I watched tones of dog vids, but no great dog trainer ever explained how your own state of mind affects dogs as well. They were explaining how to pull, turn, shock, feed, shout, what tools for what dogs ... But the CALM state of mind is what wins - that's the Rule No1. Cesar The Great.💯🙏🖐️
When my brother and his wife got a kid they had a lot of trouble getting the baby to sleep or to stop crying, and I would get annoyed at them, because they were both so high strung, that it really got on my nerves, so I would say “give her to me” and she would immediately stop crying and go to sleep in my arms. They called me the baby whisperer 😂😂 They thought she was the problem, and I knew they were the ones stressing her out. I even tried to explain to them, that all their incessant fussing over her, were what prevented her from being calm and comfortable, but they as her parents, obviously knew better, she had colic! Funnily enough her colic was completely absent whenever I looked after her 🤷🏼♀️ So having a calm energy works on dogs and babies alike 😊
My mom just avoided touching me as much as possible. I'm hyper empathetic and twice exceptional (both autistic and have a IQ of 169). My awareness to the world is something else. No, I couldn't stand her covert narcissist aka super tense, deep anger, very insecure energy. Unfortunately, she took it as a rejection and rejected me back. I think it hurt her ego extra bc she ran a daycare and usually didn't have trouble with this. My brother had never wanted to be put down. However, I'm so sensitive to emotions that, as a kid, I could tell when she was moody from inside my room in a huge house, with the door shut while playing music. No, all my mom had to do to wake me up was look at me and I'd bolt upright. What can I say, I'm half animal. 😂 Probably why I do so well with them. No, my energy is super calm and assertive. I think I'd have struggled with her energy and everyone else's less if I wasn't so peaceful the rest of the time. No, there's nothing worse than going from super chill to feeling the tension of people seeping into you. It's like sad around a happy person. It's annoying. True while originally when I'd been trying to learn how to grapple with all I picked up as a kid, I'd thought it'd get better if I learned to become more emotionally stable regardless of what happened. Turns out, all it's done is make me even more aware of the switch from calm, alpine lake to crazy, Mumbai. Btw my ability to sense ppl far away isn't as crazy as it sounds. Google quantum field theory. No, matter is energy. It's not a point but a wave that extends far beyond your body. Otherwise we'd fall through the ground bc most of everything is nothing. 😂 No, body language also can change your emotions. It's a two way street and not just top down. In my experience, dogs and humans are exactly the same. The data supports my view. No, it seems our conscious mind does little more than narrative our lives and come up with some sort of rational and innocent sounding reason for our behavior. We start taking action before deciding. No, the only free will you have is if you plan ahead of time what to do. Your narratives do have power thus it's wise to not use other people's narratives, which absolutely are about them getting what they want from the world, instead of what you want. No, all common narratives are not just somewhere wrong but totally the opposite of reality. Then again, we like in a capitalist society. That's only possible so long as you can confuse people and make them emotional, less rational.
I wish people would study these videos and learn more BEFORE adopting rescue dogs, then instead of seeing a dog that they think just needs "love", they could help the dog so much more .
Another perfect example of how a calm, confident owner who can be a strong leader for her dogs will create calm gentle dogs with no behaviour problems. Thank you Caesar for your endless wisdom.❤❤❤🙌🏻
They're the same thing as well as how to behave at work and around your partner. Our conscious brains generally just narrative and rationalize our lives. Calm, assertive energy is useful period. Most of us are conditioned to carry anxiety and worry about the future rather than just living in the moment and letting their fear go.
It's pretty cool to see how dogs are forcing people to empower themselves, you can't get the best out of the dog if you can't get the best out of yourself first.
Training is a process don’t let those bad looks bring you down. And people stop giving others bad looks if they’re training their dog and their dog isn’t perfect. Well, maybe that’s why they’re training it. 😟
One thing I spotted was she was not in dog control mode at all, and of course needed to learn that despite her good intentions. Also I would get treatment for that chest which has been overexposed to the sun, and should be covered. Cesar is the best dog trainer by far that I know of, and understands dog and human psychology.
The phrasing "aggressive poodles" made me laugh, but when I heard "gangster poodles" I began to squeal with laughter. Poodles are so highly intelligent they are very trainable. Heartbreaking the way dogs are sometimes treated by people. Gangster Poodles of San Juan Capistrano....coming soon to Netflix!
Say what you will about her ability to control her dogs. This woman has Heart. California has a major issue with overcrowded shelters and precious animals are being euthanized in unacceptable numbers (2024).
These ppl never watched Cesar, when the dog charges toward other dog & owner pulls leash toward themselves-That fuels the dog into protective mode. Sheesh people! Watch a few episodes, already!
I’ve been watching for 20yrs, before I had a dog of my own as an adult. She was the best dog I ever had! I could take her anywhere off leash and not worry about her. I have a 6yo German shepherd and a 1.5yo pit/rottie and neither are up to the same status as my first dog. Problem is my hubs doesn’t enforce the rules like I do
And many talk badly about Pitties. When are people going to get it through their skulls, that a dog is a dog, and ALL DOGS have the ability to attack?! But when your dog is obedient, like my PITTIE, you don't concern yourself with any provoked or unprovoked attacks. She (3 years of age) hasn't yet, and won't anytime soon.
I like how they try to trick you at the start, I'm listening to that woman and her energy is good, she seems confident, I don't really get it, then her friend is introduced who actually has the problem and within 2 seconds it was clear why lol
I feel like giving up on my dog as she barks constantly at the neighbours, one in particular who apparently annoys her and throws his garbage over his neighbour's fence and even into the tree, and also disobediently runs away if she gets out on her own and only returns when she's ready. She's very smart but I worry she might attack someone although she's very friendly but has this aggressive alter-ego which can take over in a flash. She's very gentle with small children though and is aware of how easily they could be hurt, and also adults. She's a Staffy cross and not afraid of anyone or any large dog.
Treating anyone who has been victimized like victims they're stuck in the mindset and can't get beyond what they are constantly reminded of by well meaning people 😢dogs are going to react to how you treat them
There is another message for parents, teach your chuldren, especially girls how to be calm, self controlled, poised, vs squealing, excited people 24x7. It will serve them well in adult life. There is time for excitement and silliness, but as we see here when its your constant demeanour it affects your life.
Same old same old. Owner cant walk a dog, not in charge and not correcting the dogs. Wrong leash. Cesar re-trains the owners and the dogs fix themselves, although this owner kept forgetting the basic principles.
This just happened with my neighbors poodle and I warned her like 5 times bc my dogs an 80lb dogo argentino/American bulldog mix and she’s not gonna be ok with this behavior but she didn’t listen and a couple weeks ago my dog grabbed her dog and I freaked out ! She was frozen in fear as was I and thankfully her dog wasn’t hurt bc I had to hit my dog which broke my heart but the people here w little aggressive dogs think it’s cute and to me it’s a nightmare! Wth!🤦🏼♀️
She’s doing everything in her power to save her dogs, she’s ON THE SHOW WITH CEASAR. There will always be people like you regardless of the subject. Here, this is for you: “ cha!” …. Calm down. Look at my eyes, here’s a cookie. Good girl. ❤ “ch” good girl. Relax.
@@hazelthedog after people won't walk with her and she's caused havoc. Try walking a 75 lb 90 lb German Shepherd and having this little dog's lunch at you and you having to hold your dog back so they don't get killed
l had a poodle/sharpei mix. He was the best dog ever! Always smiling but he was also fearless around other dogs that were clearly above his abilities but would not back down. Other dogs sensed this and let him be at the dog park when things got a bit aggressive. He wasnt an aggressor tho, more an enforcer of calming down the rise.
"Too many people give up on dogs". I felt that. but this lady did not, kudos to her, bless.
She won’t give up.. she will spoil the thing FOREVER..
Be the boss, not bossy. Teach your pack your expectations and never except less.
Expectation - correction - exception, then move forward.

Try watching “no bad dogs” with Tom Davis. I love him and American standard dog training. Cesar of course is the og! I’ve been watching him for 20yrs
Cesar is truly a dog psychologist, always training humans to manage their energy and ready to take in dogs for rehabilitation
When my dogs misbehave now, I am constantly asking myself, “what would Cesar do?” He is awesome!
Me to! It's really helped me with issues.
Love this woman and her big heart for rescue dogs!!

Exactly the same holds true with horses. Good pack leader = quiet, confident owner.
Too many people have zero idea about controlling a dog. Sadly the same, these days, with children.

nice Diaan respect
9:16 you can see the owner tense up on the leash. That’s why the dog reacted
These are bichon frises not poodles. They shape their owner’s behavior. Can be very strong willed.

Mine is like that, i think i need Cesar , I have try some of the techniques but it doesn’t work 😓
Sometimes the way you hold your dogs makes him feel aggressive on chain
Often you hear my dog is out of control or crazy. The solution is educate the owner and not the dog.
