Content like this gives the presenters a lot of weight when they talk cycling. I know they're former pros, but seeing them compete in these events really shows us they still have the ability to "walk the walk and talk the talk".

Racing on that rubberised surface makes a lot of sense in that style. It's full on, but you wouldn't lose nearly as much skin (especially with sleeves).

Congrats! 4th place for an event you've never done before - awesome! These type of events, and others like the Red Hook crit series, might be a great part of the future of competitive cycling. Perhaps expand this idea to try road cycling races on race car tracks.

Not sure how convinced I am by the intro since I clearly remember how buzzed you were after Red Hook. ;P Awesome, awesome video! Btw, "Rad" means bike in German so Rad Race is a pretty clever play with words as well as obviously a pretty brillaint event.

@@silentcyclist Fixies are definitely appealing, but only if you live in a relatively flat area. If I ever move back to London then I might get a fixie. They are definitely great for relatively flat cities. But my current area has some very steep hills and I don't think a fixie would be suitable at all. I need gears for those hills.

Road on a road and XC mountain bike for years, got a nice fixie in college was more fun than either. Gave it up a few years ago and now I’m currently shopping for fixie parts online it’s just so much fun I miss it

One of the most exciting GCN videos ever. I thought the music fit the video really well, but it was just a little too loud at times where I would have liked to be able to also hear the crowd to get a feel for the atmosphere around the track.
Mad skills mate, these races are super technical, super tight corners, really impressed! Many bike messengers usually are kings in such races but you gave ´em hell! Respect!!

I still have no bloody clue how you did so much overtaking on the second qualifier. This is such a technical course with virtually no space. The races really seem to be determined by the start. At least I thought so... and then I see you taking sweet lines overtaking like a demon, mate!

I think this go kart track format is perfect for fixed gear racing. It has a great rhythm to it and the onboard felt like watching MotoGP. And you’re not going so fast that crashes would be that bad compared to red hook crit. And James’s bike is awesome. Looks amazing with the belt.
When i saw the title i was hoping you were covering the Redbull Last Stand they've held in San Antonio Texas here in USA. For the past 3 years its got increasing insane and one of the most fun races ive seen.

He probably has a regular cycle event insurance. People aren’t so quick to sue in Europe as they are in the US.
