    That unlock button does seem like a weak point but this cage/accessory mount does have a lot more positives. I’m highly considering this. Thanks for the great and honest review.

      The unlock button is a small issue....very small issue. I have found that I keep it on the Pocket 3 and pair it with a gimbal cover. That button is more of an annoyance.

    Try the Falcam cage out, you can use their mushroom handel, ,it's got the DJI quick clip on front and back, plus the logs on the rear. And small you can still fit the DJI case on

    appreciate the vid here (and struggle with the same close-up AF lol). typically with Neewer stuff, I'd deal with it since it usually about 1/2 the money of the Tilta or Kondor counterpart ... but with this, i'm not sure i'm seeing the attraction. Tilta you get built-in nato rails, and with the equally priced Ulanzi one, you get 3x DJI click adapter points. While the click adapters might not be for everyone, it makes my day being already within the DJI ecosystem and having those click mounts everywhere for action2, Action 4 etc. For hybrid shooting, quick assembly is paramount and already having all the components, make the Ulanzi an easy win, for me. If Neewer had this in the $14-20 range, perhaps it would be a better choice, but with a fickle track history with Neewer and it's the same money as a premium Tilta cage, might not be the best of options for shooters that demand the best for their gear kit.

      😆 that close up auto focus does take some practice. You are right, the Ulanzi adapter has the magnets. For me I have a whole case of Action Camera accessories and this one allows me to use them without buying another magnet mount. I think you are spot with everything you said. For me I got this one on a deal so it made it more attractive. Thanks for watching

    Thanks ❤️ for sharing, and what i have learnt is you can never have enough mounting points 😆
    I have the ulanzi one, but this one looks 👌 i live checking out new things.
    From my experiences with mounts, aluminium is far better then plastic especially if you want to mount for adventure footage.
    I think they will update the button issue with a newer version.

      I like being able to be flexible and creative using thus mount. I think you are right about the button. Maybe this was a test run. It seemed like they didn't produce many, because they are all sold out.

      @E_DOCWatson that's how we get the updated versions. Plus, as you said, they may have rushed it.

    what camera did you use to flip this? that trying to focus on the item was annoying. Use more light when trying to showcase a dark item. great review made me want to buy.

    • @E_DOCWatson
      @E_DOCWatson  29 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      I used a Canon m6 mk 2. I was hoping the lighting was ok, but it's position could be improved. I am still experimenting with lighting and angles in this type of video. But I'll try what you said, it might work for me. Thanks for the input, I'll try it on the next one! Thanks alot again!

      @@E_DOCWatsonYeh, the focussing was a little distracting. Either see if your camera has a ‘product showcase’ focus mode, or always put your hand out straight a way. The camera will keep focussing on you if it sees your eyes :)

    • @E_DOCWatson
      @E_DOCWatson  20 วันที่ผ่านมา

      You are absolutely right. This style is something I am practicing with. It is a little tricky, but I think I'll get better soon. The other option is to use an overhead cam, which I have done before. Or I might use my Pocket 3 with the product showcase, like you suggested. I have another idea to try soon, so I'll see if that works. Thanks for the tips!

    A couple of issues/points on this. Why buy an accessory that could hold a shotgun mic, when the pocket 3 has the facility to use two wireless DJI Mics?
    Also, if you attach a light to it, doesn’t that make your face lit from the bottom up, giving any vlogging the Blair witch effect.

    • @E_DOCWatson
      @E_DOCWatson  23 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      For me, I did not buy the creator combo, I already owned the Rode Wireless Pro. I needed a cold shoe to hold the receiver. Plus, recording on device sounds much better, so I don't use Bluetooth. But I can see why people opt for the creator combo. I have a micro light. The lighting angle depends on how high you hold the Pocket. But the real reason I bought this adapter is to be able to use my Action Camera accessories. I think people should have the option to be creative so they need options to attach thing to the Pocket. But anyway... Good points and I completely understand where you are coming from.

    This seems to be the perfect accessory. Bummer it’s 50 bucks here in Germany. Might be worth it though

    • @E_DOCWatson
      @E_DOCWatson  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I waivered for a while before I bought it. This adapter has all the things I want. The ability to attach things securely and to protect the Pocket is worth it

  • @NoliPugay

    You just destroyed the whole pupose of the device which is "Pocket" geeze why buy a pocket camera only to try make it bigger 🤔 I even want a smaller camera than that for travel.

    • @E_DOCWatson
      @E_DOCWatson  8 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Take a look at the adapter. It is very small and does not add much in terms of size and weight. You can still put it in your pocket. For me being able to have mounting points to use additional accessories was more important. Some of the other adapters are two or three times bigger. All in all even with the adapter it is not that big. If you can get one for a good price you should give it a try.

    Whoa! This is nu-watchable, my eyes hurt. I sure hope you didn't film this with a P3, my P3 auto-focuses much better than this. A phone has better auto-focus.
    Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. And, I know this gadget likely works just like you say. Hope you take my criticism as constructive.

      I didn't use the P3. It is the lens I used. I switch to a different lens and the focus is not an issue anymore. I was trying to experiment with something different, other than using b roll. Thanks for the input.
