I feel so exhusted after at one point i will have seizures in my sleep..I watch your videos because i know other people suffer with them but watching yours have me think people that suffer are so strong as yourself..Thank you for sharing.. Bless your heart, Ang! Being the daughter of a RN for 51 yrs, this was so difficult to watch and even more difficult for you to go through. Vomiting during a seizure is VERY dangerous - You could've aspirated (breathed the regurgitation) back into your lungs and things could've taken a much worse turn!!! Im so glad that wasn't the case. Cola and your Mom is so wonderful with you, but the knowledge I have from my Mom being an RN was crying and screaming, CALL 911 please!!! MyJourneyToBeSeizureFree typically absence seizures! i’ve had grand mal seizures in the past but more recently they are absence seizures. it’s crazy because i’m in the same position right now. i kinda don’t understand why i’m having seizures. all i’m told is they’re non-epileptic seizures.

My sister is epileptic, has had a couple of grand mals and has frequent migraines as well. I have gone through absence seizures and have had migraines at times too. I so wish that they could find a cure for epilepsy. It is the worst thing to go through a seizure. Thank you for being strong enough to share your journey. My daughter throws up with most of her seizures. It's scary and I always panic. I am a Medical Assistant so I have dealt with people having seizures a good bit and I always know what to do, unless it's my daughter. My mind goes blank and I forget what I am supposed to do. I try to stay calm and help her through them but I end up crying and my best friend is talking me through my fear of losing my daughter. She stops breathing with her seizures after she throws up. She is 9 years old and has been going through this since she was 13 months old. Watching your videos and seeing how your mother helps you is amazing and I wish I could be like her. You are a very strong woman.
I had my first ever seizure this Christmas Eve, It was terrifying and I stopped breathing and turned blue. My Mom thought I was dead, So you can imagine what that does to a mom. Mad respect for you and your mom

Ang, I've been watching some of your videos for a few months now. First I must say your SO strong to go through this & video it to share with the world about Epilepsy & Seizure awareness is even more amazing! Watching Cola/Kola (not sure how you spell it) he did EXACTLY as A epilepsy Service Dog is supposed to do, YEAH PUP! I noticed it looked like he was trying to get towards the top of your head which is where the dog's usually try to go if not where they can lay down to smell your breath. He looks young but with some good training He definitely would be awesome! You came out of that first one so much faster. I hope you have a trainer whose helping you as you deserve that support 1 million% from him! Prayers for you becoming seizure free! I don't have seizures but multiple other illnesses and I know what a great service dog can be for someone! Also, huge hugs to your mom for being a GREAT, LOVING, COMPASSIONATE & SUPPORTIVE Mom as not everyone has that! 🤗🤗🤗💝😇

I have never seen anyone having seizure in real, though I used to fall down unconscious for few seconds to a minute (not longer than that), hitting anything with my head. I never had a kind of a pre-warning. Doctors can't tell me exactly why I was like that. It was horrible, but it stops when I began going to college. This seizure you're having seems really horrible too... I hope you'd be able to get well soon... 🙏🙏🙏
I have liked every single video for a long time because you have these seizures but you stay strong and bubbly. You do not deserve this! I'll be here until your seizure free cos I'm going to stand by you because I know you'll do it one day. I have faith in you! You can do this!!
If this is Cola as a puppy, he will be the best adult service dog ever! He’s so young but he’s already attentive and tuned in that there is something different going on and you need him.

What an awesome dog. I struggled with seizures a few times in the past and just found your channel and started watching your videos. It hits home for me. I get really emotional. I don’t even know what kind of seizures I had but from the people who watched they said it was bad. All I remember is waking up and not remembering anyone and being completely freaked out. Sometimes I feel like I’m going to have one but end up not. It is like a panic attack is about to happen x1 million. Thankfully I haven’t had one in over 6 years, but I can somewhat relate. I am praying to GOD the same happens to you, and your seizures go away for good. It is not something I wish on my worst enemy. Merry Christmas Eve to you as well hun 🎄

Do you guys give him a treat or something as a reward after he helps? I wonder if that would encourage him to help, like looking into how to train your service dog... But I'm just so happy that he's in your life, and you kept him. (At first when you said you'll keep him I was thinking 'oh,the other one was way cuter' lol cause I only thought of how cute they were, I didn't think you had watched their personalities attentively already.) Hang in there..I've had over 100 and a 8 yr battle to get the right balance of meds to stop them, but I lead a normal life and appreciate every Sunrise more. We have seizures, but don't let it define you! You define it. xoxoxoox

I’m so glad you have a service dog in training! You should try scent training with him to see if you can get him to alert before the seizure starts there are videos out there that explain how to do it!
I am so sorry that you had to go through it all again, especially on Christmas. I had seizures 3 weeks ago and will be go to the Neurologist to find out the cause. I cant go through one video without crying. I hate that you have to go through this. I've had two seizures that I caused and when my older sister was about 5 she had two really bad ones one lasted 8 hours and the other one 6 hours. I pray one day you will become seizure free.
I once used to have intense bursts of anger during showers. Today I know that was due to the fact that water has a purifying action beyond the physical and that these attacks came precisely to prevent that purification. Got rid of it by remembering of not getting caught in the anger before entering the shower. But I suppose that won't work in this context...
Yay I’m so glad you have Cola. That’s exactly what you need. Definitely need someone always watching you to make sure you don’t vomit and choke on it. So glad u didn’t choke, or inhale on it. Does the Ativan help the migraines? Or just help u sleep more?

What a good dog, idk how old he is but if he is still kinda new he will develop more ways to help comfort you. My dogs did and there not even trained get don't alert me to one but they will cuddle up with me and refuse to leave my side after I've had one or I am sick. Also good on you for trying to recenize what triggers them. A tip in case you don't know lightbulbs that are the swirly tube ones can cause and or trigger seizers even if there not that bright from what I hear so you will want to replace those with normal ones if you have any in your house. Sorry you have to go through seizures so often I hope at lest for Christmas you don't have one

Seizures can go away with time. The brain is very plastic and adjusts. Most important thing is your positive attitude. Eat healthy, exercise, keep stress level as low as possible. You're very lucky to have family support. Also your seizures are relatively short and you seem to recover fast. Hang in there... things will get better.

Is there a surgical procedure out there to help you. I was told after my seizure that's the brain gets traumatized more and more as your seizures progressed

@MyJourneyToBeSeizureFree Yeah I had that happen to me once during a seizure. My puppy ran up the stairs and started licking my face. She stopped my seizure within a couple seconds! It begs to question that if she could do all that without any training, why she didn’t do it every time as most of my seizures are around her. I’m thinking she smelled a sent that we can get during a seizure which no one else can smell.

What type of seizures are you having? Just being diagnosed a month ago i've learned there's so many different kinds! Do you ever get simple partial or complex focals? Or just grand mals.. I'm trying to learn the difference between tonic, clonic, and tonic clonic (which I had and prompted be to see a neuro and end up being diagnosed)
Hello just want to say how brave u are to share this with the world..me and my sister are epileptic..i was diagnosed as a teenage with juvenile myochlonic epilepsy..I'm 43 now. I've been taking Depakote since i was 12..never had a seizure since..just small jerks once in awhile. I've been with my husband since i was 17 and he never seen me have one. My sister on the other hand doesn't know when one will hit. She can be standing and fall flat on her face. Hers are pretty bad..but she also skips doses so that doesn't help. Just wanted to say be strong.

There for you are not epileptic. That's would be called convulsions. Way different than epileptic seizures.

If this is Cola as a puppy, he will be the best adult service dog ever! He’s so young but he’s already attentive and tuned in that there is something different going on and you need him.
Man' I hate seeing people suffer like that, my heart goes out to you and your family, they're some tough folks, and I pray that God protects you and blesses you for going through this.

What an awesome dog. I struggled with seizures a few times in the past and just found your channel and started watching your videos. It hits home for me. I get really emotional. I don’t even know what kind of seizures I had but from the people who watched they said it was bad. All I remember is waking up and not remembering anyone and being completely freaked out. Sometimes I feel like I’m going to have one but end up not. It is like a panic attack is about to happen x1 million. Thankfully I haven’t had one in over 6 years, but I can somewhat relate. I am praying to GOD the same happens to you, and your seizures go away for good. It is not something I wish on my worst enemy.

Am praying for you that you get better. Also, I am happy to see that little Cola is helping you, he was so amazing during your first seizure, it's quite mindblowing to witness. Do you guys give him a treat or something as a reward after he helps? I wonder if that would encourage him to help, like looking into how to train your service dog...

Hang in there..I've had over 100 and a 8 yr battle to get the right balance of meds to stop them, but I lead a normal life and appreciate every Sunrise more. We have seizures, but don't let it define you! You define it. xoxoxoox

I’m so glad you have a service dog in training! You should try scent training with him to see if you can get him to alert before the seizure starts there are videos out there that explain how to do it!

I am so sorry that you had to go through it all again, especially on Christmas. I had seizures 3 weeks ago and will be go to the Neurologist to find out the cause. I cant go through one video without crying. I hate that you have to go through this. I've had two seizures that I caused and when my older sister was about 5 she had two really bad ones one lasted 8 hours and the other one 6 hours. I pray one day you will become seizure free.
How can you tell if you are about to have seizure? What do u feel prior to onset? Pls share
I once used to have intense bursts of anger during showers. Today I know that was due to the fact that water has a purifying action beyond the physical and that these attacks came precisely to prevent that purification. Got rid of it by remembering of not getting caught in the anger before entering the shower. But I suppose that won't work in this context...

What a good dog, idk how old he is but if he is still kinda new he will develop more ways to help comfort you. My dogs did and there not even trained get don't alert me to one but they will cuddle up with me and refuse to leave my side after I've had one or I am sick. Also good on you for trying to recenize what triggers them. A tip in case you don't know lightbulbs that are the swirly tube ones can cause and or trigger seizers even if there not that bright from what I hear so you will want to replace those with normal ones if you have any in your house. Sorry you have to go through seizures so often I hope at lest for Christmas you don't have one

Seizures can go away with time. The brain is very plastic and adjusts. Most important thing is your positive attitude. Eat healthy, exercise, keep stress level as low as possible. You're very lucky to have family support. Also your seizures are relatively short and you seem to recover fast. Hang in there... things will get better.

Is there a surgical procedure out there to help you. I was told after my seizure that's the brain gets traumatized more and more as your seizures progressed

@MyJourneyToBeSeizureFree Yeah I had that happen to me once during a seizure. My puppy ran up the stairs and started licking my face. She stopped my seizure within a couple seconds! It begs to question that if she could do all that without any training, why she didn’t do it every time as most of my seizures are around her. I’m thinking she smelled a sent that we can get during a seizure which no one else can smell.

What type of seizures are you having? Just being diagnosed a month ago i've learned there's so many different kinds! Do you ever get simple partial or complex focals? Or just grand mals.. I'm trying to learn the difference between tonic, clonic, and tonic clonic (which I had and prompted be to see a neuro and end up being diagnosed)

Hello just want to say how brave u are to share this with the world..me and my sister are epileptic..i was diagnosed as a teenage with juvenile myochlonic epilepsy..I'm 43 now. I've been taking Depakote since i was 12..never had a seizure since..just small jerks once in awhile. I've been with my husband since i was 17 and he never seen me have one. My sister on the other hand doesn't know when one will hit. She can be standing and fall flat on her face. Hers are pretty bad..but she also skips doses so that doesn't help. Just wanted to say be strong.
