In a weird twisted way, Frostpunk made me understand how dictatorship happens At first you try to be a good ruler, you just want your city and the people to prosper But then it keeps escalating, people aren't happy and they become increasingly violent and disobedient So you start with a few laws, nothing terrible at first When things go well no one is grateful for the work you're doing, but when things go wrong they all point the finger at you No matter how hard you try it's never enough and things keep escalating Slowly but surely you lose your humanity, you start going a darker and darker path telling yourself sacrifices have to be made for the greater good But it's never enough! But for some reason it’s easier when it’s like someone is shooting down my neck and I’m under pressure. It just puts me in the right headspace to actually progress in it, so thank you for this.
This makes me think that it would be great if someone adapted Frostpunk into a TV show, focusing on the escalation of violence from the perspective of a random family caught in the civil war. A conflict between the Faithkeepers and the Stalwarts would make for a compelling storyline. Imagine the city following the Captain's path: the family could somehow be connected to the Faithkeepers (who oppose the Governor), either caught in the conflict or participating indirectly. They would suffer under the Stalwarts' repression, ultimately ending up imprisoned with others in a decaying enclave. This could set up a teaser for season 2, with the family's young daughter swearing vengeance against the Captain

The Real cannon ending should be this.. since is end of the world not a normal day in a normal world you cant have a good democracy ON THE END OF THE WORLD.. you need to think as a body. so the captain route is the best one and more fast to do vs the snow .. reconciliation is for the people that want everyone happy in a Utopia again in the END of the world
But the end of the world has passed, we survived the Great Storm. Sure it is nothing like the old world we lost but to not make the most of it is an even greater loss. This is not the end of the world, but a beginning which should have all the principles we so do desire.

this honestly sold me to the game lol, properly the best non-trailer i came across.
I did not want Adapters to do that. I supported them. Even if I believed transforming our home into safe heaven via warmth, I got my people to be ready to adapt. Our coal storages never were empty, even if we ceased to use it. Our oil is not endless. I wanted to prepare humanity for both.
And I did. My Guards were made not only of progress enforcers, but of adaptors, and allied prisoners. My guards were loyal not to the cause, not to the authority, but to unity.
In the end, I achieved peace, while remaining Steward. Even if little Mary Lost her mother because I couldn't prevent all casualties... I believed I prevented the worst.
The path of peace is narrow.
...and as long as we roam this still, cold world, it has no end...
Order!
ORDER!
*ORDER!!!!!*
awesome bro what a good quality
Do you hear us steward!
All for the sake of the City
Can't help but compare the theme with Tanc a lelec from Highfleet. At start of the game it would sound like the funeral march for you, but at the end, it would sound like a final dance for your enemies.
Ohhhhhhhhh comrade my thanks ! The music itself is outstanding but it really gives me chill with the other sounds and voice !
this shit is fire!
how have you got the audio files? like the narrator voicelines
@@lord_nem3sis extracted them from the games files, i have shared some on the modding discord server
Unpopular opinion: The crowd shouting "steward" sounds way better than "captain"
Democracy is fun while peace reigns. But we all know that chaos cannot last forever. The city must not fall. Long live the Captain.
Glory to the Second Captain of New London!!! 🗣❄🗣❄🗣❄🗣
Fortunately for me in my first play through I was able to send the pilgrims to the wayward moor and still retain democracy by only passing two rule laws. It was pretty hard though.
I need this on Spotify... IMMEDIATELY
absolute cinema🙌
POV your first attempt. It’s about how that went for me
First hour: democracy is non-negotiable
Hour 10: I'll drag this damn city to prosperity no matter the cost!
STEWARD! Do you hear us!?
nah...
the steward probably-
Man, i wish this video has subtitles in spanish so i show this work of art to all people i know
What happen, i need to know
Those prisons aren’t gonna build themselves
Thank you very much
The rise of captain power, people must serve and that's it!
No any power to peasant! Only captain!!
Hail captain!
Steward ! People are dying ! Hear us !
Do you hear us, Steward!?
Всем бойцам! Считайте, что нет смысла править руинами! Сдерживайте себя.
I AM THE STEWARD AND I SHALL HAVE ORDER!
i only played frostpunk 1, and it was really good shit. but it seems frostpunk 2 is the real banger here
Humanity is itself as wild and untamed as the howling chill. Are you taking notes, steward?
CITY MUST STAND. IN ANY COST.
HAIL GENERATOR! HAIL STEWARD THE 1st! HAIL ORDER OF NEW LONDON!
This is magnificent bro.
All hail the Captain
And the Stalwart city guards!
Georgia and Korea today
Think you can add a version without captain or steward being shouted? Wpuld be perfect for a dnd campaign of mine.
Just the citizen chants being removed? you still want the announcer + whiteout siren + generator horn included?
Edit: feel free to post timestamps of what you want removed
@@Arex-is Just the citezen chants. my apologies for such a late response. Whenever they shout steward or captain.

This gave me goosebumps
why has this been the only thing that allows me to focused on task
This is really good
The Real cannon ending should be this.. since is end of the world not a normal day in a normal world you cant have a good democracy ON THE END OF THE WORLD.. you need to think as a body. so the captain route is the best one and more fast to do vs the snow .. reconciliation is for the people that want everyone happy in a Utopia again in the END of the world
But the end of the world has passed, we survived the Great Storm. Sure it is nothing like the old world we lost but to not make the most of it is an even greater loss. This is not the end of the world, but a beginning which should have all the principles we so do desire.
@@eveb9459 Damn Another zealot.. send it to the enclave.. or worse to the frost.. so he can be democratic with the snow
@@eveb9459Only Captain can save city from it itself.U obviously need to think about it in coil mines in other colony.
How did you extract the voice lines from the game? I need to know badly.
@@GruntsAreWin I've extracted them using fmodel and then plucked the soundbanks into foobar to get them into a .wav format, I've uploaded a few of the files onto the modding discord
can you make another one of this but for different endings? I just love how immersive this game is with its soundtracks but I can't appreciate it fully while playing cuz of the gameplay pressure.
ALL HAİL TO GENERATOR.
In korea :
Waiting for next peak.
