  • I was experimenting with a generative patch on the Mother-32 while recording a new track. So I decided to make a short demo. Maybe it will give you some inspiration. ;)

Incredible ambients from one little synth and a great reverb. It seemed eerily familiar and then I realized it reminded me of whale song. Can't wait to hear more from you!

The bass sound at 4:35 is neat .

Yes indeed. Since I had a random output assigned to the VCO/OCT this low key arrived just at the right moment.😄 But you can achieve the same thing if you enter a low key, put the VC MIX at the lower part of the knob. Then its just having fun with the Frequency and the LFO for the tremolo. :-) I also like the bass two seconds after 04:50 as well. ;) Shaking the room. Thanks for the feedback! 👋

Thanks for the idea! Moog Dfam videos are definitely on my radar. Let's keep the conversation clean and put a mute button on the f-bombs. Much appreciated!🎧🙌

You had me until you went into random mode. It seems everything cool about this machine requires zero midi and DAWless. Still like the sounds you make.

Thanks for watching and for your feedback! I do use MIDI and a DAW in some of my videos, but I also enjoy exploring the possibilities of standalone instruments like the Moog Mother-32. Regarding the random mode, I understand that it may not be everyone's cup of tea. However, I find it to be a fun and creative way to explore the machine's capabilities as an instrument. It's all about experimenting, having fun and finding what works best for you. Thanks again for your support!👋

You can use this as a standard monophonic analog synth with MIDI if you want. But any synth can do that. It’s the semi modular nature of this synth that makes it unique and so flexible for creating more unique tones. It also produces great bass sounds, and leads. Works fine with a DAW. I wish it had USB midi but if your interface has 5 pin MIDI, it should work well with your computer.
