.
lots of criticism initially with this album but its not the 90’s anymore folks. Great track, great new modern mature TOOL. The more I listen the more I dig it. 9.5+.
Have you reviewed“Right in Two” yet? Dewwwitt 😎
i thought it was a solid 7.5, but its biggest problem is being lumped with solid 10 and 9 in Tool's catalog, still a solid effort though !
You guys should DEFINITELY do INVINCIBLE next, my personal favorite and an absolute amazing track!
We need some Andy & Alex emojis! At times you both have very emotive facial expressions. As for Tool, they have become background music for me. Good background music.
You guys have to watch the Drum cam of Danny doing this song live... OMG he is amazing to watch..
Great reaction, guys! Invincible and Descending are ESSENTIAL. Just go in order. Happy New Year everyone!🎄🥃
I dug this shit from the second I turned it on. EVERY ... FUCKING ... SONG

This album gets better with each listen. Every time.
Old TOOL?, new TOOL?, it's all breath taking.
Best track on the album (my opinion)..
My favorite from Fear Inoculum literally changes from week to week now.
INVINCIBLE!!!!!,!! That is all ;)
This is the best Tool song ever!! And i love all Tool's songs.. this song envelopes you... and you become a part of it
Pneuma is their masterpiece I have seen them three times in concert . Every album has that one song , even though all of them are badass there is that one song that is just freaking awesome on each album.
Tool is one band where I almost always have to close my eyes and just sit back.
A Perfect Circle. Don’t deprive yourselves

A masterpiece composition.
I would love to hear one off each full album: Swamp Song, Hooker with a Penis, Ticks and Leeches, Right in Two, then Invincible.
Time for invincible guys!
Great choice, my personal favorite off the new album, and my song of the year. My vote for the next song is Descending.
Please react to porcupine tree - anesthetize live in tilburg. They are one of the best band ever and gavin Harrison is on par with Danny for me. You will have a blast listening that song
Agree lads, for me this is the best on FI, and one of my favourites from Tool all time.
that was my first listen to this one also, there is deffinatly allot of talent there.
Wow! That was AWESOME! Loved everything about that song! Thank you for this! 💕☮️
Best song on the album.
You already said what’s next: Invincible or Descending.
My vote is for Descending.
This blew my mind when they played it live in Melbourne 22/2/20. I cried they were so fucking good.

This song lets itself breathe. Pun intended.
I was RUSH before RUSH was RUSH ! I don’t know what that means either, but it sounds right to me. That is my music pedigree!
Celebrate the new year with The Outlaws. Green Grass and High Tides,. Freebird's big brother!
Andy! 9.3????? Noooo! This is an all-time!
It took 13 years to release this album.....masterpiece😊

The drums are fucking insane! Danny at his best right there
Fantastic reaction. This song is such a beauty. Good job guys :)
Descending next. Top 5 of Tool's discography.
So much music, so little time. The band Yes. Song, America. Long version. A Simon and Garfunkle cover. Jaw dropping.
One of the best songs ever created
2:57 should be framed 😂 great videos you guys looking forward to more!!
My favorite as well. The drums were leading so well.
You guys gotta check out "When the levee breaks" by A Perfect Circle live at Red Rocks
TOOL - Descending
11:10 PNEUMA! tears me up everytime...
Fear Inoculum is perfect. Perfect. Flawless masterpiece. And its not even their crowning achievement!

Tool recommendations: "Pushit"(live) from Salival album(lyric video), or "Aenema"(with lyrics). "LAMC" is an orchestral masterpiece as well.

As hypnotic a song as was ever recorded.
